I have just bought my first home to renovate. I went into b&q bolton store for a kitchen appointment And met with amanda finney. She was absolutely incredible. Designed me the perfect kitchen! I had so many questions about everything and she explained and helped me out every step of the way. I couldn’t of received better customer service, nothing was to much for her. She made the experience enjoyable and the price could not be beaten. 10/10 on price 10/10 on design 10/10 on customer service Amanda deserves credit for the work she is doing and is an asset to the team! THANKYOU!

I purchased wardrobe doors and a wardrobe kit from B&Q. The kit comprised 2 columns of shelves. One column kit had all the correct parts. The other column kit had a blank shelf which was supposed to have 4 bracket fixings, 20mm dia and to a depth of about 3/4 thickness. I contacted B&Q on 26/6/20, initially by phone. It's all automated, having negotiated the maze of options, got through to the one for live support. Silence for about 1 minute, then the message 'the other party has disconnected' Wasted money trying that a few times, while at the same time submitting online query on their website and emailing. Had an email reply on 5/7/20 apologising and stating replacement is needed, but no details on when or where. Have emailed several times since, but only get automated reply. As at 1/8/20, B&Q still failing miserably and I'm stuck with a blank shelf. Absolutely useless.

Purchased scratch resistant flooring and within 12 hours of it being down it has scratched! Contacted B&Q in January and apart from repeated emails requesting the same information from me, nothing has been done! Awful customer service! I’m sure this is against my consumer rights!

Searching out a discontinued paint, found B&Q had 2 in stock at a store 33 miles away. Drove down for the store opening next morning to be told by staff they haven't had any of that paint line for "1-2 years". Wasted 2 hours and a couple of gallons of fuel, customer services completely uninterested, firstly trying to feed me some guff about Google caching archived web pages, then when I called them out on this, they blamed me for not calling ahead to check stock. That a company their size cannot update a stock item, potentially 2 years out of date is laughable.

I purchased a rattan outdoor furniture in June . The settee leaked dye on the new decking. My complaint has not been resolved despite emails calls and photos. The furniture cost £ 550 and has ruined part of the decking. Band Q asked us to return the items which had been delivered in a large wagon back to the store but could not guarantee the new one would be free from excess dye. We now have to sand the decking ,buy more paint/sealant costing £35 and we do the whole decking. Thanks for nothing Band Q!!!

Having ordered a plain white door with other goods I was informed that the door was to be supplied by a different company within 4-5 working days , due to Covid May be 10 days . 14 days later door arrives and when unwrapped found to be damaged , could not get thro to BNQ on phone after several attempts got on line chat and was told they would get new door ordered as a priority on 12 th June , now 25 th and heard nothing from either BnQ or delivery company so not only out of pocket with faulty door but also having to arrange refit time with joiner and added cost for new call out . Terrible customer service they just don’t give a toss .

Order 3 chairs for the garden got an email confirming delivery, no show. Waited a week then rang to enquire. Was informed Stockport warehouse would ring never did. However they turned up to day left stacked chairs plus the table. Just checked chairs one has busted webbing how this ever was allowed to leave Stockport beggars belief. Now awaiting a call to arrange replacement... wonder if you will be ringing me as promised. Should have used ARGOS only my self to blame

I have brought 3 kitchens from B & Q Not happy with last kitchen and the customer service have said that its our fault. Brought 2 and a half years old and all doors and drawer fronts are peeling ( laminate doors )peeling not only where this might be our fault but in areas where there is no kettle no sink just cuboards on the floor 10 foot away from any POSSIBLE moisture. So if you are planning to put a sink in your house dont buy a b and q kitchen. I will contact trading standards, I will post on FB and help your customers have an imformed overview of your products.

Under the circumstances of covid-19 B&Q have taken every step to ensure keeping customers & staff safe, secure whilst shopping. It is self service & card payments only which is understandable. I have been to many B&Qs & other retailers & so far hats off to B&Q. They actually have people in positioned to direct to areas & return to sections if example paint department is full. A special mention to Acton Branch in Park royal A40 the queue system is brilliant & the average time waiting is 10 to 15 minutes. Not so many customers are allowed in the buliding compare to other B&Q & retailers I have shopped in recently. Well done guys.

Went to a shop for bits and pieces, found a nice garden table set but had paper sheet on stating this is only for display and have to purchase online, went online, says can buy only at the shop... 🙄 This week tried to buy a saw online but they dont have it in stock filled in the form online to ask when they will restock, at the end of submission of form an error appears, probanly would be the same phoning in.

2 out of 4 radiators I received were damaged on delivery. The delivery man literally chucked them out of the van, dragged them across my patio and as a result damaged 2 out of 4 with dents and severe damage on one. The delivery man would not take them back. I called B and Q customer service and explained and they insisted it was my fault that I didn't return them back with the driver when they very well know that THEIR policy is to arrange returns. The lady on the phone loudly shouted at me, repeatably telling me it "IT IS YOUR FAULT" and these are the exact words she used. I maintained calm and polite but was really upset. They finally offered an exchange but the item is out of stock. I am left with extra plumbing costs as I have to bring in the plumber in again to install the replacement, and now I have to choose another radiator which won't match the one I already have installed in the living room. I asked to speak to the manager and was not allowed to talk to the manager because the manager "is busy managing the team" was the excuse I was given. They manager via the customer service assistant offered £35 off a damaged £235 radiator or nothing. The service is disgrace and the worst I have ever experienced. A horrible experience.

Customer service below any standards. My shower screen exploded when nobody was in the bathroom. They offered me a replacement I have requested a refund but they are unable to provide me with it. My wee daughter could have been injured twice as while installation a guy put his foot and made a big hole in my ceiling. Absolutely disgusted. DON't GET A BATHROOM FROM B&Q !!! DON'T get anything from them !!

Ok so firstly the kitchen is absolutely gorgeous. We totally love it but maybe a lot of that is to do with the expert fitter we used (not B and Q's) The issues we had were no hob, not enough floorboards and under floor cushioning, parts missing and even extra parts. How they could get an order so wrong is beyond me. I called up to say I had no hob and not enough flooring only to be told it would be delivered in 12 days. My fitter proposed to be finished in four! With a pregnant partner I refused to accept it and within two days the hob arrived. After speaking to numerous people from B and Q I decided to go back and collect the missing flooring myself (far easier!) incidentally when I arrived someone was there complaining about their kitchen delivery! So now I had a hob and the flooring but there were still bits of a cupboard missing. My fitter managed to make it work with off cuts and he's done an amazing job. Needless to say very disappointed with B and Q especially considering all this was going on while my partner was 36 weeks pregnant. Every cloud though - we do have a gorgeous kitchen!

we bought the kitchen in October and had it all planned by Tom and Paul came and did a survey which he did to perfection as we had measured wrongly and he managed to squeeze in a spice rack and 2 more standing cupboards and a wine rack. Had the kitchen delivered on 10 January from Doncaster - and it arrived when they said it would (via a text) - Paul came on Monday 15 January to start it - he got all the old kitchen units off and he finished it on Friday 19 January - never stopped for a proper lunch - he was so diligent and efficient - very happy with the colour and all the appliances.

Bought a Radiator cover for £98 to find it was damaged in two places , I had to pay someone with a van to get me this , I have not got the time or the money to come repeat this , every box was damaged apart from the one I had , which a kind member of your staff got ladders and got up to top shelve to get this for me and it was the last undamged one at bottom of pile , a young guy I asked about cover said there was no more , yet the 2nd guy I asked did this for me , just ashame about damage inside , I bought this last Friday morning !

I'd have scored customer care 0 stars if I could, we were supposed to have our kitchen fitted on 21st august, no fitters turned up so tried phoning B&Q fitting service customer care, what a shambles got the answer phone numerous times before actually speaking to someone, to cut a long stressful story, they had no idea the fitter hadn't turned up, they finally found another fitter to start on 4 th sept, in the meantime our dining room furniture is in our bedrooms, our kitchen cupboard items are in living room dining room and bedrooms (because we had to empty them for the refit )due to our new flat pack kitchen and cooker are in our dining room, when it's finally fitted and I ring up to see what they're prepared to do, all they offer is £150 gift card, what an insult, we put our faith in B&Q because it's s big company, obviously money comes before customer satisfaction

From start to finish B&Q have been amazing!!!! Fran designed the kitchen and has been my rock throughout. The goods arrived when they should have with a call to confirm date and time etc. The Homefit team called me to confirm start dates and details about the fitters the week before the fit began. Wayne, Simon, Daz, Dave and Sam were brilliant, arrived as I was told at 8.30, cleaned up their mess every day and their work ethic was brilliant. I couldn't believe how much work was done the first day, with the plasterer, Sam, not leaving until 6.45pm. By the end of day 2 the carcasses were all in place. End of day 3 all the appliances and the flooring was in. End of day 5 the entire kitchen was done, just a door missing which was fitted the following Tuesday. Yet again, a call to advise when the door would be delivered and the time Daz was coming to install! I cannot express how grateful both myself and my husband, Paul, are for the work they have done. Absolutely brilliant. The kitchen is beautiful, no snagging to mention and the whole experience has gone far smoother than I could have imagined. Even the guys who came to take away all the rubbish were messaging me times etc and were early to take away all the rubbish. I arrived to work today to receive an email from Fran asking how it all went, as she was on holiday throughout the fit, fantastic customer service!!! I have no qualms about recommending B&Q homefit team to anybody who is considering have a new kitchen installed!!! Well done everybody, you have our eternal gratitude for an excellent job. My kitchen is my new "Happy Place"

Not very happy with B&Q, I feel without any doubt that your prices are getting dearer every time i go there i had to buy a 2.5Ltr tin of Ronseal decking stain to finish my daughters decking off.. the price on the shelf is £27! to say i was shocked is an understatment. its strange because the last 2 tins i bought at another retailer was £12.99 YES!! TWELVE pounds 99p.that is more than half the price of the B&Qs..put another way a tin in B&Q £27... 2 Tins i bought at another retailer £25.98. What makes my blood boil is does anyone really think that a retailer is selling a tin of Ronseal decking stain at £12.99 and not making a very decent profit? i'v bought a lot of goods over the years at B&Q but will definitely be looking to shop elsewhere in the future, very unhappy shopper who knows we are beeing ripped off by BIG Business AGAIN.

Coventry.... Please whatever you do don't have the home fit total incompetence the fitter we had was awful turned up 3days late to start, was cutting everything inside the kitchen/dining area mess everywhere we left him to it while we were at work 🙈 The mess was awful, wouldn't communicate with you just tried to do his way & when we confronted him he went in a mood his attention to detail was laughable cut joints stood out like a sore thumb could not do the work top (earthstone) joints what you are not supposed to see you could see off the top deck of a bus 🚌 and ther was a colour variation what he never mentioned just carried on, any way to cut a long story short we had him kicked off the job, fit started End of Jan 2017 completed March 17th, Home fit team don't pass messages on project manager don't return calls constantly chasing them. This was supposed to be a one week installation STRESS FREE!!!!!!!!!!! What a joke

We are currently in the process of renovating our house. As part of this we have had all the walls re-plastered. The guy doing the plastering and decorating has worked for me for years and knows his stuff. All walls were mist coated and primed before the top colour going on, all the other walls in the house have covered fine, including another dark wall in the master bedroom which covered beautifully in three coats. The guest bedroom we chose a lovely rich red / burgundy colour for one of the walls. After 7 coats and 5 litres of Valspar premium paint it still wasn't covered, it's still picture framing and patchy. I went back to my local b&q and was advised to leave the room "as is" as Valspar would probably want to send a technician to see the wall, I was given a number to contact b&q customer services. I contacted them and we started an email conversation. At their request I sent pictures of the wall at various stages, the paint, the batch number etc etc, after a week of hearing nothing I contacted them again to ask if someone was going to come and take a look, the room is still out of action and the bed which has been moved is now damaging the new carpet. I told them this needed to be resolved asap otherwise the carpet would need replacing. I was told 'we're waiting for valspar' another week passed and several more emails chasing what was going on and I then get an email saying that the reason it's taken so many coats is becuase we didn't prime the wall!! Are they serious!!! We'd already told them it had been primed and even sent the photos!!! It's cost me 3 days of a decorators time instead of a day and a half, it's going to cost me another day to get more paiting done, plus my time and fuel to go to the store to get more paint plus now the carpet is damaged and will need to be replaced, b&q couldn't give a damn!! All they offered me was another tin of paint, I then threatened to take them to court and they also offered me a £100 voucher! What a joke, I'm going to be nearly a £1000 out of pocket becuase of their rubbish paint!! So b&q, I've got nothing to loose and the court papers will be filed. I'll see you there!

We had a kitchen contract with B & Q back in summer 2016. They have started in November 2016. The process was horrible from start and yet not finished. The kitchen's measurement was wrong, they also charge us for gas and we have electric hob (they haven't refunded our money yet after numerous requests from us), the cabinet's handles are not straight and there are holes around them, there is a massive gap between the bottom cabinets and plinths, inside some cabinets are poorly installed, there is a massive gap between top cabinets, damages has been to our flooring, washing machine and fridge and when we complained to them, they pulled out the installer and promised us to rectify the issues and send their second installer. They messed us around about two weeks and left us with so much dust and a horrible looking kitchen. After chasing them every day, finally the second installer came around to sort out the issues and every thing was worse than before as apart from the huge gap between plinths and cabinets, the color of the plinths is also different (one ivory and one cream). Then the tiling went wrong. The tiles are uneven (as the space between bottom cabinet and top cabinet wasn’t measured correctly) and the grouting is all over the cabinets, tiles, walls and floors and also tabs. The sink has got paint stain and also scratches. They had to do the second measurement which they haven’t done that. The legs of the bottom cabinet should have been adjusted so there would be no gabs between the plinths and the bottom cabinets. Then the tiling had to be done then the top cabinets. The doors of the cabinets should have been changed due to the poor handles installation which they haven’t done etc. we complained to them and they dismissed our complaint without even seeing our kitchen. We also called customer services on numerous times but no solution and also we had to pay phone bills. We went to the store and asked one of the store’s manager to talk to them (installation team) in order to come and visit our kitchen. Finally, they came around but they ignored most of the facts. We complained to furniture ombudsman and awaiting the process. They ruined our Christmas holiday, put us on tremendous stress, damaged our property, ruined our materials and wasted our time and money.
