“Many subjects and very supportive teachers and administrative team. They make things really easy for international students and the support from guidance counsellor to choose subjects for completion of Ontario High School certificate is very important. highly recommended.”

“I feel there is a teacher student interaction missing in the stream. There should me some recorded lectures by the respective teachers on important subjects. I felt my kids are listening to other teachers on youtube if they find subject difficult to understand”

“We only have experience with the online self directed courses. We found them to be outdated and poorly organized. Much of the course work has not yet been graded and some assignments are not even graded, just exercises in frustration. We will not sign up for anymore online courses.”

“Such a great program. Blyth provides accurate, professional, interesting videos and uses relevant online technology to keep students engaged rather than relying on teachers who can easily lose a student's interests. They follow up the technological lesson with similarly relevant readings and questions. This program is far better than any curriculum the public system has to offer. My children often sit for hours in front of a screen listening to a teacher who has lost their interest and who gesture to things on the blackboard that can not be seen by a student sitting at home. The content is so thorough as well! Its thoroughness is without compare. Job well done”

“Good online programs, sometimes more tech support needed for first timers. Workload can be heavy if you are taking other courses and are under time constraints to get a course finished.”

“The online program was very good. I especially appreciated the fact that the text could be read out loud which really helped my son. There are some sections that should be updated and made more current. In addition, there are some grammatical and spelling errors in places. In general the content was well presented and the videos that were included were also excellent.”

“My daughter took Grade 12 Functions through Blyth and it was a great experience compared to her previous quad taking calculus on-line/in person through her regular school (that experience almost drove her to a nervous breakdown, and she's great at math). The Blyth teacher was very supportive and was always available to answer questions. Blyth on-line support was excellent. Not to rain on public school teachers, they are doing their best but it's been hit and miss with how effectively they have been able to pivot to on-line delivery of material in the quadmester system. Blyth seems to have it all worked out. Would definitely recommend.”

“I appreciate the variety of online courses available through Blyth. I think my only complaint would be in how the course content is not completely revealed from the beginning; it has to be unlocked once work is completed. It makes it more difficult for my kids to plan ahead and lay out their semester because they don't know how many assignments are coming next. But I can't complain about the course content itself, or the involvement of the teachers. The interface is easy to use and the support is great. Bravo!”

“I find that the administrative staff at Blyth are incredibly helpful and quick to respond to all my requests for support or information. I feel the courses are very, very text heavy and take much longer than any other online courses. This is an area in which I think Blyth can improve. I also feel that the module content should be carefully reviewed against the assessment pieces, as there is often a disconnect (either the assessment pieces contain information not in the modules, or they contain questions which are much more difficult than the examples explored in class).”

“Unfortunately I was pretty disappointed with the online course my daughter took. Often, she had to wait more than a week for responses to questions she had and when I contacted the instructor by email asking for a phone call there was no response. It ended up taking much longer than planned to complete the course due to the lack of responsiveness. Wouldn't recommend at all but maybe the in-class experience is better.”

“We are taking BAO because we lived in different countries. We are living in HK. Under the pandemic situation, no matter local school or online course, things go via Web Based class. By either ways, the class format are the same. Therefore, why settle for the less. We found that BAO is much more complete and flexible. The online assignment and online exam can be proceeded in our own schedule. Most importantly, there is no politically brainwash materials in the content of the BAO courses. We want to encourage our kid with proper value system, justices and freedom.”
