I enquired about a car with the Nottingham branch but it didn't have the options I wanted. I then got constant calls and when I picked up and told them I was no longer interested and explained why, the salesperson hung up on me before I could finish. I called back immediately but... surprise, surprise, he was on another call. Now I may not have wanted to buy the car in question, but I may want to buy a car from them in the future and my friends and family may want to buy a car from them, but when you suffer rude and unprofessional service, it reflects not just on the sales person, but on the business as a whole. I will certainly be telling the people I know about this and advising them NOT but have anything to do with Bristol Street Motors.

My daughter bought a car with warranty after 2 months the clutch went and also the slave cylinder a month later she is still without a car she was told to have a curtesy car it will take up to 4 weeks from when the car goes in for repair. THESE WARRANTIES ARE NOT WORTH THE PAPER THEY ARE WRITTEN ON. The garage in Harlow Essex are USELESS. No communication. All they want to do is take your money with no after sales service. Until something goes wrong people never find out about these problems I hope no one else who were unlucky enough to buy a car from these COWBOYS experience this stressful times my daughter has gone through. One star isn’t low enough for this garage

Bristol street motors stoke , well where can I start , firstly bought a 2017 plate grand cmax in oct 2020, I had also bought the 3 year warranty with it . First few months the gps aerial didn't work then a few months later the clutch began to groan , it went back they changed the clutch plate , fine! but a month later it did it again , turns out they did not change the thrust bearing , basically a cheap repair , it turned out to be the flywheel, I believe the mechanic did not check anything !!! , but thought cheapest option , now 31 March 2022 the door rubbers on both front doors were falling off and guess what !!! Not covered on the warranty !!! 18 months of ownership !!! £12000 car , customer service is bad , I also spoke to Steven heath of stoke branch he fobbed me off . Terrible garage , please if you wanna buy a car !! Not here !!!

Sent my 4wd car in for MOT, they failed it as it didnt work with their 2wd brake rollers. I explained they should do a decel test instead as per MOT guidelines, they ignored me and did it anyway. This could have damaged the transfer box permanently. II politely complained twice, and was promised someone would call me back both times. Neither call happened. I then got upset, and they have banned me from coming back. Avoid at all costs, these people are morons.

My Nisson X-Trail had Oil and Dpf lights on Dash . Bristol St motors flatly refused help with the problems . Terrible treatment of my custom . I took the car to local garage and he did a Re-gen and turned warning lights off for just £75.00 . Bristol can Whistle in future for my business !

Absolutely shocking, terrible mechanics and dishonest lie about the work they have done. Bad management old school. no customer service skills will rip you off. AVOID READ REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING AS THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS TERRIBLE. The complaints department is just as bad.

visited today to your store in Leicestershire . Sales Manager at entrance mentioned price of Raynolt Captur as £8500 , I cross checked it and then sit for all procedure . As I was on my break , I went back come again second time at their called time (14:30 ) first waited for app 45 min and then all discussion , trial was done already in morning . Approximately after 3 hr of discussion , sales Manager Lynda mentioned - sorry that she mentioned wrong amount to me initilally ; actual proce of Car is £ 9500 and not 8500. Had , I knew this is the price ; I could have organise my day accordingly or should have gone to some where else . This was worst experience from any Sales person in my life , I never expected treatment of this kind from a Sales professional of high level .

Bristol Street Motors Hyundai St Philips Causeway... I had an issue with stuttering when pulling away or starting from a stop position uphill. My Tuscon has done under 18000 miles and is just over two years old so we’ll in warranty. I took it in and two days later was told they had done a diagnostics and experienced the problem so would need get to the clutch as they thought that was it. I heard nothing so on the 8th day of my vehicle being there I phoned. They said nothing had been done yet as short staffed. I did not receive a simple one minute call to let me know. I needed my car so I collected it. I took it back in and the manager said it will be done ASAP because of the last error. It is TEN DAYS today I nothing from them so I phoned and was told diagnostics have not found an issue with your car. Remember originally they said they found the issue. I have never received such incredibly poor service and dismal communication in my life and I am 52. How can a business operate like this? Choose carefully when buying or servicing your treasured car and don’t accept shabby service.

Daughter bought a car, after electric fault on top of another talk to theses people about the car who would but the car back at book price although they are getting another car from them. The car is still under a three months warranty but they would exchange the car at what they paid for it now a young couple with three young children two of which are disabled now has to borrow more money to get a car. Obviously there 3 months warranty and supplying a reliable car isn’t there priority.

Dishonesty and discrimination resonates from this garage/mechanical side to the main office. Money stolen from my car during servicing, to complete deciept in the office. Was lied to enquiring about courtesy car, was told they do not do this anymore, only to find on the next service the lady infront of me was picking up her courtesy car. I do 50,000 miles per year/4 services per year, (lots of money) and not offered a courtesy car or lift home? Also a week before going to Bristol Street ford Stroud, I asked them do do the CV boot on my driver's side, when I returned it hadn't been done, they said the wrong one turned up? I had the car in at 07.30, I would of thought being such a big company they could of ordered another and fitted in the same day, but No? They said book it back in(another day of work) This place is a shambles. Avoid at all cost.

Shocking approach to customer care which they mistake for reputation management. Purchased a nearly new Hyundai - £40k o. 7th October. The day after delivery it was towed to garage where it remains 2 months later. It turns out that BSM had undertaken some major engine repairs (3 occasions) and these had been done negligently. This was not disclosed. The manufacturers warranty is invalid. There has been no urgency from BSM to resolve the compliant - why would they, they have the money in their bank account. They refuse to answer simple questions because they know they are liable. It’s a mess that is heading to court and totally avoidable. You will find out that BSM response to customer complaints is to pass you round the houses but not to resolve the problem. There is no escalation process or no other means to deal with problems. It is appalling customer service. The test of customer service is sorting out problems when things go wrong. No offering you a drink etc when they want you to buy a car from them. My recommendation - buy elsewhere and make sure they tell you the truth and disclose any previous problems that would invalidate the warranty. They should anyway but that is not my experience. I’ll expect a bot response that alludes to dealing with problems but just moves the issue on!

they fought hard to get out of a warranty issue. I intended to take them to small claims as had a good case but then covid happened and it became too difficult at that time . It had been stressful and i did not bother . they also said my brake pads and discs needed replacing at rear and front as very low . it was nonsense and they are still ok 4 years later and pass MOT although they look at them only visually .

We purchased a 2nd hand peugeot from the Oxford branch of Bristol Street Motors back in June this year. We had the car checked over within three days of purchase by our trustworthy local garage and they found that the battery was underpar and recommended it be replaced before it let us down. We contacted Bristol Street Motors and they has no interest in replacing it. Their suggestion was to see how the car performed in the next few months, and if we had a problem with the battery they would look after us. Little comfort when you're relying on the car to take you to your destination without the worry of being stranded with grandchildren or on the way to the airport. Smaller second hand car dealers, who tend to have a bad reputation for one reason or another, have actually been known to replace faulty batteries without further ado. Yet a large concern such as Bristol Street Motors are penny pinching. I say this as they also attempted to sell us an additional warranty which would have been of no value as the car had already gone beyond the qualifying mileage quoted on their T&Cs. Not a great experience. Won't be recommending them to anyone. Be warned!

I have been in touch with trades and standards as im sick of getting mucked about from Bristol street motors and will be seeking legal advice. This has caused me so much stress and will never trust Bristol street motors again i would expect this poor service from a back street garage not a big main dealer like Bristol street motors .

To say I was apprehensive buying a car in lockdown was an understatement- add to that the fact the car I wanted was over 200 miles away - I have to say I was delighted with the whole process. Jared from the Stoke Ford branch put my mind at ease from the off, clear communications, great price, even part exchange was hassle free. Nothing was too much trouble, video of my new vehicle and regular updates. Contactless buying easily arranged. Would use again and highly recommend!! Mention also for my local BSM branch in Sunderland, one small problem dealt with immediately- and at my convenience.
