“Purchased braces with plastic fittings for air travel. Clips do not fasten correctly. It seems likely that they should give an audible 'click' as they snap shut, but these will not do so however hard they are pressed. Further experiment shows that, whilst the clips work perfectly well for my lightweight summer trousers, they fail to shut properly on the waistband of a pair with a heavier, cavalry twill style cloth. When they are working and the clips snap shut they are extremely effective.”

Hi Charles, I have had our warehouse bring the same item over so I can see for myself how the clips work. It does seem there should be a 'snap' shut on the braces. There could be two reasons why this is not happening; either the trousers that the clips are being clipped on to are very thick, or there is an issue with the clips themselves. I am going to arrange a phone call with you so I can understand in better detail the issue but I would also like to remind you we have a 30 day returns policy at British Braces if you are not satisfied with your purchase. “Bought some braces for over a week ago. Haven't received tracking number or any confirmation except payment transaction. They don't answer on mail either...”

“These are the braces from heaven! Comfortable wide straps that don't twist. Sturdy clips that stay put, even on coudory. Not to mention the amazing selection of colours and amusing patterns. My only disappointment is that I didn't discover them until now.”

“The name BRITISH BRACES implies, or at least strongly suggests that the said items may/could be actually British. One item, was made in USA and was in honesty of good quality; the other was of average quality and made in China. The cost of the latter far exceeded that which I could have purchased online, albeit I would have to wait 21 days for delivery. A Company in Britain which supplies Braces from USA, China and most probable elsewhere best describes BB. DMC”

“The 'airport security friendly' braces I bought arrived very quickly, and are perfect for the job... Heavy duty plastic clasps are performing well during my pre-flight testing, a little bulky, but not a problem, even when driving, and they don't scrape my leather driver's seat like the metal clasps on my old braces... If you don't like removing metallic items to go through airport checks I'd recommend this product as a good solution, but they're excellent also for everyday use, especially if you load up trouser pockets with tools, for instance... Recommended.”

“I ordered two pairs of braces two days before I was due to pick up a new suit expecting to be able to wear the suit by the middle of the next week. I was very pleasantly surprised to receive the braces the same day that I collected my suit. Superb service and excellent quality braces.”

“Bought these as a bit of jokey present for my husband as I was fed i seeing him hauling up his old work jeans!! They have proved a huge hit with him (and me) The quality is excellent, they were certainly made to last. No more droopy trousers..hurrah!!”

“The braces that were sent were good and came in good time. However when I ordered I never received an email confirmation of the order. This would have been really usueful because I received an XL bow tie, now I don't know if I made the mistake or they did as I am a 16.5inch neck which doesn't relate to XL”

Hi Ben, Thanks for your feedback, I have checked your order and it seems the Bow Tie you ordered is a standard fully adjustable size. I have had our warehouse staff drop one off with me so I can take a look for myself if these are sized 'XL'. The Bow Tie is fully adjustable from extremely small all the way through to XL.
