prices went up dramatically within the first 2-3 months we've joined. Ends up being more expensive than our traditional suppliers. Looking to move away from them now.

Hi there - we're very sorry to hear you're unhappy with the changes to our rates. Our variable tariff reflects the true cost of energy, and wholesale prices - those that energy firms pay for gas and electric - have surged to their highest levels since 2018 due to post-lockdown demand, which is why a typical member will now see a slight increase in their billing, paying £1.33 more for their energy a week. If this doesn't work for you, then we don't charge any exit fees should you change suppliers.

The ease of change over was fab and the continuing ease of use is great, we stupidly changed over to Scottish Power some time ago but luckily we moved home and we're able to use Bulb again. Phew!

Good prices BUT apparently my property not suitable for Smart meter so can understand not Bulbs fault. I inherited a pay as you go meter so i pay more than i should. Asked Bulb to switch to standard meter ( bear in mind cant have Smart). £130 required! So i am stuck on the most expensive pay as u go meter. Appreciate that Bulb 👍.

Hi Neil, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. I'm sorry that your metering setup isn't currently suitable for smart meters. Sadly we have to charge to exchange prepayment meters for 'traditional meters' as these are not subsidised by the government, whereas smart meters are. Bulb have charged an unjustifiable amount of money, a 1 bed flat single person over £100 per month? They obscure the facts and hide behind their do gooder façade all the while ripping people off. My advice is avoid this scam of a company at all costs.

Very expensive. I switched from utilita my electricity cost twice what I paid before. Going back to utilita.

,Excellent, easy to use website, a reminder that a payment is due, easy to change suppliers or move house. All round, so far after a few years with them, a good, straightforward supplier.

They are quick to put up prices like everyone else but they did not increase what they pay for electricity supplied to them

We just joined with bulbin april bt so far we had no problem they remind you when its time for the payment to be paid also you can soon log in to see how much gas elec you used or if you want top up ur energy its so simpe and easy to understand
