“Made some purchases from Mercari and Yahoo using Buyee. The website is easy to use. However their customer service is lousy sometimes as they are not able to accede to customer's requests. They should be more flexible. If only they are able to request seller to combine items when purchasing from Mercari, i don't have to pay for service fee and payment fee for each item. Their service fee and payment fee are very expensive. Buyee should lower the fees.”
“I'd say that overall, Buyee is a good Japanese proxy service, but I believe that there are a lot of cons when it comes to using it.
There have been odd instances where I was denied to bundle items through Mercari Japan because I wanted to save money on fees and shipping.
That is another thing too, I'm not a fan of their fees because overall it'll add another 1,000 yen to your order in total, though it depends on which plan you pick.
Also, their "consolidate package" and "protective packaging" options require around 1,000 each for some reason. Which feels way too pricey.
I've worked with other proxy services and they never charge for those kinds of things, which really should be a given. Considering the fees you have to pay for each item you purchase.
But by far, Buyee has a great customer service, which I can rely on most of the time.

“I'm first time using buyee. Generally customer service is responsive with email replies within 24h. Unfortunately online associates are not available on Saturdays and Sundays when it matters most. Fees are high. Each purchase costs ¥500 at the most basic (¥300 service fee + ¥200 payment fee). That makes it very costly to buy stuffs less than ¥2,500. Worst is it takes too long between receiving our orders and actually making the purchase, thus risking missing out on listings with very good offers. This should be improved. There should be associates on standby 24/7 to execute order requests promptly.”
“Been bidding items, the fixed charges per auction is too much for small items, this may be revise to be properly proportionate to the amount of the items. Sometimes the fix charges is even expansive than the item itself.”
