our problems started with a very bad delivery, my husband is disabled and the delivery driver turned up without any prior warning and dropped the cooker on the drive and went no paperwork or delivery docket it was out in the rain 3 hrs until i paid a local delivery man and his helper to bring it in, then i found there are damaged parts and they cannot source them were now in a tennis email situation and there being very disrespectful to us and making it very difficult to return, we also found out it was not a new cooker either but was bought as a new one,,, dreadful company and no customer respect at all, BE VERY VERY CAREFUL,,, BEST JUST DONT USE THEM

I bought a dryer am still waiting for the old dryer to be taken away two weeks later. Delivery was 80 euro but didn’t include removal of last appliance. The number listed to call for collection arrangement on the website is never answered. The email inbox returns a message that no one is working it right now. Posted request in Facebook too No luck

Purchased a refurbished gaming laptop the 3rd of June for 800€. It arrived a week later (which is not a problem at all) but just after one day playing I started to have problems (according to the Manufacturer the laptop is faulty). Customer support from the Manufacturer (HP) has been amazing. On the other side, buyitdirect’s support has been purely by email and with 24-48h delay for each communication. The 17th of June I got the delivery company to collect the faulty laptop. Since then, the laptop hasnt arrived yet back to Buyitdirect (that still has to confirm its faulty). We are in the 25th of June and still didnt get any refund, nor any update apart from that once the laptop arrives back to their offices, it will take extra 3 to 5 days for them to check it. Im rating 2/5 because I know that any delay in the collection/transport is due to DPD and not Buyitdirect.

Avoid, avoid, avoid. Sorry if the below is long winded. I ordered a cooker via buyitdirect.ie on 3 April. I paid EUR82 for a 2 man delivery and the WEEE fee of EUR5 to have the old freezer collected (legal obligation in Ireland). On the same day I received an email confirmation of my purchase which advised "1. Our delivery team will contact you 5 to 7 days after despatch to arrange a delivery date that suits you. 2. You’ll receive your order within 14 days of the despatch date." On 7th April I then received an email advising that the cooker had been dispatched and would arrive on 29th April - 1 week after the date confirmed to me at time of purchase. On 20th April, without any notification the delivery man (yes 1 not 2 men) turned up - over 9 days earlier than advised. The courier was very friendly and helpful however he refused to take the old cooker (which I had to disconnect) as his courier company was not licensed to collect WEEE. He also told me that this was a regular occurrence with deliveries for buyitdirect.ie where customers expect their old appliance to be collected when the new appliance is delivered. He directed me back to buyitdirect. Over the next week I attempted to phone buyitdirect on 4 different occasions using their automated system to request a callback - as my place in the q wouldn't be lost! I never received a single call back. After almost a week I eventually emailed them. The response I received was not helpful. Firstly dismissing my email and claiming I hadn't paid for the old cooker to be collected so buyitdirect had no obligation. I refuted this and pointed them to their own website which stated I was entitled to have the old appliance collected free of charge in line with WEEE regulations in Ireland. They eventually agreed but advised that "Due to the government's social distancing regulations we are not doing scrap collections at the moment." (regulations which strangely didn't stop them making deliveries though). After having an old cooker sitting outside my house for a number of weeks, on 01 May they offered to refund EUR20 as they were unable to collect the old cooker. Organising a courier to collect this WEEE waste during lockdown would cost more than EUR20 - especially since Buyitdirect charged me EUR82 to deliver it. In the meantime I ordered a freezer from an local Irish electrical outlet (Powercity) who delivered the item within 4 days of purchase (which included a weekend) and they also took away my old cooker free of charge. I would not recommend Buyitdirect.

I ordered a Leisure cooker online. Sale/order service quick but failed to mention that warranty cannot be extended beyond one year. Delivery process confusing and finally delivered on a Saturday at 8 am without warning having phoned the previous day to say it would be the following Monday between 7am and 3pm with a phone call 30 mins in advance. Obtaining free 1 year warranty was not possible on the number provided and it took 4 more phone calls and one hour forty minutes to get it - all numbers provided by company staff who could not register it. The person who did register it could not extend the warranty but gave a number to call. That number led to another three calls and another hour to finally be told to phone Leisure. The number given for Leisure put me back into the old loop so I emailed Appliances Direct only to be told that they cannot extend warranty in Ireland I hope the cooker is better than the customer service!
