“It's misleading, if not a straight-up scam.
They add hidden fees, and they don't disclose them! I attached a picture: the subtotal was different from the total, showing ZERO fees in between, claiming it was a free delivery for the store we had chosen.”
“Have to agree with a lot of reviews here over priced delivery hidden costs. Shopper was good no problem but company are a rip off.
Check the small print charge for bags, delivery charge, plus 13.75% min charge also if under 40 euro shop another supplement charge.
So in my opinion and many others avoid.
I don't understand why lidl, Dunnes, Tesco use this company has to be bad for them it's put me off shopping with lidl aldi all the way from now.
Trevor.

“One star is too much. I have been overcharged on 6 Occasions for items that I did not receive or order. I insisted on a copy of original receipt and this is how I found out. There shopper was putting items in basket charging the customer and keeping items. This has happened me again in the past couple of weeks. I cannot read photo of receipt so I can’t check so again they get away with taking peoples hard earned money.
I will be reporting this company to the relevant authorities.”
“Terrible service. Double charged my account leaving a hole in my current account meaning some house hold bills can't be payed before the issue is resolved. Buymie customer support continuously blamed my bank after appologings for inconvenience,, apparently its happening to many customers. A free delivery is no kind of compensation or use to me if I have no electricity for my fridge!! They sujested I don't use my bank card to pay,, which is a ridiculous sujection, how else am I expected to pay,, by getting new bank?? Extremely disappointed that this
happened and with their attitude of shifting blame... Free tip for Buymie: Don't appologies with a but and then place the blame elsewhere. Bye Buymie 👋👋”
“Disgraceful service joke of a company stole money from my account still not put it back no phonelines to talk to staff text only 30 mins wait time for each reply personal shopper made numerous mistakes and staff don't care charge extortionate fees also beware don't use this rip off company”
“31 items ordered, 10 substituted without my consent. Bags despite the fact that there is an instruction on my account not to. Credits only offered for "wrong" items that I provided photographs of (despite the fact that they were all listed on the receipt). 9 emails in a thread (So far) dealing with this one delivery. Been this way for MONTHS now. Oh, and as of last Sun in April, Tesco no longer partnering with them for deliveries.”
“Never again. Used the service once and am quite appalled at the total lack of transparency with all the hidden costs that are not itemised on the invoice. Very deceitful. I cannot see Buymie lasting too long in business. Avoid at all costs.”
“I have ordered several times on Buymie and not once has it been on time, wasted half my Sunday waiting around for food to be delivered. We ended up having to cancel the order and do the shopping ourselves. Very expensive service with very poor results. If you are considering ordering from here I would recommend using Deliveroo or one of the other online delivery services and save yourself the frustration of seeing your order saying it is on the way and 2 minutes later saying the shopper is starting to put together your shopping. Customer service uses the same excuse every time and says it was a technical issue and this never happens but if you read all the other reviews you will see it's not a once off.”
“I am extremely concerned and disappointed about the amount of plastic bags my shopping trough buymie is creating.
I emailed them hoping that I could make a change by raising this concern to them, but all I got was excuses when the truth is they have not a sustainable approach in place for the delivery of goods and don’t care about the pollution they are creating by not providing a sustainable alternative to shoppers using their app.
Is a disgrace this type of companies can still making huge profits and business as usual without impunity.
I assure if there was a new competitor who has a sustainable plan option as a delivery I’ll ve switching without thinking it twice.
And yes they also overcharged on the products prices and charge money in top of the delivery but are incapable of doing something to stop polluting the environment!!
And all of that extra money charge to their costumers is for themselves because they pay very badly to their delivery employees with no benefits no nothing.”
“I have complained every single time I use this service. The drivers don't wear masks, some even insist on following me into my property (I collect my groceries outside and I wear a mask). Today I was charged extra for plastic bags that I didn't order nor consent to paying for. Keep at them if you are entitled to your refund. I got refunded for the bags when I asked to be shown how I am legally obliged to pay for them. Absolute scammers!”
“Absolutely useless and poor service.
We placed an order above £50. The shopper called us on the date of delivery and told that more than 50% of the items are unavailable. I told him not to bring the items until everything is available so that I can avail the £20 discount. The delivery was rescheduled to next day. On the next day, the rider called to substitute a few items but didn’t mention that some items were still unavailable. As a result, our order fell just below £50. The rider didn’t give a receipt nor the order was updated in the app. I figured that out myself after the items were received.
I chatted with customer service, but they said I cannot get the £20 discount and that it is nobody’s fault. In summary:
1. They will manipulate your first order in every way possible to bring it below £50.
2. The prices are already above store value.
3. The delivery is not free. I think its £4-5.
4. There is no option to return.
5. Customer service is rude and poor.
Really disappointed that Asda has engaged such a poor vendor for online deliveries. Stay away!”
“Appalling. Really appalling. The shopper was fine, it's the company itself that are shady. I've just had a back and forth with a (nice and polite - it's not her fault) customer service agent where I repeatedly clarified that my problem was not that product costs can vary once the shopper is in store, but that the fees were not transparent and were not included in the original total estimate. Repeatedly, the response gave the "products can vary in price" line when that was not what I complaining about. They also said that all fees etc are included in the original total estimate, which they are not, so that is an outright lie. Avoid this company at all costs.”
“Hidden costs make this platform very frustrating to use. The platform tries to misdirect you by implying discounts are applied while adding platform and processing fees in the total. They are exploiting the fact that many people need to get deliveries due to covid and might not have a choice other than to pay the hidden fees Buymie imposes.”
“When I went to checkout, I was surprised to see, 25 euro delivery and taxes for 102 euro order. Just because I spend 1 hour looking through all products I made my order. When the order was completed, I was overcharged 1 euro on top of the 25 service fee. Support was useless. Aldi offers delivery through deliveroo.ie for 3 euro. Thank you but no thank you.”
“Your delivery driver Raymond driving a white Prius showed up late and laughed about it as a healthcare assistant I wasn't able to make my appointments with clients that needed assistance when I asked for the supervisors number his comment was it was his first day on the job and was I trying to get him sacked this shopping was meant to arrive on the 7/1/22 I wasn't notified that it wasn't going to be delivered until the 8/1/22 it was supposed to be delivered by 11am and didn't get delivered until 2:30pm with no notification that this was going to be the case very dissatisfied with the service and will never use this app again”
“buymie is a rip off, just done a little research on them and some things I found makes this company looks like some cowboy job. hidden charges, shop deleivered late, advertising products that the shops dont sell, and they pay slave wages to their workers. I rather pay tesco prices and know that the delivery driver is earning a living wage instead of supporting this company that takes advantage of people.”
“Watch out for their hidden rip off charges and useless customer service. They inflate prices and add hidden costs, any 'discount' offered is not what it appears to be as to make use of it you will also need to pay all the hidden costs. Avoid these middle men and go straight to the supermarkets offering direct delivery services”
“I am very much disappointed with their service, policy and conditions. First, I have ordered four bags of Starbucks WHOLE coffee beans to make espresso, but only received two bags of GROUND coffee beans from Starbucks. Neither I have a dripping coffee machine nor a french press. What will I do with that?
Second, even though I paid a delivery fee of 4.99 EUR, I was charged another 5.99 EUR for processing fee, which was not invoiced at the time of order.
Third, as they could not provide two bags of coffee, they have refunded me the money as buymie credits. When I made a request for a refund to my account they said it will take 3-5 working days. All in all, it is better to avoid Buymie.”
