“Excellent service booked my BA flights & assisted with seat request, I was upgraded as s BA Gold on arrival at T5 Heathrow to First Class & Free Lounge Access. Carlton booked a complex flight Itinerary Heathrow to Bangkok, Puckeridge, Hong Kong & Back to Heathrow. Great Personal Service & I'd recommend & use again - Thanks Gareth Fitton.”

“In Nov 2019, I booked flights to Paraguay (22 Aug-1 Sept), and received an email on 24th July explaining I am entitled to a full refund. The email was clear and concise in requesting me to reply within 48 hours of my decision. They explained the refund would be minus £75 admin fee. I responded to go ahead, as I had read the small print of the contract given when buying the "non-refundable" tickets that stated there would be that admin fee. There was also mention two routes, with two differing time frames, that may be taken to get the refund. I asked for clarification and was told mine would fall in the twelve week category. So, I was pleasantly surprised to find the refund on my card on Saturday 22 August....only a month since being notified....and coincidentally on the date I was supposed to travel. I understand the issue that some have regarding the admin fee, but it is in the small print of your contract when buying tickets. Personally, it's my contribution to keeping ones in employment during these challenging times. I would book with Carlton Leisure again.”

“Naturally their lines were busy at the start of the lockdown crisis but Karry the customer services agent I spoke to was polite and helpful. I got a "full refund" in 5 weeks albeit with a £75 admin fee but I am aware of many travel agents like this. Luckily I have travel insurance to cover the rest.”

“Had 5 flights booked to Japan and China from UK for Easter with JAL. Had to cancel due to covid-19. Received full refund minus the admin costs £75 per person No problem at all with that considering there was a chance I got no money back. So am pretty happy. Took about 7 weeks in total.”

“My wife and I are senior citizens and when booking a long haul Flight you are always wary which company to book on . We booked with Carlton who provided a first class service their Rep kept us informed with all details and changes for the flight .The price was extremely competitive and We would recommend Carlton Leisure to everyone flying on any long Hall flights John and Janis Finlayson ...”

“I have used carlton leisure on 4 separate occasions now, there was a misunderstanding on our last agreement, the first 3 times to Japan and Thailand were processed really well, and i have no complaints. Sometimes things go wrong but Carlton leisure have explained the situation to me , and its now resolved. they have been very helpful. Garry”

“Have been trying to contact them everyday by phone and email without any success. Like many other people who are soon to be flying there is a massive uncertainty. My thoughts are they may go under and they are trying to take as much cash as they can in the last few days.”

“Avoid, once they have your money they have no interest in helping you in any way.....they have made a lot of people very unhappy and probably a lot poorer. Nit a good company to deal with”

“After reading these reviews, I was really worried that Carlton Leisure would never refund me the amount owed. I had to cancel a trip due to health issues and did have to fight to get Carlton to honour the airline's refund policy. I was promised a refund within 5-6 weeks and after 8 weeks had passed , I started chasing things up. The agents I spoke to were very polite even though I was asked to fill in forms repeatedly and the airline kept getting the blame for the funds not being returned. I am pleased to say that my refund was honoured but it took 10 weeks or so. The 2 stars are simply for the hard work the process has been. Be persistent...it does get results!”

“I recently missed a flight which I'd booked through Carlton Leisure due to numerous delays at the airport. When I contacted them to inform them about the situation and ask if they would support with the re-booking, they told me it was impossible due to their policy on "no shows", and that I would have no choice but to re-book the tickets myself at a massive additional cost. Later, I discovered that the policy they quoted doesn't actually appear in their Terms and Conditions at all. I asked them nine times by email to ask them to confirm if that was the case, and every single time they avoided answering the question. Eventually they stopped responding at all, which is incredibly unprofessional and unhelpful. If you're considering booking your flights through Carlton Leisure, do yourself a favour and book directly with the airline instead. You'll have far more consumer rights should something go wrong, and you won't have to deal with unprofessional customer support staff quoting policies which you were never actually shown when making the booking.”

“If there is 1 thing I can recommend when your booking a holiday is DO NOT book with this company!! We booked our flights through this company and 2 days before we where due to fly we got a very difficult to decipher email from one of the flight companies saying our flight had been cancelled, we contacted Carlton Leisure who at first told us the flight wasn’t cancelled and then after several phone calls and us having to chase them the flights where cancelled and they refused to help us telling us we could apply for a refund after the flight dates. On further research we discovered the flight company had been band from flying months before we had even booked our flights so Carlton had clearly booked flights with a company that wasn’t even running! It took us 3 months and several emails chasing them to get our ‘partial’ refund that was no where near what we’d had to pay for replacement flights and just to sweeten the deal they charge a nice big admin fee for the privilege! DO NOT use this company book your flights directly or use one of the more mainstream complains or Kiwi.com is great!”
