Placed a “refundable deposit” on a car. Some 9 days after they said they had processed my refund, still no refund. Disgusting customer service, be careful!

Terrible- illegal and don't care Terrible, worse company ever, reported to trading standards for selling an unroad-worthy car, twice. Buy from auction, advertise straight away, then they do an untrustworthy service once sold, problem after problem, 4 weeks later 'ready' to collect not cleaned, gardex sold but not done and had a nail in tyre so still unroadworthy. No apology. Awful service. Very disappointing, Ford kuga are lovely cars but I will NEVER buy from here!!!!

#carshop ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️AVOID CAR SHOP‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️NO RESPECT FOR CUSTOMERS‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ This company is so unreliable and their staff have no training in customer service, no common sense but they do have a lot of lies and pathetic excuses when it comes to fix a minor problem for a car that is still in the extended warranty we paid for. Promised us this will be fixed, of course they replaced a part that was not even genuine, as they said. The Cardiff manager is the biggest liar I’ve ever met. Made us come to their shop several times, when we got there, either the appointment could not be found in the system or the part hasn’t arrived, even though we checked the day prior and they told us everything was ready. Promised a courtesy car, when we got there, another excuse they don’t have it. We actually took the car to another service and it was fixed in 3 hours and for a few hundreds cheaper than they quoted. We have also called their customer service office and promised 3 weeks ago that someone will be in touch with us in few hours. We sent a written complaint and no answer. The Car Shop Cardiff manager lies constantly and has no empathy for customers. Promised that even the warranty expired, because they were postponing to fix the car on and on, he will organise the repair to be included in the warranty, as he has done it many other times... We actually recorded all the meetings we had and phone conversations and we will take this further to a solicitor. ‼️‼️‼️‼️AVOID CAR SHOP‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

At the start the customer service is spot on but after a your car shows a problem, it’s a nightmare getting in touch with them, the staffs favourite word is,WILL CALL YOU BACK but no body’s does, you have to call back again and again to get some assistance, it is time consuming and energy draining getting the service you have paid for. Be warned!

Wish I had seen these reviews before I went to them to buy. After the stop/start kept flashing system fault. Looked in hand book and on Google said I had to disconnect the battery. If this was done I would need the radio code. After 3 phone calls they don't give you one. They said go to Halford see if they can help, which they did and battery is OK. They said it had to go to nissan went there and they would do a diagnostic with a charge to me. You don't expect to pay out for a car when you have a car only 2 weeks. They want their garage to sort out the problem, but I leave an hour away from Nottingham and I only drive local cos of my age so l need someone to take me. I wanted to take the car back if I have to travel there and have my old car back but that doesn't seem to be an option. I have seen on here that there garage isn't very good either, I can't keep going to Nottingham to let them take of problems. It looks like solicitors job. Be careful once they got your they are not interested on anything else.

My son took his car that he got from car shop for its mot .we both thought it would pass .but no it failed on a few things to say it's a newish car. I'm not impressed with the fact I couldn't watch them do the mot. The car was said to have a fuel leak but turns out it was the filter there is rust on the offside spring and the driving arm CV boot was cracked which was letting dirt in. The price they were going to charge was ridiculous for what wanted doing as we got a price from another garage which said it's nowhere near that much to rectify the problems.

If there was a minus 5 stars, then I would rate the Carshop Manchester and the group in general this. The whole experience was soured by their lack of after sales support which in truth was none existent. Nobody in the management team who sell you the cars answer or return your calls you are left to deal with a call centre in a different city, who just give you the corporate line via emails. I can honestly say it was the worst car buying experience we have had in all the years we have purchased new and nearly new cars. I would never again use them or any of the Sytner Group outlets if this is how they deal with customers once they have taken your money. The car we bought was not a cheap or old car just over 12 months old and cost just over 20K.

Some of the cars are ex hire cars they don’t like to hire them after they’ve been in a accident so don’t involve the insurance companies get them fixed as cheaply as possible often using used parts from scrapped cars. Check out the previous owner. I discovered when my windscreen washer failed only to find the pump had yellow hand written writing the part was years older than the car.

Bought a car from there 4 years ago and looking to upgrade. Interested in a 68 plate VW Tiguan. The car had 4 perished tyres and the original cambelt. Car shop refused to replace these as part of the sale. If a perished tyre or cambelt goes on a smart motorway is doesn't bear thinking about!

I bought a car from the Norwich branch. Within a couple of months issue with noise coming from clutch when pedal pushed down. Had car looked at under the warranty by them only to be told there was nothing wrong with it. Took it to a Vauxhall dealers and they changed the pedal rack due to it being faulty at as cost of over £1000. Noise from clutch pedal rectified. 9 months later engine piston broke with only 25000 miles on the clock. This cost £4500 to replace. One year later issue with clutch sticking to floor. Eventually fixed at Vauxhall at s cost of £1000+ Shortly after infotainment screen went blank. Repaired at Vauxhall for £1000+ All in all paid over £7500 in repairs within 3 and a bit years of owning the car. Never again will I buy from Carshop or a Vauxhsll Astra 66 plate 1.4t.

Buying the car was fine from Car shop Cardiff helpful friendly staff Car was presented well, clean and apparently no faults ,however 2 months down the line the car has developed a gearbox problem with a months warranty still remaining i thought that would be put right as when we bought the car we were told any problems would be quickly rectified .Well multiple phone calls later and plenty of promises and 1 customer service lady laughing as she put the phone down the car is still parked on my drive useless , so I'm still using taxis to and from work at £24 a day my Guess is the Car shop are fobbing me off until the 3 month useless warranty they sell with the car for your piece of mind runs out January 8th 2023 ,so take a wide berth away from Car Shop, we only purchased a 2018 ford Ecosport at £12500 is that the reason they treat us as second rate buyers . Buyers beware Car shop tell lies once they have your money they don't care

Bought a 2017 Mazda 6 from Manchester with a faulty differential. Took car in to be fixed at Warrington was told it was 4 loose wheel nuts?!?! Absolute rubbish! Had the car in a proper garage 10 days prior to carshoo looking at it and was told it was the differential. 3 weeks later back in the carshop Warrington on a Saturday had to ring customer services at half 5 for an update. Had to ring them back again Sunday after being promised I would gear from someone?? Diagnosis - Car has a faulty differential, who would have guessed? Had to take spare key to pick my car up as they had locked mine in a safe box and gone home for the weekend. Told car is safe to drive until they book it in at a specialist and they have no courtesy cars available. Still haven't had anyone ring me to fix my car, phone branches you get put through to customer services who don't do anything useful.

The sales staff were great. It is the company sales model I have issues with. I was sold a guarantee that didn't start for 3 months: useless. Free MOTs I can't use because of my location to the Car Shop. If I eventally get back 75% of the rip- off extra cover products I purchased, I will remove this review. I DON'T IMAGINE AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME I WILL. See future updates.
