The car I was planning to purchase was filthy, I was planning to trade-in and was offered £3500 less than I eventually sold it for (Evans Halshaw). I was kept waiting around despite making an appointment.

As per other reviews carshop cannot do enough for you whilst buying car however aftercare is awful . I would not recommend any of the aftercare plans on offer either with which your offered load of rubbish . On one of my issues I had to contact Ceo directly .

Sale was great, couldn’t have asked for better. However what I could ask better was the after sale care. It was shocking. My car was supposed to be cleaned as i paid for advantage. On the day of collecting the car (I was booked in and they were expecting me) took nearly 4 hours to get my car and sign it over. Only to be told 4 hours later my car is covered in polish. But I can wait an hour for it to be cleaned or come back at a later date. I decided to go back. As I had spent long enough there already. I was also booked in to have a “mop and polish” as agreed when I brought the car for the bird poo stains that had eaten the lacquer and to have my wheels straightened as these were “bent” I turned up on the day to have this work done. I got a hire car for this period. 1 week later I got my car back. Only to have had my wheels painted a different finish to what was originally on the car. The clean was atrocious especially when it’s claimed to be a “professional clean” and the “mop and polish” hadn’t been done. I told them about my wheels and I was told “ no they were like that when you brought the car” effectively calling me a liar. Only to prove that on the sales advert it specified the spec of the wheels. And also they used £20 worth of fuel on this occasion but agreed to put £20 back in. So once again my car was booked in for the same problems to be fixed once again. This time my car was with them 2 weeks. I had a hire car and this was filthy. Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Finally got my car back after me having to chase them. Got told to go on a Sunday. Went down and no one from servicing was in…. I looked at my car and wow, that’s the only words I have for this. The had smashed/chipped my screen, scratched the paint work “trying” to remove the bird stains. And the car had even more polish added to it. Either way my car wasn’t road worthy due to the windscreen. At first they said they didn’t do it. But I could prove otherwise so they replaced the screen. On collection unfortunately I come down with covid so they dropped the car to my house. The car had done 49 miles and I live 4.3 miles from carshop. So 45 miles done in my car and the car arrived back with the same amount of fuel in after them putting £20 in, so they effectively used £40 of fuel and only put back in £20. I’m expected to return their car back on the same fuel so why is my car any different. The car is still booked in to have the bonnet sprayed and the door and roof to be sprayed too. I brought the car 4months ago and I’ve been able to drive this for about 1 and half months as it’s been back so many time to car shop. The communication from them is awful. You have to push for answers. They don’t contact you they just leave you waiting. Also they are refusing to replace the fuel they used. Mark the head of business doesn’t respond to his emails after sending multiple emails.

I really wish I’d read these reviews before using this dreadful outfit. As I write this I’m currently waiting to speak to a representative for the third time in 4 days. The car I purchased for £17,500 3 weeks ago has developed a fault and not once has anybody called me back to help rectify this. I was suspicious from the outset when I got home from picking the car up that the radiator was below the minimum line. If you’re reading this then you’re lucky enough now to know that you SHOULD NOT go anywhere near them under any circumstances. You have been warned.

Having bought our first car from Carshop 5 years ago we decided to revisit them to look for a new car. Having seen a car we were interested in online, we arranged to view it on Saturday. Car shop required a £100 delivery fee as it was at another branch, plus £99 holding fee! Unfortunately, when we arrived the car was not there. So, we looked around at some other vehicles. Having found one that we liked we went through the whole process of checks, test driving etc. When it came to their offer on our car as part exchange we were shocked and insulted by their ridiculous valuation and offer for our vehicle. It was a stunning £3,500 under the cheapest comparable vehicle being offered anywhere else online. We are talking about a fully serviced, immaculate vehicle with average mileage for the year! We had already been offered £2000 more for it that morning without any part exchange from a garage close by! That completely put us off of doing business with the Carshop ever again. We canceled any further business with them ie. the car that was eventually going to be delivered for viewing on Monday and requested our £199 refund. I'm now currently on hold for the 5th time trying to contact carshop (30+ minutes each time). I have sent several emails, but to date, I have received neither confirmation nor reply. During the process of writing this complaint, I have just managed to get through to Carshop. A representative named Andy is presumably now chasing up my inquiry, but he did not have the authority to simply refund our payment. The last time we used Carshop 5 years ago I wrote a very positive review. I'm afraid it will not be so positive this time. Really good when they are selling you a car, but awful and disinterested when you go back to them with a minor issue. They really don't want to know once they have your money!!

Horrible experience, do not buy from this company! Throughout the buying process they are so helpful. The minute you drive away you are on your own. I was assured that each car has "a 100 point check" and each car comes with a free 3 month warranty. After having my car a week, I noticed the clutch pedal wasn't always springing back up. I phoned to get it booked in. I was notified that the store I bought the car from had just closed down and I had to drive a 1 hour journey (both ways) to the next Car Shop. I had to wait 4 weeks for the appointment. I had to leave it there all day only to be told "yep, it's your clutch. We need to replace it. The next available appointment we have is in 4 weeks". Therefore, I had to wait basically 2 months to get it fixed. You can't take it to a local garage, it has to be theirs. When I took it to be fixed (another 2 hour journey) it was ELEVEN days before I got it back. As I am an essential car user as part of my job this was very inconvenient for me and no courtesy car was offered. It is a 5 year old car which was supposed to be thoroughly checked before I bought it! A clutch shouldn't go on such a young car! When I went to pick the car up they had lost my keys. At this point I could have laughed if I wasn't so angry. When they did eventually find them after an hour of frantically searching, I wasn't given any paperwork to say the work had been completed. The man said they would email it to me. They didn't. After half an hour on the phone the next day (they always put you on hold) someone said they would make sure it was emailed to me. It wasn't. Another 30 minutes on hold another day and someone else took charge and actually did send me the paperwork. Two weeks later the engine light has come on. Phoned them up. 30 minutes later someone answers and asks for my mileage. So, apparently I have gone 700 miles beyond what is covered under the free warranty (it's 3 months or 3000 miles, whichever comes first; though they don't highlight that when selling you the car). So I wasn't covered anymore. To say I spent so much time traveling over to their garage, had my car taken off me for 11 days with no courtesy car (for a 14 hour job), was sold a car with quite major faults after being assured it had had a '100 point check', this is appalling service. Why are they so busy? Because the cars they sell aren't up to scratch and they have hundreds of dissatisfied customers. Do not do business with them.

Purchased a lovely mini from Carshop Bristol and we are happy. However, upon returning home we noticed that the floor mats and boot floor shelf was missing. It clearly stated in the advert these were there. Trying to get hold of them is now like trying to get blood out of a stone. 45 phone calls and several emails in the past two weeks and have got nowhere. Shocking service and is going against trading standards, who now we are contacting.

Everything went wrong - Car Shop Nottingham - AVOID - This place is an absolute joke This place is an absolute joke, do not even think about buying a car from here, I wanted to give them 20k but they could not give me a car that was clean. When we looked at the car initially it was filthy dirty and had a terrible smell, we gave them a week to clean and valet the car but it was just as bad when we returned to collect. They then managed to put a hole in the passenger seat, it was a complete joke, and no one really cares !!!! The staff do not do what they say they will do, ie, ring you back, there seems to be no communication between staff - ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY..................BE WARNED !!!!!!!!!!

Sheffield shop is excellent in all fields. Paul Richardson was my initial point of contact and is very knowledgeable. AJ dealt with the paperwork and knew the systems like the back of his hand. Very pleased with my A5. I was helped with transfer of my personal plates. All staff are friendly and helpful. No time wasted in the shop or on the phone. Faultless transaction

Don't normally leave poor reviews but I feel the need to to this due to the lack of service and advice given when I bought the vehicle. First of all I bought my car with the understanding that the vehicle was fully serviced upon collection and I believed the salesman when he told me it was all done before I collected. The vehicle has now developed an engine management fault which when I took it to an authorised Nissan retailer they have said it needs a Re-gen of the DPF and needs a Fuel filer and air filter to fix the fault. When I said it shouldn't need the filters as its just been serviced, The Nissan dealer then told me that the parts are old and have never been changed. When I spoke to the in-experienced member of staff at the car shop she basically told me that I would have to foot the bill for the diagnosis to fault find the issue which baring in mind I purchased an extended warranty with the Car shop and anyone in the same situation would get it booked in to find out what the issue was. Anyway the in-experienced member of staff then told me that I would need to pay for the service that they should have done in the first place. I've been waiting three days for a call back from a manager and these clearly have no intention to call me. It feels like once they have your money they are not bothered what happens afterwards. So I've paid £120.00 diagnosis plus now I need to get the vehicle serviced again which is a further cost to myself when it should have been done in the first place. Poor

one of the worst experiences of my life. many of the cars are bought from action, some are damaged and the botched up and put back on the forecourt which happened to me. zero after sales, no one interested in solving problems, but to to be fair, they have tried to correct the paint work they bodged but they are now on their 3rd attempt to fix and now refusing to do it. they also mis sell you service, we bought the MOT plus deal which is essentially MOT for life but that quickly turns into a free MOT and a service at £200+. Avoid the carshop manchester / ashton at all costs...

Absolutely disgusting service from both Bristol and Swindon branch. I am very surprised that there are not any responses from these terrible reviews written about bad service at the car shop and have to ask the question " does the CEO of this business not care about the reputation that his company is getting"?

I think anyone giving them good reviews probably have some kind of connections with them. Anyway, full of cowboys. Any advice on what ground you can return a car back after just two weeks purchase? Very terrible company. None of them could pick my call since I purchased the car but it was easy to contact them before I purchased the car. Somehow saved my phone number with a dodgy name
