“I provided all the information I was required through budget but when I arrived in Mexico I was not allowed to use the car because I didn't have Mexican identification which was never told to me. I had to pay for transportation in Mexico in addition to the rental fee. They did not work with me at all. I was routed to Cartrawler who is refusing to refund me even though I never used the vehicle. They have told me to reach out to Budget to seek compensation when they are who Budget referred me to. Completely taking advantage of their power. Disgusting service and customer service”

“The worst service ever. I recently rented a car through CarTrawler (reaching them from Emirates Airlines website) in Switzerland. I made full payment of the rental to CarTrawler. Upon taking the car from Budget in Zurich, I added an insurance component that I paid instantly. Yet, I was later charged more than double the initial quote by Budget and after several weeks of investigations, CarTrawler confirmed that they can do nothing about it.”

“Terrible experience. Said they would refund, but still no refund after 10 business days. Last time I contacted them a bot answered and said I would get a response within 20 business days!! After contacting them on WhatsApp the amount that will be refunded is suddenly half of the original amount. Such a terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this scam company!”

“Total scam. Never book here. It cost me 500 euro extra because of a flight delay which I had announced before. When I tried to pick up the car later on they told me the contract was cancelled because I did not pick up the car in time. After calling the office they can’t do anything for you and you have to sign a new contract otherwise you can’t get a car. Avoid this company, Be warned!”

“This company is a fraud, booked car through Platinum Amex and intermediary Cartrawler did not transfer the full paid rental amount to Europcar and Europcar made me pay the difference which Cartrawler stole from the contract. Avoid by all means”

“First and last booking with these cowboys and every normal person should stay away from them. We booked a car rental for our family holiday in Barbados and three days after confirming everything I received an email cancellation saying their car rental provider in Barbados has no cars available. :-) To top it up I need to wait 23 days for my money because apparently their staff works from home?!?!? Avoid at all cost.”

“This company is liar and fraud they will took the money never showing in the airport or any where to pick up and not refund money, I believe This Emirates airlines fault, why they listed in their website, this kind of fraud company.”

“Don't ever rental a car from this company. 1h30 to be admitted in the rental office, then hired insurance online, that they said I would have to purchase other again if wanted I could ask for a refund for the online one, but not sure it worked...very very shady deal! Accepting my 2-year-old baby risking losing money, the card payment system did not work. The result, no car, no rental, lost money and did not give me the refund! Never will I ever rent a car from this service.”

“Booked and paid upfront an airport transfer , after 12 hrs of travel no one showed up to pick me up. No answer on the phone numbers given in case of issues … ended up waiting 1,5 hrs and eventually having to take a taxi at double the price I paid already to CarTrawler… trying to reach them is a complete nightmare.. after 25 days and sending all proof of me calling the numbers given multiple times, still no reaction. I really think they hope clients just give up after a while and are not willing to pay any refunds.. worst service ever”

“Highly disappointed that anyone would provide a service from a known scam company. Booked a car through CarTrawler from NU car rental Miami. Worst experience ever. Our flight was slightly delayed and when we got to Miami there was no shuttle to the rental agency. No problem, we can take a taxi but then we were informed the office was closed. We canceled our rental and asked for a refund which was denied because we failed to pick up our car. We have NEVER had this issue dealing with a reputable company. After reading reviews NU car rentals will use any excuse to take your money for no services rendered. Shame on you CarTrawler for not looking into the companies you book through and shame on us for trusting you.”

“Worst possible customer service you can imagine. They hide behind emails and there is no way to get in touch with them otherwise. I received my car 4 days late and they have still not reimbursed me for the extra amount charged despite following up with them for over 3 months”

“Given my flight number and that it arrived 3 hours after the pick up time, they cancelled my rental and did not refund the $300 I spent. Do not recommend”

“Absolutely terrible company. Please do not book anything with them. Their refund policy is atrocious, see for yourself. Do not be fooled if they offer $10 less than Priceline/Expedia/Etc. Save yourself a lot of hassle and headache that comes with dealing with cartrawler. Properly canceled reservations take over a month to give you a refund, why? I was refused a car for pick up because I had a temporary ID from a state that I recently moved to. Cartrawler would not issue a refund even though their terms say that a valid temporary ID is acceptable and they marked me as a "no-show" even though I was physically at the car rental place and denied a vehicle.”

“Criminal enterprise. They steal all refund from the car hire companies if you need to return the car earlier than booking says. I got confirmed that the refund was paid out to them but they reguse and say it is in their T&C. This info is not included in the booking or on their sites - only found under their FAQ ... if you look well as it is well hidden. Always book directly with the rental company, avoid scammers like Cartrawler!”

“Do not buy from Cartrawler, the worst experience I’ve ever came across. Scam and full of lies. You hire a car from them but they give you wrong instructions. I’ve ended up losing my many and I didn’t receive the car I hired from them. It’s been 2 months and I can not even get my money. Total scam please stay away!”
