I will never book again, coming to the rental company at Malaga, the Creditcard was not sufficient because my first name was missing on the card. Booking was cancelled no refund. Because it was impossible to make an deposit. The booking was taken from the same card 2 weeks before. I call this steeling from your customers.

If I could, I would give it 0 stars. What can you expect from a company that hides behind their policies to scam their users? We showed up with a credit card in PHYSICAL, with a sum of 3000 euros (as it appears in their mandatory documents) and they did not want to rent the car because it could not be done with a prepaid credit card, which does not appear in any of their policies. Now they have 800 euros out of our pocket. DON'T GET SCAMMED, AND DON'T USE THIS SITE.

I had a reservation for a rental in January at 2pm, when I arrived at 2pm the company was closed. Cartrawler is declining the refund and I’m out of money for a service I didn’t receive. There should be a way that we can report this company and have them shut down. When I find a small claims court, I’m definitely suing them.

SCAM!!! DO NOT USE!!! Book directly with the car rental company after you search. Do not use car trawler under any circumstances. I booked a car at the airport and when I arrived it was closed. Car trawler told me “it’s not our problem if they close before you land”. They won’t even offer compensation of a taxi journey to cover my route to the hotel for one day. Disgusting customer service and have taken legal action. Reading other reviews it’s obvious this company won’t last much longer based on how corrupt they are. SCUM!

absolutely the worst rental car broker and app, with hidden fees and no ability to change reservations unless you pay additional service fees. I have been renting cars for business travel for 30yrs, and this is the worst experinece ever.

You receive your rate after changing to GBP. You then go to book the car and it is at the point when you start putting your home address in and the rate changes!! Remembering that you have asked for the rate in GBP.... The format and rate of the car is automatically set to an address input of Ireland. Once you change and input your home address and in my case the UK, this is when the rate dramatically increases by nearly £300 and all because of the taxes!!! Their website needs sorting out and when you adjust from Euro to GBP at this point you should be able to add that you are from the UK as opposed to seeing a cheaper rate as if your residency is Ireland.

Lost money and nerve!!! Booked a taxi transfer from hotel Augusti to Barcelona Airport on 30 January 2023 and paid for the ride in advance. But the cab never came to pick us up!!! We waited for 20 minites while calling the CARTAWLER “assistance desk”. The desk was not able to contact a driver too, so we had to catch another cab on the street and to pay extra in addition to the full price of CARTAWLER transfer service which was never delivered to us. After that I forwarded a claim to CARTAWLER with a view to get my money back. They replied that the consideration process takes 20 working days, however they never contacted me again. IT’S A SCAM!!!

They charged my visa debit for entire amount online at KLM website. When I showed up to get the car, they refused to use the same debit car for a deposit and refused to give the car. Also refused a refund as they said it was in their terms. Watch out when using a debit card with these scammers. Date of experience: March 27, 2023

Do not and I say do not even give a thought about trying to get a car from this company. You would set up yourself for the worst miserable experience in your life time for renting a car and that is including third world countries rental experiences !

Returned my car a week early. No substantiation whatsoever, why they are not refunding my money. I got a receipt from the rental company a lot lower than what I paid. There is computer that does the talking If you request a call no reaction whatsoever. I have been renting cars ove 40 years all over the world and never had such bad service.

Total scam. Arriving from an international flight and having to collect my luggage as well as pass customs, they only waited 45 minutes, even though their terms say they wait at no charge for one hour, and them left me to have to nook another car. Needless to say I was not reimbursed and customer service is totally useless

I agreed to the unorthodox policies on the CarTrawler website, but when I arrived at the rental car counter I was given different policies. Total Scam! I refused the car and CarTrawler still tried to charge me. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and that was the first time they reached out to me and complained that they wanted me to cancel the dispute. What nerve!

I reserved a car view EasyJet which contracts out to cartrawler. The reservation was completely paid for a month ahead. Arrived at the airport, no car, they decided to rent out that same car to someone else. That was Sixt in Brindisi. Sixt was willing to refund, but Cartrawler blocked the refund procedure. They operate a scam, and we are the luckless consumers stuck at an airport with no car. Avoid at all costs.

Booked a car through EasyJet Car, because my flight was late and the Car Rental Desk was closed, they canceled my reservation for "No Show" and keep all prepaid money without offering any alternative or penalty for late Pick Up. This despite I correctly communicated the flight number in the reservation. Skip this company and book directly with the car rental company, you will be more protected in these situations. Costumer service practically useless, they cannot move or rebook reservation and all they do is sending premade email telling how sorry they are.

Avoid this company if you don’t want to loose your money. When they agree to give a refund when the service is not provided, they ended up by not doing it using ridiculous excuses. Don’t get scam by this company, don’t book online with them.

Total scam! Worst website ever. 1. First the terms are not clear, you buy a full insurance and then end up at the actual car rental company putting up the excess or paying another insurance. The prices on the website were shown in local currency and then switched to euros for the excess amount. 2. The reservation cannot be changed at the car rental company. I wanted to change the main driver and add a me as a secondary driver but no, you have to cancel the whole reservation and loose every thing if you want to change. And yah, of course you get a higher price. So the solution is to keep what you have. 3. The full insurance is a scam. You pay one and at the car rental company you have to pay another to get rid of the excess(or provide a credit card). What is the point of doing this on this website if you have to do it again at the car rental company ?... 4. It is not clear what is covered what is not. They say "The car rental company may ask you for another insurance but you already have one..."

On May 20th, we made a reservation (PT802257950) through Easycar.com website (powered by CarTrawler) for a 7-seater car for the period 8-12 June 2022, in Porto/Portugal. On June 6th, we received a reminder of our booking with all the information about our car (that included 7 seats). When we arrived at the partner company to collect the car on the date and time scheduled, we were surprised with a 5-seater car, which did not meet our needs. At the time, the partner company’s employee explained that the company had informed EasyCar/CarTrawler that they did NOT have a 7-seater available. While we were, we made contact by telephone with EasyCar, who advised us to rent a car with the same features from the previous one from another company, so that we would be reimbursed, since the error was EasyCar/CarTrawler's responsibility. The orientation given by telephone was confirmed by the e-mail reproduced below, which was sent by EasyCar/CarTrawler at the same moment (Case number 01919609): “We are so sorry for the inconvenient caused by the no car availabilty. As discussed on the phone, you can rent car within the same category of car locally in the airport, and then you can send us a copy of the final invoice to this email in order to make the procedures of refund. I regret to hear that you experienced problems during the rental. I have escalated your query to our Customer Care department who will be in contact with you. I can assure you that they will make every effort to resolve this matter for you. We will aim to resolve your complaint within 20 working days from when it is created, but it can depend upon the type of problem and who the car rental supplier was.” Since the occurrence (almost THREE MONTHS later), we have continued to request the promised refund, which has NOT happened yet. Repeated contacts have been tried (by phone and e-mail), and EasyCar's answer is always the same: we have to wait. My concern is: how long do we have to wait to receive reimbursement for an expense caused by a mistake made by the company itself? p.s. In fact, on easycar.com the TrustPilot ratings shown on the home page are from CarTrawler and not EasyCar, which is MUCH lower. This practice by itself is bad faith.
