They are scammers be careful I booked transportation the driver arrived early and want me to pay him cash the double I show him my email confirmation but he ignored me and runway I already paid on line

Cartrawler work under Easyjet cars brand. I booked a car with them to collect in Sardinia- My flight was delayed, I contacted customer service who told me to contact Goldcar who were supplying the car to advise of delay, but Goldcars offices were closed with no out of hours number. I contacted CarTrawler / EasyJet cars to say I couldn’t get hold of Goldcar and they cancelled my booking and are refusing any refund despite me contacting them & Goldcar before my collection time - they have said it’s not their responsibility if contact with the suppler isn’t possible! - I am so fed with having to deal with total crooks like this!

Would rather give 0 rating. First,the online modify booking doesn't work. Second, the phone service is bad, they hung up on me once and never went through once. Then when you do get customer service on the phone they cannot do anything you have to cancel. Cancelling clearly makes the payment you made lost because of cancellation policy. All I needed to do was move my time up an hour and no one could help. The only suggestion I got was to cancel and book again. This is a scam because per their policy you cannot cancel within 24 hours so them saying you have to cancel to get the booking changed is ridiculous!

Reserved a car (I thought through THRIFTY directly.) Car Trawler coordinates the rental. Terrible experience! Went to pick up my car and the counter was CLOSED. Nobody around! I had the EZ rental where I gave them my drivers license so I could bypass the counter. No car Nobody there! They closed at 10:00pm. No drop box for the keys. No nothing! And now they won’t refund my money because I was a no-show. Haha. They were the no show. Stranded my wife and I at the airport. Had to rent a car from another agency that was open after 10pm. What a bunch of losers. Don’t use them.

If you are reading this reviews, don't rent a. Vehicle from SIXT, Carcrawler. SCAM. You won't get a car and you won't get your money. If for aby reasons you get a car and a previous scratch from a previous user is going to be on you, especially if you didn't insure the vehicle fully. Just the coverage would be from a $1000 and up. If you are reading this, this is a sign not to rent a vehicle from these companies.

simply scam. You give your CC and they take money. You go to the rental station and there is no car and they don't see the reservation. You call their people, they fake calling the place. They say the correct phone number, but that phone does not ring in front of you and they blame the car rental company that their system is not working. If you want refund, they ask all your personal details via email including your passport and driving license. IT IS SCAM. NOTLEGIT I don't care about the money paid, I will take it back from the bank anyway with fraud but it ruins your vacation.

Total SCAM, do not use them! I prepaid for a fully insured car, when i got there the rental company told me they didnt get any money from the Cartrawler and that because of this i need to leave a deposit. However this company (Europcar) takes only credit card, so no cash or debit card deposit. They issued me a confirmation that they didnt issue me a car and that i need to get the refund from Cartrawler. I contacted them and they told me oops, too bad we keep all of your money. So i got 0 refund and Europcar didnt get anything. Dont use them, you will get SCAMMED!

I booked a car through carngo/cartrawler for an afterhours pickup when my plane landed. When I got there the office was closed and security turned me away. When I went back the next day the clerk at rentafacil told me that they don't book through third parties and there was no car reserved for me. Now cartrawler and rentafacil have me listed as a noshow and I can't get a refund. They stole $300 from me Feb 3 2024 CO844553460

A total SCAM !! FRAUD company!! So we had two bookings and we were getting delayed for the pickup. I tried contacting them for two days straight to provide the information on the contact information given. Nobody ever picked that call. Then we went to pick up the car and was told by the car provider that carTrawler has not provided any money to the car provider (Budget in our case).We were denied any car and was asked to contact carTrawler because it was their fault. The irony was that neither us nor bugdet knew how to reach out to them. I have evidences that I had tried for two days to call them and never picked up. I had to spend 4 hours at the airport with my family just to figure out how to get some help but failed. After writing to them over mail , my complain ticket constantly gets closed with no resolution. They just reply saying they cannot do anything in this regards but providing any justifications of their response. Its a fraudulent company who keeps customer's money and neither provide the car or the service. NEVER NEVER NEVER book from here!

Fraud by CarTrawler Booking Reference Number: GR308296000 Confirmation no. 45780700NO0we tried to call the car company ‘budget‘ through the only contact number given to us in mail for two days since we were not able to pick up the car on time due to some reasons. There were nobody who picked up the call. When we arrived at the budget counter to pick up the car and they replied that they don’t have the car available and cannot provide us . There was only one number given to us and even the third party website ‘Volotea’ was not responsive . We have even checked-in for the car in advance and they provide the same contact number . At the counter, the representative says that they don’t pick up the contact number . There is no official communication channel to contact them. Now we are two families with two kids standing on the road with no car and no contact who can help. Later Budget confirmed money is with Volotea/CarTrawler not with them.

Booked a 9 seater in Oct 23, got email confirmation it is a 9 seater. Saw the website the franchise had only 8 seater. Called and emailed but either not answered or bounced back. So I texted Cartrawler via Whatsapp. They wrote back and confirmed they have checked with Green Motion Manchester they did have 9 seater and insisted "we always get some options from the car suppliers which are not available on their website as per our cooperation". In this case, you would reasonably to trust them with such a written confirmation. When I turned up, Green Motion Manchester airport branch only had 8 seater. I myself drive a 8 seater, the reason I was hiring because we were 9 and kids all dressed up for halloween festival in Whitby. Kids were crying and very disappointed. Obviously I made a complaint, they refunded me the money and pretend nothing happened. I asked for compensation base on the fact that the customer service DID black and white confirmed the availability and i drove 20 miles to pick up the vehicle. When they promised to follow up, they closed the case and wait for me to go back chasing after 20 working days, 4 times. I gave them every chance to make good but yesterday they finally told me they don't care anymore. Reported to BVRLA, this is another joke. "Rental vehicle categoriers are not always based on seats and therefore if you were offered an alternative nothing has been breached". How can 9 people legally travel in a 8 seater? I believe the above ratinoale is suffice to justify my claim they are shameless and useless. They would rather risking an angry customer writing on Trustpilot than meeting customer's reasonable demand.

Aweful service and took my money and they to make it seem it’s your fault when the other car rental service wouldn’t rent me a car because of a credit check I wasn’t aware of.

If I could give 0 stars I would.. this company is a joke and they will take your money and act like it’s something on your end .. it’s sad and sickening to the people to have their money taken away because of issues out of our control.. DONT DO business with this company..

Never Use Car Trawler. Rip off. They partner with EasyJet and provide the car hire part. Well that's the idea. Take your money and no car. The worst customer care I have ever experienced. Do NOT hire a care with EasyJet or Car Trawler We could not land due to high winds so circled the airport eventually transferring to Gran Carnaria. By the time we landed it was 6.30pm and the car hire company, TurisPrime, had shut and gone home. No A/P. We had filled in the fast track booking so they had all our details and our money. Eventually arriving back at Lanzarote at 9.30pm, there was no one. All the other companies were there but not the EasyJet team. Packed up and gone home. Called EasyJet and they said that becaue I had not called them to tell them of the delay, it was my fault. I have spent the last week trying to explain to Mohamed, Adriana and Miriam, that phones dont work in a plane, but no, they cant seem to grasp that. They even told me I had to raise separate complaints to pre booking and post booking. What a farce. EasyJet partner with Car Trawler. Just avoid them and dont expect EasyJet to help.

DEFINITELY THERE ARE COMPANIES THAT ARE DEDICATED TO LOOKING FOR A MINIMUM DETAIL SO THEY CAN STEAL YOUR BEACH, AND carTrawler IS ONE OF THEM. I CAN'T BELIEVE I BOOKED WITH THEM FOR MY TRIP TO MEXICO, AFTER BOOKING I REALIZE THAT THEY ASK FOR $7000 DOLLARS DEPOSIT WHEN RENTING THE CAR AT THE COUNTER, I CHECK WITH THEM AND MAKE THEM EXPLAIN TO ME AND TELL THEM WHAT OTHER OPTION THEY HAVE, AND FROM PAYING $198 IN MY RESERVATION THEY OFFERED ME TO PAY $598 + AND PAY AT THE COUNTER A DEPOSIT OF $750 WHICH I THOUGHT WAS SUPER EXPENSIVE BUT WAS MY ONLY OPTION. AS THE DATE WAS APPROACHING I HAD NO OTHER OPTION BUT TO PAY THE DIFFERENCE. I ARRIVED AT THE CANCUN AIRPORT TO PICK UP MY RENTAL CAR AND WHEN I PRESENTED ALL MY DOCUMENTS WITH MY NAME ON THEM AND THEY WERE GOING TO MAKE THE DEPOSIT OF $750 THE POINT OF SALE BLOCKED MY CARD, SO I HAD TO USE MY FRIEND'S CARD AND THEY MADE ME PAY THE FULL RATE AGAIN WITH A DIFFERENT CARD AT THE AIRPORT AT THE RENTAL CAR OFFICE, THEY TELL ME THAT carTrawler WILL REFUND THE FULL FEE PAID, I ASK FOR REFUND AND THEY ONLY REFUND ME $54, I CALLED TO CLAIM AND GET MY MONEY BACK AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WILL NOT REFUND ME ANYTHING. IN THE END EVERYTHING CAME OUT TO ME AT $1398 SINCE AT THE AIRPORT THEY MADE ME PAY A LITTLE MORE SINCE I HAD TO UPDATE MY RESERVATION. THEY ARE DEFINITELY SCAMMERS, I RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT USE BROKER INTERMEDIARIES BECAUSE THEY DO NOT GIVE YOU A SOLUTION AND THEY KEEP YOUR MONEY. I STILL WAITING FOR MY $598 THAT THEY STOLE FROM ME. SCAMMERS SCAMMERS SCAMMERS SCAMMERS THEY DON'T EVEN DESERVE TO HAVE A STAR, THEY ARE OPPORTUNISTS.

Due to unforeseen circumstances (their fault also, but that’s another story), I could not pick up my rental vehicle when I arrived to collect it. The guy at the desk asked if I wished to cancel then, to which I obviously replied with ‘yes’. On eventually tracking down the top tier culprits, I asked for my refund, but I have now been told, either due to blatant lies, or communication ineptitude, that it was never cancelled, therefore I ams not enititled to my £179 back! This seems to me like an issue between the gangsters Cartrawler and Budget, who were the actual supposed suppliers. I feel like they have committed daylight robbery, and they simply do not care.
