About Chilton Furniture:

Chilton is a family-owned, Maine company dedicated to selling fine, wood furniture, all American-made. We are known for our Shaker-inspired designs, and also feature Arts & Crafts, modern and cottage style pieces in solid cherry, maple, ash, walnut, and quarter-sawn oak. We are also known for the quality craftsmanship of our custom work. Many of our pieces can be custom built to your specifications.

Much of our furniture is handcrafted in small Maine workshops, and we also work with boutique craftsmen in New Hampshire, Vermont and the Midwest, many of whom have been partners for decades. All of these cabinetmakers have a Shaker-like dedication to workmanship, function, and simplicity of line and form. All of Chilton’s pieces are built to our high standards, and a growing number are original, proprietary designs.

“We bought 2 bed frames (king shaker arch, queen shaker classic) and 2 nightstands with 3 drawers each. They are lovely, beautifully made and exactly as pictured. The delivery person was incredibly friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the delay between completion of the furniture and the delivery. This was explained on the website, but not prominently.”

“Purchased a beautiful cherry wood dining table which, unfortunately, arrived damaged. Chilton staff was immediately responsive and worked diligently on repair solutions before ultimately determining to replace the table. I would definitely feel confident in ordering drom Chilton again.”

“The Shaker desk is exactly what I was hoping for. Well-made, right size for my space, ample drawer space. I was really pleased that it was delivered a month ahead of the estimate. The delivery guys, who were actually early, got the desk though a very tight doorway into my office.”

“I ordered a custom bookcase from Chilton and could not be happier with the quality and the service. I ordered one fo the standard bookcases but with fixed insetad of adjustable shelves, and I wasn't charged anything additional for the customization. Ordering and delivery were easy, commuincation in between was excellent, and everyone was knowledgable and friendly. And the bookcase is BEAUTIFUL. Truly an heirloom piece. Every time I walk into the room, it sparks joy.”
