Was sent a watch that does work!! Was told to take it somewhere local to me to repair? This should not be the case when you spend over £200 for a watch

Dear Anchel, I believe there may be a misunderstanding, in the email sent to you you were advised that you could take it to a store local to you if there is one to have the watch looked at, meaning a Chisholm Hunter store, not any jewellers. You were then advised that if there was not a store local to you that you can send the watch back to us via post for it to be assessed in our workshop. We did not hear back from you so I have sent you an email to assist you further with this if you could please get back to me we can get this resolved. Kind Regards, Chisholm Hunter

Refused a cash refund and offered a credit note only. Now have to mess around buying jewellery with it to sell to get money back. Ridiculous. And if I had bought online would get a refund! No wonder high street shops will disappear soon. And good riddance!

Stone on ring fell our after less than a year of occasional use. Returned for repair. Still waiting for ring to be repaired and returned 3 months later.

Awful after sales service, I personally will never use or recommend them to any one. I bought a luxury watch RRP £4,360.00 online in December 2021, when It arrived the strap was to tight and needed two additional links adding. Customer services promised that this would not be a problem and that they will arrange for them to be sent to me. This promise was made on several occasions. Two months later, I still haven’t received the additional links or any updates on the progress. Very poor customer service and a business that needs to be avoided. I will be buying my watches elsewhere in future.

Paid a 50% deposit on a Zenith watch with a delivery date lead time of 6-10 weeks. Delivery didn’t happen and I had to chase store to find out why. A further delivery was advised and defaulted on followed by another. Reasonably I thought, I asked for my £3.6k deposit to be refunded and replaced with a smaller holding sum as I was unhappy with them being in possession of such a large sum of my money for this extended period of time. I was advised by manager this wasn’t possible which made me think they weren’t confident in the dates they were telling me so I cancelled the order. Very poor experience and wouldn’t use this company again.

Please please don’t buy from this company, they have absolutely no empathy or after care and if there is a problem with jewellery purchased then it’s “your” problem. Returned a ring barely worn because of COVID/lockdowns etc as the main stone was wobbly, I was told (surprise surprise) that it was damaged by me and I had to pay £235 to repair although there was a 10 year warranty. Their customer service even told me a hair or a thread caught in the claw could damage it?! In that case it’s not fit for purpose in my opinion and they have a duty of care to open a dialogue with me. 4 months down the line and nothing. Save yourself some trouble in the future and go elsewhere

Ordered Christmas present which never arrived. Wasn’t til I chased it they told me out of stock when ordered. After speaking to customer service they dispatched a new one. When would that have happened/I got a refund if I hadn’t checked?

Shockingly bad experience with this jewellers, appalling lack of customer service and 4 months with no outcome or ring returned. According to them “a hair or a thread” can damage a £1k diamond ring…..I certainly won’t be using again

Wrong item arrived. Sent the incorrect item back, waited over 1 week more for my item. Was promised a gift card as a way of apology and no gift card has arrived as of yet. Company promised call backs did no get them. Asked for a manger to call me- did not get that either. Very bad experience using this company.

Awful service! From being told at point of purchase I could return or exchange an item, to then reading the policy on a printed receipt (none of which is stated on the email receipt) that you can only exchange for store credit. Long story short I was told under no circumstances will they refund, this should reall be clearly stated on all receipts if not on a giant sign at the shop door

Just disappointed they do not do refunds I received a bracelet from my husband but it was to small and did not need anything else was told under NO CIRCUMSTANCES they give refunds

I purchased a watch that didn’t work so took it to your shop in Leeds they had it over night still didn’t work so had to send it to your work shop in Scotland you were supposed to send me pre paid envelope or parcel so I could send it back that never came your workshop said there’s no movement on the watch and it’s got to go to the suppliers for them to have a look at so you couldn’t offer me a refund or exchange watch so not very happy with service at all

I ordered a very special birthday gift for my mother and it was to be delivered Wednesday. I heard nothing and she is 80 today and when I contacted their “help” desk I was told the mail will be back on track in a more leisurely manner AFTER Christmas and my mother would get her present NEXT THURSDAY. I’m in Canada and now I’ve sent her nothing. I’ll NEVER trust Chisholm Hunter again. So upset and angry

Received a pocket watch that only opened by 70° making it difficult to use. I returned for a refund. The refund took weeks and was only sent after I had written a Trustpilot review. This delay was apparently due to an investigation that should have taken 2-3 days. I was not sent any conclusion to this investigation. I am now struggling to get my return postage refunded even though promised via email. This performance by Chisholm is certainly not one I would be proud of. I can't see any reason why a company would behave in this way, other than not caring about their customers.

Watches put into Stirling store for repair on 29 August. Still not back. Repair was a simple battery replacement for one watch and a service and reseal for another. Email to customer service received a quick response but still no watches back. Email and letter to CEO received no response as yet. Two high end watches, and a simple repair takes three months and counting. I'm speechless as to my thoughts on Chisolm Hunter, Rado and Raymond Weil.
