“For a box whose unique selling point is that it is a box of luxury beauty products, I expected to be wowed by not just the contents but also by the presentation. Sadly this box did neither, the products were mediocre and the box was slightly ripped and dented. This was my first box and if it was like its previous boxes, I probably would've continued purchasing monthly, however I would suggest sticking to mylittlebox which is a much more affordable and cute monthly subscription box.”

“I have little bit of a problem with that one. Judging only by products which they sell I could give Cohorted 5 stars but it is completely different story when it comes to their customer service. As probably most people I heard about their amazing Beauty Box so I decided to order one. When placing an order I have added make up brush to it. I was waiting for the box almost 21 days after which I decided to contact their customer service. As mentioned in earlier reviews no luck with that for few days. Suddenly when I started to giving up and after stupidly placing another order I called again and to my surprise half past 4 really nice man picked up. He refunded my money he was very polite and apologetic about the experience. So I don't know what to think. I will probably try one more time because the products for the price you pay look amazing and just judging by the products it is the best beauty box around at the moment in UK( I am an beauty box addict). Company seems to be genuine it is just lack of any response when you have a problem ( lets face it when you order online there is almost always some kind of problem) which is very frustrating. My advice is to keep trying to reach them.”

“As a regular beauty box buyer I was excited to finally get a cohorted box. While the box arrived as stated the products were ok , it was clear that one item I received was used (tested) with oil finger marks in an eyeshadow and deeply scratched packaging. I have politely emailed cohorted and have waited five days now with no response. The likes of LIB and birch box offer a much better service for both the merchandise and CS. I was eager to grab a box and was hoping to get a positive reply from the cohorted team so I could order the sept box . As I have had no response I see little point in continuing , a reply would have been nice , a product from a bargain basement bin wasn't the standard I expected . I would advice other branded boxes .”

“Just got Augusts beauty box & loved it! High end brands at low end prices - 2 eyeshadow palettes did seem strange though & would have perhaps preferred a lipstick or mascara or blush etc.. But all in all for £20 it's more than worth it :)”

“This was my first Cohorted box, and from the excitement on social media I got my hopes up about this box. I can't say I'm disappointed with the box, it has fantastic items... The 2 eyeshadow products in 1 box seemed a bit much but I love eyeshadow...so they will be used. Will be pre ordering again soon for the September box to see what it's like”

“I have been getting the cohorted box for about 6 months now, although it was a battle to get them the first couple were really good. I have noticed that each month the quality is deteriorating rapidly. The customer service is shocking, they don't reply to messages or emails for weeks. I have bought cohort items from the site and never received them, I sent various messages and only when threatened with a credit card dispute did they refund me. I agree with other reviews that some items seem out of date and I wonder if they are adhering to consumer laws.”

“I received my first cohort beauty box and was excited. When I opened the box I was really disappointed. The box itself was damaged. The cargo palette was not the same in the picture. It had no mirror in it. The plastic was scratched and dirty full of eye shadow it was like they ran out and put in one which had been laying around for ages. Also the colours were not the same as shown in reviews and pictures. The make brush bristles were bent in the box all the rest of the products dirty also. I won't be ordering another one I don't care if they have high end products it looks like the products in there judging by the state of them have past there expiry date.”

“Absolutely despicable customer service.. Perhaps the worst I've ever experienced. The box is okay, however the (lack of) customer service has made sure I never purchase a thing from them again. Terrible!!!!”

“I was so excited about this box, however upon opening I could see that the quality of the items was very poor. The product cases were all scratched and dented they basically looked like second hand items. I know other reviewers have also mentioned this about the products. I certainly won't be buying anything from the store again which is a shame because the boxes earlier in the year looked great.”

“After all the hype I couldn't wait to receive my box. The Cargo product was totally smashed into powder all over everything else and the brush that was listed on the card was missing. Have emailed customer service but heard nothing.”

“Haven't even received the box yet! Had an email one week ago but every time I track it on Hermes it says, still awaiting collection by courier! Took so long to actually manage to order a box and now waiting even longer to receive it. Despite 3 emails to cohorted - no response! This is really 'taking the gilt over the gingerbread!' Hope it's worth the wait ????”

“Top quality products but after buying 4 beauty boxes, I won't order another. Too many eye shadow palettes....all top quality but very much the same. Cohorted love Cargo products, which are, just OK. Beauty boxes are a bit of a lucky dip when it comes to what suits you. Not all colours have suited me and I have given away. Colours should be neutral warm tones that will suitable for every.”
