“As I stated in my email of the 30/01/18 this time (5th or 6th delivery) the broth arrived in partially thawed condition. Previous batches arrived perfectly solid and still frozen. My email mentioned this and I asked you if you considered it was safe to consume - I have to date received no reply. Apart from this 'blip' in your otherwise amazing service - I'm more than satisfied. This time your lack of follow up was way short of your usual high efficiency level.”

“Excellent service although I ordered quite near to Christmas. Gorgeous tasty ham with wholesome texture and not salty as some we have tried. The best we have had since producing our own dry-cured hams! (Delivery fell at the last post as DPD is HOPELESS in our rural area but luckily I went out and tracked the van!)”

“Nicely sized for a pot, good mix and made a delicious stock along with the marrow bones. Reduced a star as a little bit expensive (some give free when you're buying meat and the most I've paid before this was up to £3.50 kg), but convenient if you just want stock products.”

“I expected to receive a thick broth with bone gelatine in it that makes it thick - and instead I received watery broth evidently not made of many bones but made with a mixture of few bones & meat and other incrediences in it .... Disappointed”

Hi Eva, The Borough Broth co. cook their broths with a 40% bone ratio for 24 hours to try and extract as much gelatine as possible from the bones. However due to the organic supply of bones the gelatine content is never 100% consistent. However we have found our broths are some of the most gelatinous on the market so we're surprised you've not experienced this. This is the first complaint of it's kind like this. One question would be as you bought frozen broth - did you defrost the broth in the fridge or at room temperature? If at room temperature or heated up the gelatine won't gel in the same way as if it were fully defrosted and chilled. Either way we're sorry you haven't experienced the broth you were anticipating.

“I received my first order a few weeks ago, love the packaging , and so recycle able, will use sheeps wool on my organic veg plot, to keep slugs at bay. First time we have eaten bacon with no nitrates, like my mom and dad used to eat when they were growing up. It was more fatty than I hoped would be great to get it leaner next time, also the minuet Steak was great and also the chicken portions with skin, still have to try the duck and beef sausage. Will definitely be ordering again.”
