Unfortunately this was a gift for my daughter and new grandson, but when it arrived the wooden frame was stained with strong smelling chemicals in one place, so not useable. I think we need to return it for an exchange.

I was purchasing the wooden toy bunny hutch for my granddaughter, when I checked the delivery charge it was £28 to Northern Ireland. I am at a total loss as to how this can be justified. The delivery would have been £4 cheaper than the actual item.I purchased from a competitor with a £3-95 charge and would certainly not purchase from Cottage toys in the future

Ordered toys on the 8/12 for Christmas and despite two phone calls in which despatch/delivery was promised faithfully the order was not completed. The order was eventually delivered, sorted out by a very helpful Joanne, in January.

Sorry to see you missed one of your items on your order, this must have been due to a packing error. After checking your order, we can see that one of the three items you ordered was not delivered, this was re-dispatched as per our confirmation by phone however unfortunately was returned back to us. We re-dispatched this again in January for you and are very happy to see you were well looked after by Joanne :)

Ordered two wooden bears for my daughter for Christmas. Only one arrived. I sent an email with pictures. No reply. Not impressed.

Hello, sorry to see one of your items was missing. We did have your reply on the 22.12 and unfortunately, it was too late to get another one dispatched in time for Christmas delivery. We did reply to your email and will check what you would now prefer. Kind regards

Bought two items as Christmas presents Thursday 9th December. Received advice that delivery would be Monday 13th December, then that it was delayed. No reason was given. Then further advice that the gifts were at DHL delivery depot at 01:24 on Wednesday 15th December. Finally delivered Friday 17th December but DHL tracker now shows at DHL delivery depot at 07:09 Friday 17th December. something not right. Should I be reimbursed for delivery charges?

Hello Keith. Thank you for your feedback. We have looked into your order and can confirm that your order came in at 21.53 on the 9.12.12. We then dispatched it the next day which was a Friday although you chose standard delivery, not next day. Your parcel then was delivered on Wednesday and only 4 working days from order. We apologise for the confusion from DHL, but their network at this time of year is extremely busy.

Very misleading thought I was actually purchasing a doll with the swim suit for £50 but it was a dolls swimsuit and a child swimsuit with no doll, it do state it in the description bellow but in every photograph it shows doll with swimsuits.

Hello, thank you for your review. We are sorry to read that you feel that our listing was misleading. After checking the product in question we have checked the description and it mentions that the set comprises of 1 child swimsuit and 1 doll swimsuit, which dolls are suitable for the set and then states in bold at the end 'doll not included' We have tried to be as clear as possible however are sorry you missed this information. If you would like to return your item please get in contact where we can offer you a refund.

Lovely Tender Leaf and Little Dutch products and they arrived promptly. The plastic packaging was very disappointing when there are so many sustainable packaging options available now. For this reason I will not be buying from Cottage Toys again.

We are really sorry to hear that you are dissapointed with the packaging of your order. After checking your order due to the size of this package it would have been sent with a DHL bag. These are fully recyclable, however we do understand your concern and we have already reduced our plastic waste by using paper gum tape and recycable materials for packing out boxes. We are also looking into removing the bag service for shipments and are in discussions with DHL about how this can be achieved.

Unfortunately the product description on the website was incorrect and the spec of the item delivered was not as advertised. Would have bought elsewhere if had known. I called them to query and was offered a refund but it was needed as a gift and didn't have time to return. Nice shop and prices appear to be sharp. Good post order communications.

I ordered a wooden birthday cake for my daughters 3rd birthday, upon opening it on her birthday she noticed there wasn’t a red candle to match the red piece- instead there were two orange candles which made the cake incomplete. This was fine, a mistake - but upon sending an instant chat with my order number on I’ve received no response. The website clearly stated if the order number was on this there would be a reply in due course. Disappointing, after I felt like I’d paid a premium for this product in the first place.

Hi Catherine, as per my email I do apologise that no one responded to your missed chat came through on Sunday morning. I do always aim to get back to customers as soon as possible but unfortunately weekend chats are not always picked up as our office is closed. If you had popped me an email or chased me up via chat again on Monday, during office hours, I would have got back to you straight away. I appreciate that perhaps you didn't think this would be necessary however. With regards to the issue with your item I have spoken to the supplier and asked if they are able to send you out a replacement, which should hopefully be with you in due course. I have also advised you of this in Wednesdays email. I understand it must be very frustrating that the candle is the incorrect colour. I would never wish for any customer to be left disappointed and will always sort problems out to the best of my ability in the quickest time frame possible. All I can do is apologise. Thank you for your feedback. After checking your order we have had correspondence with yourself and one of the 2 knights sets you ordered we were told was not packed. We have apologised and arranged for one new set to be sent out, there was a slight delay due to arrival of new stock. If we can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.
