“I don't even want to give this company 1 star the worse company in the world can't fix the problems call them for my washing machine and they said do this do that open the water waist check for blocked I said I can't its integrated if I know this all I wouldn't have to pay you then the person I called to remove the panels for me he fixed the machine to covertext still charged me for an engineer cancelled fee then called them about my tv they said I have to send them a recorded evidence of the fault wich I did send they said our engineer said it can't be fixed so if I choose a tv they will pay £250.00 pounds towards it I paid them £470.00 to replace my tv wich I chose from currys when I joined them 5 years a go they said like for like wich is a lies they are robbing people how they are getting a way with it I have paid this company thousands of pounds and they couldn't even replace my tv I am gutted I would have been better off putting that money a said and if anything breaks down just buy a new on we have insurances for peace of mind but this company gives u a nervous breakdown I just called them to cancel and the lady said I have to send a written email and 30 days notice and will have to pay one month's premium I think that is robery they just took £40 on the 23rd of April day light robrry all I can say don't even look at this company I sympathys are with every one”

Incompetent engineers-can’t fix the root cause and you wait at least 2 weeks for an engineer to finally show, the customer service manager Karen is rude and does not do anything to work with the customer. Ended up buying new appliance and having to pay hundreds to cancel with this company. Not a good company!”

“Keep taking direct debit payments but don't honour claims. When you try to cancel the direct debit they inform you will still be charged for the months ahead. Wish I had stayed with my previous insurer. They may have been more expensive but at least I could trust them”
“I urge anyone not to use Covertxt as they are not commissioned by any company. I received a letter approximately august 21 from their former investors China tapering advising that they are no longer working with such company due to their in adequate conduct. The company will be ceased end of September 2021 And based on reading the reviews below it backs up the claims. I was also advised that Smart Cover will deal with any of my claims in the interim
I was advised to cancel my direct debit and that I would no longer be insured (which I did) funnily enough received a call from covertxt stating that I need to igonore the other company and I should continue to pay them. I decided not to against that. And surprise surprise I began to receive the threatening language, I just continued to ignore and did not pay the cancellation fee either.
I faced no further consequences so please do not pay it.
Smart Cover on the hand were extremely helpful and understanding so please consider them instead.”
“When I first took the policy out in 2020 it was all on a promise to get my appliances repaired with no cost.
Did not really use them. But when I did need them, they diagnosis was poor and they were charging me for the repair. I decided not to use them because of the the cost.
I paid in full the 2nd year and when I did try to use them again they threw a charge at me . I wanted a refund on my money a month into the 2nd year but they were non compliant. This company left me feeling like I was robbed. Tried using their services to try and get something back but to no avail.”
“Extremely poor customer service. They took over a week to send an engineer and didn't return phonecalls. Left us with no freezer for over 3 weeks and only offered us £160 to get a new one. We'd almost paid that for the year's premium. Cowboys! Save your money.”

“Don't use this company, absolutely hopeless. They promise the world and when you join them they point to the terms and conditions. They even said to me that I will have to pay an exit fee of £10, this despite finishing my full term. Customer service is terrible, no one will resolve your issue.”
“What a knight mare. Could not get items repaired due to age. Didn’t mention that when they took me on. Then don’t want to pay out the small amount they allow you due to depreciation. Started my claim January. Still ongoing 9 months later. Just an absolute joke. Dead money. And they have not a clue what there doing your on hold all the time as they have to speak to another person. “When boiler stopped working in winter. phoned covertxtfor help their first question was when was it last serviced couldn’t remember was told couldn’t help me. Had to pay a £25 exit fee to leave this company, avoid at all cost stick to the the bigger company’s little bit more expensive but u do get the service.”
“Awlful service, been a customer for over 2 years. Wouldn't repair my washing machine. Said it was accidental. A bra wire had got stuck in the drum. The representative then was quite rude telling me how to do my washing. If it was a bra wire then I'd be charged the engineer fee? I cancelled there and then over the phone. Cancelled my direct debit. Now they are saying I still need to carry on paying?? Awlful company. It was a bra wire that came out in less than 10 seconds , I used an independent firm didn't even have to get his tools out and only charged me £20.

Maybe they are good in asking money or increasing their Direct Debit, but as soon as there is something wrong with your appliances, they start to refer to their terms and conditions. Our washing machine was covered by them for several year. When it broke, they offered only a small amount. Problem was that their customer service is also misleading and gave wrong information. When you want to cancel their direct debit, they will also deduct admin fees. So they are quite professional in ripping you off.”
