“I ordered my very 1st slide and frame from DTT from a friends recommendation, w/o reading reviews, or I would not have not ordered from DTT. In short, I ordered the Soulburn slide (it has a compensator) and frame a couple months ago, the wait was not long. I assembled the slide, placed it on the frame and test fired it. The 9mm would not cycle with the compensator, I tried it in every position possible with no luck. I took the compensator off and the 9mm cycled fine. I reached out to DTT, they wanted to send me another guide rod with a softer spring, but would only do so if I mailed the one I had first, rendering the 9mm useless if I had needed it. I mailed it, got the new one back pretty quick and it too made no improvements to the 9mm, it still would not cycle w\compensator, I would remove the compensator and it would again cycle properly. I this time reached out to DTT management about me buying a 9mm from DTT and it not functioning properly and all they were willing to do is for me to mail in the slide so they could inspect it, or mail me another guide rod and softer spring, after I mail them the one I have first. (I have to trust them, but they don't trust me?) I even offered for DTT to just mail me a thread protector and would just leave the compensator off and management was not willing to do that either, they wanted to SELL me one. My entire experience with DTT was less than fun, I just wanted to buy a weapon that worked, thats all. Fortunantly I have several others to choose from.
It is obvious to me that DTT sold me a 9mm that had not been put through a functions test, and as the consumer having to keep mailing parts back and forth is very agravating and a very bad first impression. I will not feel the need to purchase from DTT again, the 9mm is not poorly made, it is worth the price and I hope they get the kinks worked out in thier company because as a Marine veteran I am a firm believer in our 2nd Amendment, and we may need DTT products with the direction our country is headed.”
“Order number DT-770550, I do not recommend buying ar10 308 build kits from here. They gave me AR-15 parts which were obviously not for a 308 ar10. When I contacted customer service they said it was too far outside the warranty. I bought it and it sat for a couple months since I was buying parts over time. When I began building it was when I ran into these issues and contacted them which was no help because it was already past the warranty date. When I built it after buying the correct parts the barrel was seated in the receiver and there is an obvious edge where the bullet and cartridge would scrape and create a malfunction. Since learning this issue I had to grind and polish the barrel where the bullet gets fed. Then I discovered another issue, the gas tube they sent me was too short..so now I am waiting for a new gas tube.”
