“It's a shame how rude the representative was to me. First of all I have made several purchases from them and didn't expect to be treated so bad. I have made 2 complete builds through them. Which surprised me after spending another $140 for optics and trigger not receiving my order. They show delivery but I never received it. It was supposed to have a signature and they just dropped it anyway "Supposedly". They said that I should have purchased protection . I request a signature but they didn't send that way. I was told to bad nothing they can do. Personally never again there are several other manufacturers out there that have the same quality merchandise. Don't buy from them because they don't care about customers. As an armour i will never use them again.”
“I dont understand the complaints for DTT. They are a go to supplier for me. You have a budget company and you expect next day service, why?. The expectations dont match the price point. Follow the business rule of three- you can get it cheap, fast or quality. You can only have two of the three.
Let me get the bad out first. Their communication is not timely. If you have a problem you have to email them and wait. They send shipping notices and they reply to your inquiry in a few days. (The review rankings jump from 6-12 hrs to over a week, my experience is within 3 days). I struggle to get 1 moa at a 100 yards, but lets be honest, i cant get that with most of my guns that are more reputable. Because I am using factory ammo and shooting prone off a bipod, and I’m not a perfect ahooter. Their stock triggers are heavy, and clunky. You might have a few tight or loose fittings (usually on the stock, maybe on the upper to lower fitting. Nothing you wont see other places.
The price point is the number one sell point. You can get a full length (16”) for under $240 and you can go to your local shop and buy a stripped lower for $40-$100. Pair that with 10% off and free shipping and its a steal. You wont be able to get a complete base model 16” ar-15 at a lower price. Believe me ive looked.
If you stick with standard 5.56 or 223 your rifle will function flawlessly. Ive only had trouble with non standard platforms such as 9mm, 450 busmaster or .350 legend. The issue on the 9mm was the buffer weight, which was my fault for ordering the wrong buffer. The others were magazine issues and known problems for the cartridge not DTT fault.
Their drop in triggers rival triggers from rise armament and PSA. Of the ones I’ve purchased only one has noticeable grit or take up. The rest are crisp and sharp. Id like a 1.5 lb but again, budget. They’ve installed easily and have a tight fit. The reset can be audible when not shooting, but is firm and crisp.
I’ve even built models that only have higher end components because they are still cheaper at at DTT. Most of us like to be picky about the stock, grip, trigger and fore grip. (After barrel and bcg of course). The touch points are critical. They function great. I’ve spent upwards of $150 on stocks and $50 on grips, and they arent better than what I get at DTT. I’ve spent the extra on lower parts, the base parts are all the same no matter the retailer. The upgraded parts are sometimes better than more expensive sites, sometimes you can still tell they are budget. I hate buying a completed lower and then spending extra on a trigger. Stock. Or grip just to get what I want. So I just buy what I want and piece it together and dont have wasted spare parts.
I dont shoot 10,000 rounds a year, they way I look at it, if I burn out a DTT barrel or BCG it isnt hard to replace those pieces. At that point I can buy a better barrel or keep buying from DTT. I can get 8-10 barrels from DTT for the price of an expensive one, and shoot way more rounds than I ever will out of the expensive one.I’m not worried about functionality in life or death, it functions great and could save my life. I will runout of ammo in a shtf moment before the gun fails. It also isnt my self defense firearm- so theres that.
You can pay (like $20) for them to assemble the pieces for you. I dont pay that for two reasons. First, its fun to assemble these guns. Second, I like to customize my parts. Rarely do I buy a kit (I have, but not usually.). Buy a kit or a premade rifle and rarely does it have the exact pieces you want. The butt stock is a prime example. You can get a prebuilt gun or lower with magpul parts, or you can build it with the specific magpul parts you want. You still might want to swap out the trigger, pins, safety, muzzle device (etc etc.). I can get all of those on DTT at good prices.
When I buy a Mountain Bike, if I buy a Huffy at Wally World- I know what im getting. It will be heavy, and a little clunky. Over time, even with care, it will wear out. It will get me from point A to Point B, and stop when I need to. While I prefer my Gary Fisher because it looks cool and lasts longer, I spent way more on it than the Huffy but it still wears out, has its flaws, and takes up space.
My point is this, stop hating on a company that offers you budget rates. If you want big name service and parts, pay the big name money. If its not in your budget to spend, then DTT is going to work great. There are options out there for a few dollars more that also work great, the internet will tell you where to go. I’ve gotten those ones and they work no better or worse than DTT.
Dont buy budget if thats not what you want.”
“Same problem as most folks here. Very hard to get a hold of and......I bought an item, they were supposed to send an conformation email.....they never did, I waited and waited.....more than a week after 9 days I finally got ahold of them and asked for a refund....so they deduct money from my refund when they were the ones that did not perform. I did my part they did not and they charged me for it”
“The item seems to be what I ordered. Shipping and communication were horrible. I tried reaching out / left several messages with no response. Items took over 30 days to be delivered with NO RETURN on my messages, which seem to be the norm forvthis retailer. I was about to cancel my order but I did eventually get it. This was my first and last order with them. I was thinking I was scammed.”
“Extremely poor customer service. They never answer when you call (On hold the whole time), don't return calls when requested and they don't answer emails either. I've waited two weeks for the product I purchased and absolutely nothing. I've sent email after email and nothing. No updates, no it's on back order nothing. Tried to cancel my order and get a refund and still no communication from them. When you call the number the answering service says they are part of Davidson Defense too (poor review also.) I will not buy from this company again because of their lack of communication.”
“Do not buy here. Never again. Scammed my dad, just out to make a buck. Shipped him a Full build kit with no BCG or trigger group. Was told not their problem and to buy the parts and get free shipping. What?? They also pushed him into a generic $100 scope combo with a plastic red dot that fell apart and generic plastic flip up sights that can’t even be used with the scope mounted. This isn’t quality you want to hunt with. Terrible company. Cheap full build kit is not as advertised.”
“Purchased a full kit, minus lower 6 weeks before deer season. Kit showed up 1 week before the reason I ordered it in the first place! The kit barrel had the chamber cut off axis to the bore (lands showing on one side and NOT the other side) the barrel should never have made it thru Quality Control. Shot it anyway hoping it might shoot better than it looked, 170 factory rounds later I stopped wasting money, bought a new barrel, got my deer the day before the last day of season! I have e-mailed, called and left messages ZERO response ! I have no use for a business like this one and they will never see another dime from me! Mark F.”
“Ordered handguard on 12-12-25 sent several emails and called several times no answer on if it is going to be shipped save your money order from Midway or gorilla machine they answer their phone Don't buy from delta team tactical!!!!!!!!”
“in the past they were ok, but my current order is in a "New Order" status for 4 weeks. No reply or response on status inquiries. I spent over 1500.00 in the past with this company and they are losing a customer over a 40 dollar order of in stock parts.”
“This company is very slow at shipping products. I purchased five items at the beginning of December and have still not received them. I have not received any additional emails either, other than the initial “Thank you for your order” confirmation. They do not answer phone calls, which is very irresponsible. When you click the link to check the order status, it does not provide any information. This is the first and last time I will purchase from this company. Hopefully, I won’t end up receiving the products sometime next year, in 2026. Poor company — I do not recommend it.”
“I placed an order at Delta Team Tactical on the 3rd of Dec, when i spoke with the at the 15day mark they said this is normal and if i wanted to cancel the order they would and then charge me a restocking fee for something that hasnt shipped yet. They're Quick to take your money, Quick to flood your inbox with junk mail and Slow to ship your order even if that order is said to be in stock. You wont get an update nor a time frame on when your order will be shipped! No way to look up on the status of your order neither! Terrible services to say the least!”
