Brought sofa in April,on the 26 June told our sofa had arrived in warehouse.we were told it would be delivered ,on the 2 July. Then we received another phone call,saying we have the opportunity to have it earlier on the 30th June.we were delighted .we promptly disposed of our sofa,ready for the new one.two days before delivery received another phone call,! Informing us that our due delivery date is the 2nd august.we told the lady on the other end of the line about the different dates we have been told.without saying we were lying,she said that it was very doubtful DRs had called us,but if they had she did not know why they had called us telling us these dates.if we were not satisfied call head office.we were calling on and off for days.but did not get through.so went back to store were we brought it.again told don’t know why they told you this!it’s due for delivery 2 august.but would get someone from head office to call you.one week and still waiting.no calls. Fingers crossed will..be deliverd 2nd august.such bad business practice. Got to big to care about its customers.very disappointed.

We always have our sofas from DFS and all staff friendly until we had sofa delivered and both sofas came with different coloured feet. We rang to explain and we had reply back well you signed for them so tough. We never signed for two different feet so now they are willing to change them after three phone calls were made. The guy that served us very unpleasant on phone which got my husbands back up. If you are buying a sofa from DFS in Cannock ask for Ian as he is a really nice guy and in future we will only deal with himself. I cannot knock the sofas from DFS as always been happy with them.

GREAT AFTERCARE - I have had numerous sofas from DFS over the years and I have always found them good quality, albeit the aftercare can and has let them down. I must say though the aftercare has worked excellently on my recent purchase I purchased a circular chair online, as it perfectly matched the sofa I had bought from them 2 years ago and as I needed an additional chair and my original sofa has been discontinued, I was thrilled to realise I could order a chair which matched. I quickly ordered this chair online, for delivery for Christmas, as I had found a match for my older sofa. I must say though I was a tad hasty in ordering the chair and hadn't realised it was a swivel chair :( The chair arrived and it matched my old sofa to a tee, but with it being a "swivel" chair I found that when getting yourself out of the chair, which is a large circular shape it tipped forward because the chair only has the swivel mechanism underneath and no legs, understandably so the chair swivels. I called the aftercare department who sent a service man round to view this issue, I told him he could take the chair back as I couldn't have a chair which tipped every time you get out of it, but would have feet placed on the sofa.......miraculously he had a set of matching feet, to match my original sofa and took the swivel mechanism off and replaced with feet, which to be honest is what I thought I had ordered in the first place, I didn't want a swivel chair. Now the chair is sturdy, usable and isn't a safety hazard. Very long winded I know, but they have solved my problem, free of charge as I have only had the chair a few days and now I have a chair which doesn't tip over - CAUTION BE CAREFUL THOUGH IF ORDERING A SWIVEL CHAIR, THEY MAY BE CLASSED AS SAFE BUT DO NOT FEEL IT AT ALL

We are in love with our new sofa's from DFS, the desicion was easy to select this sofa set as they simply were everything we were looking for. The sofa's are deep and extremely cosy, the fit in exactly with the style of living room we were aiming for. The only reason for the 4 star rating is because the larger of the tho sofa's couldn't fit into our lounge and the banister had to be dismantled to allow this (not a fault of DFS but of our foolish measurements) however our wall did suffer a rather large hole while the attempts to put the larger sofa in were made. We didn't notice until the delivery men had left so that was a shame.

We are very pleased with our new sofa purchase. The ordering was easy and delivery prompt with polite drivers. The only gripe would be the floor protectors they charge you £30 for. Total rubbish and fell off after 2 weeks. We brought some from a diy shop in the end for £5 and they are still on 5 months later.

Good Selection and good quality, arrived earlier than predicted although poor delivery drivers had been up since 4 in the morning and couldn't put the stuff together for us as their route menat delivery to us at 6 in the evening and they lived in Nottingham, we are in South Oxfordshire!

Went to DFS to look at a new sofa for the conservatory over the week end and the staff were helpful and attentive listened to our needs and advised on the pros and cons of the choices we made then assisted us with the purchase of two new sofa.

I would not recommend anybody going to dfs for any furniture at all because the service I have had from start to finish has been absolutely appalling, nobody cares and nobody wants to do anything so i am leaving it in tbe hands of a solicitor at citizens advice. So people out there, don't spend money at dfs, the products they sell are a heap of *hit

I wish I had read these reviews before I bought a leather recliner from DFS , long delivery time and then 4 weeks late, not responding to correspondence, vague answers. I’m calling them DFS , approximate, estimate as everything is designed to give them a get out for poor service. Delivery in unmarked van , they took protective packaging off before delivery in the house, could have easily been damaged carrying through doors and I paid £69 for that . Spent £ 1000 on the recliner chair could have thrown in the delivery I will buy from them and hope that the chair is of a much better quality than their customer service. I won’t mess about with them if it isn’t and will head to the courts if necessary to get my money back

For anyone considering buying a new sofa or suite from DFS, when I purchased my suite at £3807 I was told if I had a problem with it, the frame, springs or cushions, someone would come and repair it while it was under the 10 years guarantee (now 15 years). In reality the guarantee is worthless as it only covers the parts that are less likely to wear out the frame & springs under the cushions, the cushions only get a 2 years guarantee and within 2 years they will have collapsed, so you’ll still be paying for it if you took the 4 years interest free option. Also they are now making suites where the cushions aren’t serviceable, i've just had the service manager here to look at my suite, I was told the cushions were out of warranty but as a goodwill gesture he cut open the fabric across the bottom of the suite below the damage seat and shoved some more foam in it above the spring to plump the cushion back up into shape. This was appreciated it has given the suite a bit more life expectancy, although when I purchased it I thought it would be good for the best part of the “ 10 YEARS WARRANTY “ as we are a retired couple. My advice is buy a cheap suite and replace it after 2 years, that’s what I’ll do next time I get one. And I don’t expect it matters who you get the suite from the guarantee will be the same worthless, so when the salesman tells you they have a 15 years guarantee read the small print.

I brought protection cover for damages and spillages was promise they will come sort it out anytime its rubbish and false advertising.. they recommend this only to sell another product its not worth buying at all. They are lie and its a scam I would never go back to them

Shocking avoid like the plaque unless like me you pay £2000 for a suite the arms go flat within 6 months and then you get someone out from Dfs to look at it to get told you haven’t looked afterwards it properly as you haven’t battered it into shape every night bearing in mind they are fixed arms, unless you have money to waste go elsewhere, I am now in the process of looking for a new sofa as this one looks about 10 years old and it is actually only 6 months old. DISGUSTING

The cost of delivery it's outrageous a £100 on top of paying a over a £1000 when I am only 15 MIT's from bury . I got a sofar from Argos 4 months ago it cost £10 delivery with 2men .on you web site say a small delivery charge I don't call £100 a small amount on top

My wife and I purchased a suite of Caldo furniture for £5,027 from DFS in Inverness. We did not notice in the showroom just how far the legs angle out. When we brought it home my wife and i would walk by and kick the legs so many times and it's really sore. We were willing to live with it however my wife's aunt who is 86 years of age and then our neighbour who is 74 both tripped on them. Thank God neither of them were hurt however that was it for us we spoke with DFS and needless to say their response was there is nothing we can do. I told them we did not pay this amount to bring a trip hazard into my home to hurt our friends and family. We are really disappointed with not just the design but the attitude of DFS - they clearly don't care.

So i purchased a 2 x sofa from DFS and had it delivered today. Noticed that there where no cushions with the sofa. So i questioned this with customer services who told me that this is a common complaint because people think the cushions come with it and they are separate. The store has called me back and said they are an additional cost. I explained that i did not see any price tag in the store and it was not explained to me they would be an additional charge. Other parts where explained and but nothing about the cushion. I was told by the store that i should have asked the questioned the questions! Even after speaking to the Manager there is nothing they did to resolve this problem which i think is poor customer service when the sales person did not explain this to me at the time of purchase. I bought as i seen it and i seen no price tags at the time. Very poor customer relations from the store

Cushing of very poor quality in four years very saggy no support no warranty come back over £5000 expected a lot better
