“Very very disappointed with Direct Sight. I chose my frames and ordered Premium package with varifocals, photo chromatic lens and all the trimmings etc. I included an up to date prescription and my PD. I just couldn't see properly out of them when they arrived; gave them a few days then had to send them back with required form and explanation. Also the frames were described as large, but they were very small and too tight on the sides of my head - the arms were too long, which resulted in them falling off my nose. I then received a reply stating that I would only receive the amount for the frames and not the lenses!! This meant that out of the £186 I paid, I would only receive as a refund about £24 for the frames. Totally misleading advertising. Looking closely at the Returns info, it states "return frames", which I assumed included the lenses......I would avoid this company unfortunately. I decided to ask that my lens and frames were returned and I'll go elsewhere, but check them out more thoroughly first!”

“I ordered a pair in October. I thought they were great as arrived quickly and fitted well. Since then I’ve had blurred vision, headaches etc. Went to my optician to check I’m not missing something serious. The prescription in the glasses is close but wrong, the astigmatism reading is way off. I’d say, don’t buy from them! Wish I had read reviews first”

“I ordered several pairs in different designs as I hate wearing the same frame all the time. I ordered 5 pairs of varifocals 2 weeks ago,so far I have received 4 of them. I'm suitably impressed. Frames seem good quality and I can see in all of the pairs. I definitely recommend them.”

“Ordered the rapid service and paid an extra £15 for the service. A week later they still haven’t arrived. Can’t comment on the quality as I don’t have then yet. However I do think the website should be more honest about timeframes. The price might be lower than the high street but you’ll wait a lot longer for the glasses than you would with a high street optician”

“Its ashame you cant give a no star rating avoid ordering glasses from these people i had to send my glasses back as wasnt right posted them first class a week ago and company still say havent recieved them back i find that hard to believe guessing this excuse is so they do t have to repay the money please all avoid sadly i just posted first class with no tracking number but even royal mail said first class they would have recieved them by now STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS SO CALLED COMPANY”

“I wish I'd seen these reviews before I ordered. My varifocals cost £202 - so not cheap. The blurred edges of the lenses mean that I have to swing my head right and left in order to read. It's impossible to read music at the piano which is one of the reasons I chose 'varifocal advanced', anticipating a superior lens. After a week or so of using them, I feel that I'm having to strain and squint to read. The clearest viewing area of the lenses seems to be the tiniest bit in the very centre of the lenses. Certainly not what I'd describe as 'varifocal advanced'. I do not believe they have two standards of varifocal lens as the cheaper version must be nigh on impossible to see with. I had hoped to buy two or three pairs as I quite like some of the frames on offer. I'm now convinced that they might not have been made to my prescription values. Certainly, the delivery was very fast, hence the two stars, but it now leads me to believe the making process was rushed. Also, they creak when I'm cleaning them. Admittedly, I paid extra for the thinnest lenses but that shouldn't mean flimsiness. Quite disappointed. And I don't have much faith in Direct Sight's refund process. I should like to be proved wrong by their Customer Service department.”

“I should have read the bad comments before ordering! It has now been 20 days and no glasses have arrived! Contacted the customer service team and they was very rude! So poor this company! Its not even funny! I feel like I have been robbed!”

“Sent my glasses recorded delivery I forgot to put any information in the parcel I sent them an email to let them know everything and they emailed back within 24hours and they received my parcel the next day and was sent the following day so it took like 2 days after sending them to receive them I could praise& rate them enough ! 10/10”

“Read some of these reviews and feared the worst. But no - three days after ordering, I received my glasses exactly as ordered. Decent frames, good lenses with all the coatings. Very happy. Order DS-1562070100-25460”

“Reglazed my Oliver Peoples glasses - returned the frames damaged, refused to accept any responsibility and insisted the damage occurred in transit, but also wouldn't claim against postal insurance. AVOID.”

“Their website says that they are registered at Companies House (ie are a limited company) however the company number they reference (08735778) is listed as dissolved in 2015. Smells fishy so won't be ordering now. Buyer beware.”

“received prescription reading glasses for my wife.The Lenses were so thick and incorrect .I believe they are more suited to the hubble telescope to look at galaxies far,far away .They are now in the dustbin for safe keeping !”

“I ordered a repeat prescription for a spare pair of glasses. I wasn't able to get used to them, and went to an expert to have them checked: he measured them against my other glasses and against the prescription and found that the lens for the left eye did not match the prescription. I have not been able to contact D S, and I cannot access my account because it will not accept either my password or the replacement pass‹ord they sent me.”
