received prescription reading glasses for my wife.The Lenses were so thick and incorrect .I believe they are more suited to the hubble telescope to look at galaxies far,far away .They are now in the dustbin for safe keeping !

1 starHELP NEEDED URENTLY! Hello, I Purchased a pair of glasses. Unfortunately they sent me the completely wrong lenses. In order to return the glasses they made me pay for recorded postage which they promised they would pay me back for. Unfortunately it has been over a month since they have received the returned glasses, and I am still yet to receive my money back. They are also not responding to any of my emails. Please help, am I able to contact the police or have I just been a victim of Fraud, with nothing I can do about it. Please could someone give me advice. It would be greatly appreciated, as I am desperate to get my money back

Their website says that they are registered at Companies House (ie are a limited company) however the company number they reference (08735778) is listed as dissolved in 2015. Smells fishy so won't be ordering now. Buyer beware.

What a bunch of lies. I've used these guys for 6 sets of reglazing, and ordered a pair from them, in the past year, for myself, my father and mother, and for a friend. They can take a while when busy but top notch service, prescription came out exactly as I ordered it, and it costs next to nothing compared to the high street retailer! I have never recommended a website more in regards to glasses Completely unfair reviews left by others, the sort of customers you wouldnt want to deal with as an independant retailer

I sent them a set of expensive frames to be re-glazed and they were returned with mismatched screws and scratches. On exactly the same day my friend ordered a pair of glasses which they claimed to have sent by first class post but had yet to arrive two weeks after their claimed posting date. Their delaying tactic is to say they are investigating this with the Royal Mail, though how they do this when they have sent the item unregistered is a mystery. Make a sentence out of these words: 'touch, barge-pole, I, them, with, a, wouldn't', if you have any sense.

Agree with other reviewers that they are a real bunch of liars. Very angry at having wasted so much time (7 weeks!!!) waiting for them to send an order. When they sailed majestically past the deadline I emailed a critical note asking when they would be delivered & they immediately cancelled the order! Still haven't received the refund though - funny how payments go straight away & refunds take a week! so angry with these liars, words cannot do it justice. Would advise anyone to avoid like the plague.

Ordered Glasses, within a week they had broke. Cheap nasty plastic. Contacted them to say they had broke was told they would send out another pair ! Waited two weeks, in that time I was unable to read and my eyes were sore. NO GLASSES. NO CONTACT ! So I rung them, was lied to me I was told their machine had broke, but would get next day delivery! NOTHING waited three extra days contacted them, and said I now wanted a up grade even offering to pay the difference ! I was then just refunded…. No contact nothing. DO NOT BUY ! After reading the above reviews something I wished I had done before I bought, BIG lesson learnt, I’m now going to go to Trading Standards, clearly something is a miss here !

Reglazed my Oliver Peoples glasses - returned the frames damaged, refused to accept any responsibility and insisted the damage occurred in transit, but also wouldn't claim against postal insurance. AVOID.

Can I just say, never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever use @directsight - they are unable to provide correct prescriptions/orders or any kind of general customer service. I had to send both of my re-glaze frames back twice because of their silly mistakes and they still haven't refunded postage. They also replied to me on a previous online review and lied! They're untrustworthy cowboys. Pay a tiny bit more and go to someone who is able to do the job and who cares. These guys don't have a phone number or complaint procedure so you can't be heard as a dissatisfied customer. It's very frustrating.

Bunch of crooks. Seem to employ a permanent email answerer to field complaints and put obstacles in the way of recompense. Avoid at all costs. Complain to Bucks trading standards on 0300 123 2329 enough complaints will see them prosecuted.

Ordered varifocals in a basic frame, they sent out a defective frame. I returned them for repair or replacement as they advised at my cost. They returned over a week later in a worse state than before. After numerous emails they just keep replying that I need to return them again for repair/replacement or refund but inform me I can't have refund on lenses only frame. Their customer service for such a large company is rubbish and once you've paid for your glasses your stuck with them including twisted bent frames, unless of course you want to part with more money for a frame upgrade and take your chance they arrive undamaged!

nose pad fell off within the first week. When contacted, was told to return item for repair. No offer of postage paid, or prepaid return. Wont use again

why not have a phone line! its ludicrous. very unhelpful staff i am still waiting for my glasses. i am so annoyed, cheap they may be but appalling customer service.

I have been dealing with internet firms for 10 years or so but I have never had service as good as yours .from near immediate reply to email to rectifying a problem which was probably my fault your performance has been exemplary streets better than others.Congratulations I am a very satisfied customer.

Thank you so much for your very fast responce in replacing my glasses which were too big, The replacement arrived today Friday 15th and i had only posted my original pair on Monday 11th. Thank you again for excellent service.must put this on Faceboook Regards Jack Jones

2nd time using this company for reglazing. I was a bit worried seeing some of the recent reviews here after sending my frames, but they arrived back a week later with no problems.

Awful company. I paid them to reglaze a pair of expensive glasses. They absolutely mangled them. I sent them back three times after the said they would fix them and in the end they lost them and refused to cover the cost.
