“This Company is just amazing! I have had several pairs of "Old Designer" spectacles upgraded to several prescriptions over a period of tim to my delight. High street Opticans avoid replacing lenses since they want the customer to purchase new designs. My spectacles are all "designer" and relensed to comply with new prescriptions. No problem whatsoever by Maria in Customer Services.5 stars from me!!! Retired R.G.N.”

“I paid for Express Delivery 48 hrs, received an email to say the frame was out of stock. I gave them the option of 3 other different frames stating I would be happy with any of those, did not receive them within the date specified. I cancelled the order and got a refund. No apology. I would not use them again”

“I placed an order with Direct Sight on 29/08/25, and despite having a straightforward prescription, my glasses did not arrive until 13/09/25 — 13 days later. When they finally arrived, the glasses were packaged in a small plastic bag placed inside a very thin envelope, offering no protection whatsoever. After only a few days of use, I noticed that the left lens was loose in the frame and wobbled from side to side, leaving me concerned that it may eventually fall out. I contacted Direct Sight about this issue, and received a generic, copy-and-paste response from Maria with no apology or acknowledgment of my specific situation. I explained that I would like a replacement pair, but Maria informed me this was not possible and insisted I send the faulty pair back for repair. I made it clear that I do not have a spare pair of glasses with the correct prescription, yet Maria simply stated there was nothing else she could do. This is extremely poor service. If you are considering purchasing from Direct Sight, I would strongly advise taking your business elsewhere.”

“Excellent Service, really came through in a mini crisis I was having. My daughter broke her specs a few days before a big trip overseas. It wasn't the easiest prescription to fill but this company came through and ensured the glasses turned up in time. Zoe in the firm kept me up to date with the progress and put my mind at rest. The glasses themselves are good quality- maybe a little big, but that was our fault for not providing enough measurements (we were in a bit of a stressed rush)! They got her through her trip though and a disaster was averted! I would recommend this company to anyone. Stellar service and great customer engagement.”

“VERY DISAPPOINTING MARIA!! Paid over a month ago for urgent glasses for my mother who has cataracts and glaucoma they messed me around from day one with empty promises and no delivery what so ever,was lied to several times and given false delivery dates by Maria Unfortunately, in that time my mother was unable to read as she had no glasses. SO NO GLASSES & NO CONTACT ! I Rang Maria, who told me catagorically they'll be upgraded post on the 17th of January because we've waited a almost a month - so we would get next day delivery! NOTHING waited three extra days no contact!! Emailed them about their complaints process as they are not been proactive or honest about delivery dates….DO NOT BUY ! After reading all the really bad reviews over the Internet this is something I wished I had done before I paid them, BIG lesson learnt now...”

“I've had a completely different experience to the below people on here. Easy to select and order on the website. Communication via email kept me up to date and I opted for the next working day delivery service and have received them on time. Everything as hoped for. I did have a side question and I had a response within minutes from Maria who has already sorted it so couldn't ask for more. Would happily use again if I needed a pair of glasses in a hurry.”

“My sunglasses have a manufacturing defect in them but because I'm out of your 12 month warranty , you're not interest . I consider the reactolite lenses not fit for purpose . If you want a pair of sunglasses to last more then 12 months don't buy from here because they don't care.”

“This company is a circus I wish I could show you the emails. Paid over 2 months ago for glasses they messed me around from day one with empty promises and no delivery what so ever,was lied to several times and given false dead line dates. This company is a scam if you ask me I have got my money back as yet. Stay away stay far away from this company.”

“Broke my glasses and didn't have time to go to Specsavers etc so I paid for their "next-day if ordered before 3pm" service in order to have glasses ready in time to go on holiday for the weekend. Gave it 4 days breathing room just in-case they turned out to be delayed. Unfortunately these useless flannels seem to advertise services they can't deliver, and so it wasn't until well over a week that I actually got them, AFTER I chased them up and had to then wait several days for a slow response ("oh sorry it got lost, i'll put it through now"). Of course the glasses are pretty much superfluous by this time as I've already returned from a blurry-eyed holiday lol. They were so honourable they even decided to give me a £10 refund. Funny considering you have to pay £19 for the next-day service. The glasses themselves were scratched lol, some weirdly oily fingerprints all over both of the lenses and chunks of the cheapy plastic frames had already been chipped off. Complete joke of a company. They've clearly been messing with reviews to give themselves a higher score on TrustPilot etc given how terrible they are. (4+ stars lol give me a break) AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.”

“I had previously purchased off Direct Sight with not problems. I recently placed an order for a reglaze of my glasses,I read reviews and became extremely concerned, there were so many negative reviews. My glasses arrived wasn't quite happy with them, I contacted Direct Sight who were extremely helpful. Return my glasses one week later they arrived back to me. They are excellent ! Needn't have worried at all. Thanks Direct Sight for an excellent service.”

“I ordered some glasses on 30th April. The glasses have still not arrived. They tell me that the glasses will arrive on the 18th May. I was trying to contact ‘Glasses Direct’. Direct Sight seem to have some way of confusing the purchaser. I think it’s a scam.”

“Terrible company, £150 for glasses to receive these in terrible quality, asked for this to be rectified and have been told I am lying and there is nothing with the glasses, now refusing to give me a refund. Impossible to speak to anyone instead they hide behind their emails. Shall be taking this further as it's theft, avoid if you do not want disappointment or stress.”

“Seriously Dont Bother with them at all… Seriouslyn't bother with them at all ! As a loyal customer having the same prescription and this is my 3rd lot ,they were wrong ! told to send them back for correction at my expense as they have a problem with the Post Office getting their return labels Ha Ha ! total rubbish and today for the umpteenth time their phone lines are out of order and when they are working the cut off after 10 mins and 31 seconds, one day I grew a beard waiting for them to answer and when they do (a week ago ) they give you the runaround! fine when they get compliments but when they get a negative review like this you will be ignored. The whole experience with Direct Sight was a total disgrace! And it is still not resolved. perhaps it is to do with their position at Companies House, CHECK YOURSELVES ! before you part with your cash! Company status Active — (Active proposal to strike off) Company Type Private limited Company Incorporated on 6 February 2020 (Accounts overdue) Next accounts made up to 28 February 2023 due by 30 November 2023 Last accounts made up to 28 February 2022 Sorry I cannot trust them to run a business let alone treat their customers correctly ! Date of experience: April 30, 2024 PHOTOS OF THE FOUR PAIRS ,TWO IN BOXES BUT WRONG PRESCRIPTION ! Argue ? Oh Yeah they love arguing ! Just be warned and go elsewhere,”
