“Overall I had a good experience. As a first time homeowner there were a few minor things that I wish I would’ve noticed before closing such as the front door lock not aligned and the fridge not installed properly but other than that all went well.”
“Our experience with Eastwood was almost perfect. The only thing we were disappointed with was our yard. We chose a nice, flat lot. After we chose the lot we were informed it would have to be regraded. The regrading left the yard with a slant that goes up from left to right and a large dip on the right end, making one side of the yard pretty unusable. We have had fence installers come out for an estimate and they've all commented about putting up a fence in that area. It will either have to flow with the way the yard is, which would leave the fence sitting pretty low on one end, and leave no privacy from one neighbor, or they can make the fence go straight across, but it would leave large gaps at the bottom that would somehow need to be covered. We expressed our concerns about the yard immediately after the regrading, but no changes were made to level it back to how it looked when we selected the lot. We understand there needs to be proper drainage, but our yard went from a great lot to an eye sore. Drainage could have been accomplished without such a large incline.”
“Process of offer negotiations, repairs, and closing went pretty smoothly for the most part.
Staff was very friendly and reasonable. House quality is excellent.”
“There were a few setbacks but Eastwood was great overall! They were able to reschedule our walk through dates when I was unable to attend due to much work schedule. They made the experience much less stressful than we expected, and I was able to be a part of everything because of their flexibility.”
“Each of the persons I came in contact with was kind and helpful. I always received responses quickly and updates weekly on the progress of the home. They always seemed to working as a team. Completion was right on time.”
“I enjoyed quite a bit of the process of moving in. I have also enjoyed dealing with everyone involved on the Eastwood side. I live in a community that is still being built while people are currently living in the completed homes. I was rather surprised to wake up a few mornings to see the labor workers leaving trash where they work. This would not be a problem if they would clean up at the end of every shift. Also be mindful of people already living in homes that were completed already.”
“Very satisfied with the house. A few problems came up during the building process but all the contractors are human too and is to be expected. The main thing that was a disappointment was the way the design center options were set up. Whole house packages aren't what we wanted for everything, and wish there was more picking and choosing available. For example, we only wanted white cabinets in the kitchen but would've been happy with the level 1 base cabinets in the bathrooms. And the paint options...why is there not white in the level 1?! Having to go all the way up to level 3 and spend nearly $3,000 just to get the ceilings white is ridiculous. Just put white everywhere so the ceilings can be done when we move in.”
“We thoroughly enjoyed the building process with Eastwood and can’t say enough great things about the professionalism and friendliness of the staff we had the pleasure of working with, specifically Chris and Candace. The only reason we cannot give a five star review is the corners that were cut in the cleaning process prior to closing. As we’ve gotten settled in our home we have noticed there is paint on every light fixture in the closets, hallways, laundry rooms and bathrooms. When we went to paint ourselves, we couldn’t get tape to stick to the trim because of excessive amounts of drywall dust that wasn’t cleaned. The little window above the front door alone had about a quarter inch of dust caked on it. There were also scuff marks on our kitchen cabinets and dishwasher that I pointed out during our final walk throughs prior to closing that I was told would be taken care of by the cleaners and they weren’t. Overall, just more attention to detail would be appreciated in the future.”
“Overall we are very happy with our new home, it is beautiful, comfortable and pleasant. Working on issues that have to be resolved, they promised to resolve them.
The closing is a different story, it took a lot longer than it shoud have, they gave us a packet with house keys, no explanation of the paperwork in the packet, mail box key was not included. It would have been nice if some one from Eastwood homes was present to go through the packet pointing things out of interest that are relevant to warranty, or registering the things that have to be registered.
If we had to do it again, we would. The people of Eastwoodhomes are great, helpful informative.

Since closing 3 weeks ago, we have had some questions and things come up where we have not had as great service. Responses take several hours or even days, and we have a few small issues we are trying to get worked out with the builder. Overall, our experience was enjoyable and I would recommend to others.”

“Our construction was running nearly 3 weeks behind schedule. We desperately needed to close that gap to avoid a double move. Our construction manager was able to reduce the delay enough to squeeze us into the needed timeframe and close the gap to 2 weeks and we avoided a costly double move.”
“We have been in our home a little over a week. We are enjoying it immensely. Our only disappointment is the lawn. Lots of weeds and a very poor base of grass but we are working to correct it.”
“We love our home and we’ve received lots of compliments on the aesthetics. Our builder has been very pleasant toward us, but he seems too busy and we feel like we’re always bothering him if we need him and it’s like he is in a very big hurry all the time. We’ve called for the paint to be fixed and the painters came out a second time, but there are still several mistakes. Overall, we think it’s a beautiful home. We just hope all of these little mistakes will be repaired.”
