Dear Eastwood Homes, whilst I understand your need to utilize every vacant plot and put up more buildings. Please be cognizant of the people already living here! Get that porter potty out the street on Swallowtail and keep the clutter out. We will appreciate that. Thank you. This is at Landings at Montague currently..

Many of the features in our new home are nice but problems have come to light since we moved in 3 months ago. We have been unable to get either the builder or Eastwood to take care of anything! They all say they will handle the problem and we never hear from anyone. We have a few windows that aren't square so blinds won't fit. The builder did address that problem, we were told that unless you buy a million dollar Eastwood Home that you can't expect square windows. Those were his exact words! Other issues to our 3 month old home are cracked concrete in the garage and patio, uneven drywall, uneven tile in the master bath shower that doesn't drain so we get mold, leaky outdoor faucets, lack of installation in the attack, short somewhere in the wiring in the hall and front bedrooms (electric company told us the breaker would stop a fire and never showed up to do anything), problem with drain in master shower. I'm sure I'm leaving things out. We thought Eastwood was a good builder and they talked a great game until we closed when they disappeared.

If you are a detail oriented person, Eastwood Homes may not be for you. I made the unfortunate mistake of purchasing a townhome during the 1st phase of a new community in the Charlotte area. This unit has issues that are not normal, which many of the other newer units did not have. The vendors constantly block access to my property and neither the onsite agents nor the HOA will fight for your right to quiet enjoyment. And honestly, I bought a home to be left alone!. Eastwood Homes is not a bad builder. I have definitely seen worse. But my experience so far hasnt been great. My advice to you, DO NOT BUY EASTWOOD IN THE FIRST PHASE. They make mistakes that they will not fix. And they will use access to your property while completing construction.

I could go on and on about how Eastwood’s homes have had me on a emotional roller coaster, but I don’t have that kind of time.

I came into a spec home that has had numerous basement issues. That being said, Eastwood has been amazing and prompt at fixing each issue or at least getting things started.

The customer service from Eastwood Homes is outstanding. Robert, Bryan, and Amanda are true professionals and are great to work with. The quality of the construction is average. My wife and I worked with three builders since 2003 to build new homes and the quality of the construction at 616 Winter Walk Lane is by far the worst. As an example, very few of the walls are straight, some of the electrical outlets are vertical and some horizontal, and the main carrying beam between the kitchen and family room is crooked.. I love the home, but that doesn’t come without flaws however. I was most displeased with the fact that carpet was installed way to early and therefore the quality of all the carpet in the house has been diminished by obvious wear. You can easily tell that workers were wearing shoes/boots inside anytime they had to do work on the walls, painting, etc. The fibers are matted down and even drywall plaster, spackle can still be found in the carpet today. There was two spots on the carpet where it appears a space heater was used and it melted the fibers of the carpet. It would also have helped to shampoo the carpet before handing the keys to owners because of this issue. I also had issues with not having repairs made in the home that was either caused by poor workmanship or less than quality cabinetry. I had specifically requested two drawer faces to be replaced at least 1 month before closing and this never happened. I actually had to wait over a week after closing to have this done. Lastly, the cleaning crew overlooked areas in the kitchen (sticky residue on cabinet surfaces) and along the baseboard where drywall dust was still present. I understand my home was one of many that were set to close on the same day as others, but quality over quantity is extremely important. Furthermore, I would suggest sodding the entire yard, it doesn’t make sense to sod to the rear of the home and then stop, thus forcing a new homeowner to pay more money to have grass in the backyard. It takes away from the joy of enjoying the home in its entirety, inside and out. Thanks for your attention. I love the home, but things like these need to be addressed.

Don't get us wrong, we absolutely love the house, but there are so many things that were contracted out that was done very very poorly. We were told things would be fixed and done, but have not been. Once we closed on the house its like we have been tossed to the side and don't matter anymore. The whole house was painted horribly. Our grass looks like crap and was not finished to what we were told it would be when we moved in. So many small items were missed because no one took their time to come back and make sure nothing was missed. Or things were done so fast that they did what they had to do and that was it. We don't appreciate that we paid for this house and it was poorly slopped together.

Kelly Bone is great and so helpfully. They only little thing I have to complain about is the little details, Bathroom no towel rack, or toilet holder. No lights in the bedrooms

It is a beautiful home, but we are still waiting for basic items from our pre-settlement punch list to be completed - three sliders on the cabinet drawers need to be replaced/switched to the soft close we paid for, we haven't received touch-up glaze for the cabinets (which are already chipping), the master bath shelves to be fixed, the master window screen needs to be replaced, and the top windows in the living room aren't clean. We closed three weeks ago and would love to have these items taken care of asap!

The process itself was extremely smooth, it's after you move in when the problems come. We feel lied to by Eastwood Homes. Warranty department sucks!

Design Center experience was a rushed experience. Never knew we would have a drainage corridor/runoff in our backyard. We have been very happy with the builder Thomas and how each warranty repair problem was followed up and fixed.

The only bad thing I have to say about the experience is getting the things corrected that we saw on our final walk thru it's been a solid week since we have closed and some of the ideas we signed off on were promised to be completed asap but it has been a week and I have to call and chase our contractor down to find out when the things I signed off on will be completed and it is never a straight answer and I feel that I am going to have to involve a manager to get things done. On the other hand the contractors assistance has been very helpful but he doesn't control the scheduling so it is hard for him to get the jobs done but he does stay in contact with us about every other day with an update
