When you first look at a new house, you just don’t see all the things until you go cleaning and then all of a sudden you realize how crappy the fit and finishes on so many things. Window seals, etc. have no finish to the edges. They’re raw wood that have never even been sanded. The paint and the texture of the walls is horrible. You can’t even clean the walls without the paint coming completely off, I have nail pop ups everywhere so many that it’s ridiculous to even try to fix them ..hundreds . The overall house I love I love the design but the quality behind the walls and the furnishings is just subpar to say the least and these houses are getting more and more expensive. You just expect more out of a house that cost so much they had to come out and completely redo my stairs because they were so goofed up in the corners Where they had put all this caulking and paint and stain it look like my stairs had cancer growing out of the corner of them . So my suggestion is to really look at your walls and your finishes before you sign on the dotted line and make sure they fix all that stuff corners of my walls have just frayed a part and nobody even touches them. It’s like they’ve turned into cardboard on the corners.. and this happened within my warranty time, and the guy that came out to look at other things I needed insisted that I had bumped up against it, and I promise you that is not the case. My laundry room frame at the top of the door on both sides of the wall have a crack going from the corner to the ceiling diagonally and they won’t cover that that happened within two years of living here.. so I am just giving you fair warning of things to check out before you commit things that you just might turn a blind eye to when you’re looking because you’re overwhelmed like I was but when you really get in there and start looking, you will realize the textures of things were not finished and very rough.

I love all the staff and the floor plan. What disappoints me is that I have to seal the granite and the grout and paint the garage. All of the houses that I bought had all three finished. The grout as sealed by the tile persons. The granite was sealed by the installer. And the painters sprayed the garage interior. Why am I paying to "finish" work? Other than that It's been great.

Everything is great Just wish they would offer to sod the backyard before you move in and keep a fence up if the lot is vacant besides you Mud pit without sod

Only problem I've had is getting ahold of the HOA to pay my fees. Have made multiple attempts and have had no luck

Process of offer negotiations, repairs, and closing went pretty smoothly for the most part. Staff was very friendly and reasonable. House quality is excellent.

The home we chose was a model already under construction, so we weren't able to choose any options. We like the options chosen overall. The plans we were given showed the stairs made of wood. They carpeted instead. The builder credited is the cost to do it, which is fine. I just would've preferred not to have a contractor do it after the fact. We've only been in the home 3 days, but are loving it so far. My wife didn't like the guy doing the walkthrough because he was irritated with her, the realtor and my mother in law. Travis was great. The women were busy talking about decorating so he was understandably annoyed when they asked questions on things he already explained. I only bring this up because she filled out the review at the closing and of she gave him a negative review, it was unwarranted.

Everything about my experience with purchasing a Eastwood Home was amazing, the staff members were all great, the only problems I had were at closing and finalizing my contract. The lawyers that Eastwood Homes used at closing are the worst I have ever worked with, they made a mistake with sending out a payout and tried to blame me for the mistake, along with unprofessional name calling. At the time I wrote out my contract I felt as if I was being penalized because I did not use Eastwood Homes preferred lenders, I know if you use them you are offered certain things, but don't make the customer feel pressured because they have been preapproval with a different lender, they actually took a few things off of my contract that was originally offered because I was not using their lenders. But overall, from the builders, administration staff, and the sales woman at Parkview Estates everyone was amazing and it minimized the awful experience I had with writing the contract and at closing. I would still recommend them to anybody, its a great place to live!!!

Overall I had a good experience. As a first time homeowner there were a few minor things that I wish I would’ve noticed before closing such as the front door lock not aligned and the fridge not installed properly but other than that all went well.

The house is solid and energy efficient. However, the fit and finish is less than stellar and could be improved.

I enjoyed quite a bit of the process of moving in. I have also enjoyed dealing with everyone involved on the Eastwood side. I live in a community that is still being built while people are currently living in the completed homes. I was rather surprised to wake up a few mornings to see the labor workers leaving trash where they work. This would not be a problem if they would clean up at the end of every shift. Also be mindful of people already living in homes that were completed already.

Our construction was running nearly 3 weeks behind schedule. We desperately needed to close that gap to avoid a double move. Our construction manager was able to reduce the delay enough to squeeze us into the needed timeframe and close the gap to 2 weeks and we avoided a costly double move.

Thank you to all that helped us along our home buying journey. From the financing to the actual building of the house, things ran smoothly and we were kept informed along the way. One minor hiccup with the grading of our back yard. There was standing water a few days before closing. On the day after closing, the sod and yard company came out to continue to fix and drove a machine over the sod creating a mess. But Tory our project manager has been awesome and is working to get the sod repaired or replaced. Outside of this, seamless! And our home is beautiful and fits our needs! Thank you Eastwood.

Overall our building/buying process with Eastwood was pretty simple. We purchased the spec home half way through the building process, so there wasn't many changes allowed, which made the process really easy. All of our concerns were addressed in a timely manner and the home was finished on time! I'd certainly recommend Eastwood builders and would build with them again in the future.

Eastwood did a great job of keeping us updated throughout the process, and they completed the home a few days ahead of schedule. Our sales agent and builder contact were both very responsive and helpful. There were a few little things that needed attention, but the construction was good overall. There was a little lack of flexibility with a few upgrades/changes we wanted to make, which is why I rated it 4 stars instead of 5, but as a whole we are very satisfied!

Nice curb appeal with Stacked Stone and cementitious siding. Nice interior with wide trim, hardwood/carpet floors, brushed nickel...and good sized rooms, including closets (exception: laundry). The 3 car garage is just sufficient, +2 ft in length and width would make a big difference in usability, especially the length limitations mandated by placement of “bollard”, a concrete filled steel pole required by code to protect hot water heater/main water supply from vehicle impact. Tankless water heater and relocation of main water supply would solve this restriction (2015 Honda Accord will not fit). Ceiling fans (or at least light fixtures), and automatic garage door openers should be standard!

We love our home and we’ve received lots of compliments on the aesthetics. Our builder has been very pleasant toward us, but he seems too busy and we feel like we’re always bothering him if we need him and it’s like he is in a very big hurry all the time. We’ve called for the paint to be fixed and the painters came out a second time, but there are still several mistakes. Overall, we think it’s a beautiful home. We just hope all of these little mistakes will be repaired.

We had some hiccups with a preinspection and a few issues afterwards that we're more than we expected a new home to have. There were/are also some cospetic defects and "never completed" parts of the build that leave you wishing it was more polished, such as tile grout sections missing & gaps, cabinets separating from the walls, bath tubs not secured to anything, etc... So far things are being addressed at our schedule so I can't take less than a star off. Overall were pleased and very excited to be in our new home. All the issues were having are new to us as new home buyers, but they're not major.

There were a few setbacks but Eastwood was great overall! They were able to reschedule our walk through dates when I was unable to attend due to much work schedule. They made the experience much less stressful than we expected, and I was able to be a part of everything because of their flexibility.
