Company is a joke. "NOT LIABLE FOR FLIGHT DELYAS, NO REFUND FOR NOT SHOWING UP AT TIME OF YOUR RENTAL, SORRY" I emailed them as soon as I knew of delay flying out of US to Germany DO NOT use this outfit for car bookings. Carrentals.com is much more customer friendly.

NEVER USE THIS SITE!! I would highly recommend going with a different company. I have travelled and rented cars in over 15 countries and never experienced anything like this. I paid online 2 months in advance. When arriving at the airport I was told I hadn’t paid and the company had scammed me. The women at fox rentals at the airport then said I should call and cancel the booking as I’ve been scammed. When I called the original company (economy bookings) the women on phone proceeded to tell me she couldn’t hear me and hung the phone up and then wouldn’t answer the phone after. I had to pay over $800 cash from a different company at the airport for a different car. Don’t think this won’t happen to you, they may offer cheap prices but you’re better off going directly with a company from the airport!!! Just to note: When I tried to review on their website I wasn’t allowed because apparently my ‘booking doesn’t exist’ even though I have email receipts and their bank details from the original booking. Awful awful awful company should be shut down! Only gave a 1 star review because you can’t leave no stars!!!

🚨 Warning about Economybookings 🚨 I had a terrible experience with Economy Bookings. I booked a car to pick up at El Calafate Airport (Argentina). At the counter, they refused to give me the car because I didn’t have a credit card. However, this requirement was never mentioned during the booking process or in the confirmation email. I contacted customer service, but they refused to issue a refund, claiming it was in the "terms & conditions." This shows a lack of transparency and poor customer support. ❗ Think twice before booking with them. If they fail to provide clear and essential information, you might lose your money as I did. The rudest customer service I've experienced. I cancelled a booking that was worth 702. I then booked another car which was advertised as around 250. The credit remaining on my account was a little under 300. When I called customer service to understand this discrepancy the woman said it was something to do with the policy of the car company but couldn't tell me what the price I had paid was for the car and when I asked for clarification she started talking to me in a slow, irritated and patronising voice then got angry with me and told me she needed to speak to me slowly because I couldn't understand her explanation the first time and not to interrupt her. When I asked her not to be rude she said if I interrupted her one more time she would hang up the call. What lovely people employed there. Would never use them again

There are hidden fees everywhere when I asked for my money back they told me I was a liar and I didn't see it. I actually screen-captured it. Then the refund doesn't come to you completely it goes into a credit with them and you have to talk to the people that don't want to help in the first place so you can get your money back for good. It is so annoying! I would give them 0 stars but I can't do less than 1. Of course they retain the cancellation fee even when I told them that it was unfair because they hid the real price.

COMPLETE SCAM! They offer cars they do not have stock of and then automatically book you alternate other (more expensive) cars without your consent. Their phone number only connects sometimes and half the people on the other end are rude and unhelpful. Wasted too much time trying to book with them and then even more time trying to cancel.

Oh 😲 They offer you a 10% discount to basically rip you off your reservation, Money, Holliday, and your valuable time !! 😒😒 At the time of vehicle pick up the rental company basically didn't honor the reservation and just gave me a non working phone# to call!? They also work with cheapest worst rental companies like Thrifty and so on !? They basically ruined my Thanksgiving and $286 paid rental charge!! Customer support refused a refund and I could barely understand what he said!?Heavy accent with poorly spoken English!!😒 They love providing no services while get paid fo it!? Definitely ripping you off!?

We booked a hire car through Economy Bookings in August 2023. The company they supplied the car through was Drivalia. We encountered numerous problems with the car throughout the trip. The car was low on oil, overdue for a service by 23,000km, had no spare tyre, two of the tyres were illegal and two were just on the legal limit of tread. One of the tyres had already been patched with a spray on patch and it ended up with a hole in it. After almost 18 months we have still received no satisfactory resolution to this issue and it is impossible to speak to a person. No one even bothers to answer our emails now. They just keep telling us they are looking into the matter. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Untrustworthy, unreliable, unsupported claim of 'no show' No vehicle available when I turned up for collection. No evidence provided of the booking. No car provided. No refund provided, based on allegation of ‘no show’. Poor client service. No complaints procedure. Avoid this company at all costs

THEY SCAMMED ME FOR AUD 591.92 ON SEPTEMBER 26 We booked an SUV on the EconomyBookings website, where it was clearly stated that the car came with “unlimited kilometers” (I have screenshots to prove this). However, when we arrived at the airport to pick up the car, Europcar informed us that they had received different information, stating that the car was limited to 100 km per day according to their system—completely different from what was agreed upon on the EconomyBookings reservation. So, we decided to cancel the reservation as it was only logical. After about 20 attempts, we finally reached EconomyBookings by phone to resolve the issue and request a refund. The representative told us she could NOT help and that we needed to submit a complaint via email, which I did the SAME DAY. We received an email saying we would get a response within 10 business days. Two and a half weeks later, there was still no response, and their phone number was unreachable. OVER A MONTH LATER, STILL NO RESPONSE. I then set aside a morning to try calling them again. I finally reached someone who told me they STILL COULD NOT HELP, to which I insisted they escalate the matter to the responsible team, warning that if there was no response within a few days, I would file a complaint. Finally, I received an email on Monday, October 28—what a message! A certain Kerry from EconomyBookings informed me that they would not issue a refund, claiming they were “not informed of my inability to pick up the vehicle”?? This is probably the biggest joke I’ve ever heard! Kerry even sent this email in response to the very email I sent on September 26! How could they possibly say they weren’t informed? I replied to this email, providing all phone records and screenshots showing I had emailed them on the SAME DAY AS THE RESERVATION. Still today, two weeks after Kerry’s email, I have received NO RESPONSE. I have no choice but to alert the ACCC, file a complaint with Europcar, and consider filing a complaint with the police as well. DO NOT USE ECONOMYBOOKINGS. Theo W Booking Number: B98659374

Be very careful about their cancellation policy! They advertise a free within 1hr of booking cancellation however I learned 2 ways they take your money anyway! 1- they do not give your money back, they only give you an e wallet credit, which you need to register for! 2- you cannot update the booking if your schedule changes. When I called to make changes I was told to cancel my booking via the app and rebook according to my need plans. I did this but this uses your “free 1hr cancellation” you cannot cancel again or they make you pay twice! Completely and whole heartedly disappointed that I ever got to know economy bookings. I will wait till I get to the airport to book my vehicle rental because that will always be cheaper then paying twice!

As a senior contributor to Trip Advisor I am posting warnings everywhere and filing a complaint to BBB. These people are insensitive and rude when I requested a refund due to the hurricane. American Air & the hotel gave full refunds but this company would not even agree to give me a credit. They are narrow sighted and a typical company where we are not even allowed to speak a supervisor. There are many companies to choose from!!

DON'T BOOK A RENTAL CAR FROM THEM!! I booked a rental car through this company, and on the pick-up day, my flight was delayed. The shuttle pick-up location was unclear, so I missed the shuttle. After paying for an extremely expensive taxi to the rental company, I arrived only to find they had already closed. I couldn’t pick up the car and was left without transportation to my pre-booked accommodation, which I couldn’t cancel or get refunded. I ended up having to stay at a nearby hotel, which was very costly. The entire experience was frustrating and helpless. To top it off, Booking Group even sent me a fake agreement and invoice, different from the one I received from the rental company. Please note they will be pleased to post below info if you request a refund: No refund will be issued in the event of a No-show that is considered as: 1. Failure to collect a car without prior cancellation,– no refund will be issued. 2. Failure to collect a car at the date and time provided in the Confirmation voucher. 3. Failure to bring all necessary documentation (voucher, driving license/s, passport etc) requested by the Supplier (information is provided in the rental conditions). 4. Failure to bring a credit card under the main driver’s name stated on the booking with enough available funds for the car’s security deposit being blocked upon arrival. 5. Renter being blacklisted on the Supplier’s system. 6. No refund will be applied for unused hours or days. If you want to avoid major losses and keep your peace of mind, here’s a warning: Do NOT rent a car from them—you’ll regret it!

I had a booking from October 23rd, 2024, to October 29th, 2024, which is currently active as I write this review. I strongly urge everyone reading this to avoid booking through economybooking.com. They expect customers to thoroughly read every detail of their terms and conditions. After you make a booking, they disclose that you may not receive unlimited mileage, and you might need to purchase additional insurance to validate the coverage provided by economybooking.com. Although the document states that the payment at pick-up is 0.00, when you contact them, they respond with, "Just as you paid the deposit, you will have to pay for the extra insurance too." This results in the total cost being more than double the initial booking price. As I was on a company budget, I requested to cancel the booking, but they refused, stating that I had missed the cancellation window. Now, the extra charges paid to the car rental will be deducted from my salary. As an avid traveler who values honest reviews, I urge you to be cautious with this site—you may end up feeling scammed. The terms and conditions are so misleading that you won’t discover the hidden costs until after you’ve paid. Please think twice before booking with economybooking.com.

Short version: -No customer service -Shady business practices -Don't be fooled by the good prices Long version: I cancelled my rental once I realized that the customer service is inexistent. They refused to refund me. They pocketed 64$ for absolutely nothing. Hiding behind terms and conditions when they don't even answer calls.
