Worst customer service, and hidden fees are ridiculous. operator hanged the phone and now they want to charge me even do I was never able to cancel this transaction because they cut communication. I will not recommend this site or any sites associated with this company

Hands off! We experienced a overcharge of 30% compared to the "first" voucher from the booking group for a car rental on Sardinien in April 2025. They fail to explain the surcharge even after 8 emails with details of the overcharge. Never ever book through them again.

Economy Bookings has provided the worst customer service I have experienced in my 70 years on the planet. Email responses give a complete run around and their phone number is just a set of recordings - no way to speak to a human being. They are holding $2900 Cdn in my e-wallet and will not help me to withdraw. Avoid this company!

Terrible customer service. They gave my car away even when they knew my plane was running late. There is a good chance that Economy Bookings will not have a car for you. They had my flight number, took my deposit, and when I got to the airport late at 1 pm my car was already given away. I was told someone was going to help and call me back, but the agent never called back. I waited for 2 hours at the airport with my family. They will use any and every excuse and fine print to take your money without giving you a rental. Will never use them again. As I was waiting, I heard 2 other families complain about taking a shuttle to the company only to be told they had no more cars.

No car was available when we arrived at our destination to pick up the car. EconomyBookings.com made all sorts of ridiculous excuses why they couldn’t give me a refund. I had to make alternative arrangements with a different hire company to get a car at additional expense. Fortunately for me the bank gave me a refund because it was obviously a scam when I provided them all the evidence. DO NOT USE ECONOMYBOOKINGS.COM. Not only will you lose your money but you’ll waste a lot of time making alternative arrangements for a hire car at your destination.

Heartless Customer Service During a Personal Tragedy I made a reservation with EconomyBookings.com knowing it was nonrefundable. However, I recently lost my mother—a devastating and unforeseen event—and understandably, I no longer wish to take this trip. I reached out to the company to request a cancellation, hoping for either a refund or at the very least, a credit toward a future rental. They responded that the reservation would be canceled, but they refused to refund any amount or offer credit, despite the exceptional and heartbreaking circumstances. Even worse, when I asked for the matter to be escalated to upper management, my request was completely ignored. I understand policies exist for a reason, but compassion and basic human decency should also be part of customer service. It's disheartening that they have chosen to hide behind policy rather than acknowledge a grieving customer with empathy. I'm posting this not just out of frustration, but in the hope that someone with decision-making authority sees this and reconsiders how they treat customers during deeply personal and difficult times. A little understanding goes a long way.

Terrible Experience – Avoid at All Costs I had a very disappointing experience with EconomyBookings. My flight landed on time, but there was a short delay while the aircraft was waiting for a gate, so I arrived at the rental office at 11:02 PM. Despite having called the day before to let them know we might be a few minutes late, and being assured they would wait until 11:20 PM, the office was already closed when I got there. No one was there, no way to contact them, nothing. Stranded at the airport in the middle of the night, we had to scramble to find an alternative car rental. When I later requested a refund, they refused, falsely claiming it was a “no-show.” This is simply unacceptable, especially after being told they would wait. Unreliable, dishonest, and completely lacking in customer service. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Booked car online with a specified fee. Arrived to find I had to pay extra for insurance, which was not outlined in their initial price. Had to cancel booking as a result, with no refund. The low price they quote will not be the price you have to pay. Third-party agency that is difficult to deal with and best avoided.

Horrible service picking up the car. There were no cars available so there were many angry customers. The one girl helping was extremely rude on top of it. I took a smaller car than I initially paid for in the end. Got home and was charged an additional $116 for collision insurance that I never agreed to but somehow ended up on the final receipt. To get an answer that they will not refund me has taken 3 weeks! I will never EVER book with this shady company again.

My experience with your company has been nothing short of appalling. On March 3, 2025, I made a reservation for a vehicle rental through your service, scheduled for pickup on March 20, 2025, in Puerto Rico. Upon arrival at the Route Car Rental location, I encountered absolute chaos—more than 30 frustrated customers had already been waiting for over three and a half hours due to a complete lack of available vehicles. The scene was disorganized and tense, with no clear communication or accountability from the staff. The employee at the counter simply informed me that they had no cars available and no estimate for when any would become available. The environment was hostile and deeply uncomfortable, and it was evident the company had drastically overbooked beyond their capacity to deliver. This was, without a doubt, the worst customer experience I have ever had. Forced to find an alternative solution, I had to pay for an Uber to reach my destination. The following day, I contacted Economy Booking to report the situation. Despite providing a full explanation and submitting the cancellation document from the car rental agency, I was told my case would be reviewed. Since March 21st, I have been waiting for a resolution—only to be informed today that my claim was denied. Let me be clear: I had no control over the situation. I arrived on time, fulfilled my end of the agreement, and was met with disarray and a complete failure to provide the service that was promised. For my claim to be dismissed without proper acknowledgment of the circumstances is both insulting and unacceptable. This entire experience has been deeply frustrating, embarrassing, and frankly, feels like a scam. I demand immediate reconsideration of my case and escalation to a supervisor or senior representative who can take appropriate action. I expect a prompt response and a fair resolution.

Tried to rent a car via Economy Bookings in Taiwan. Service is awful, could not get to make a minor change in the reservation and than could not get proper reply and the 100% money refund, as claimed in the cancelling policy

I had a very disappointing experience with EconomyBookings. After renting a car, despite multiple requests, I did not receive the correct VAT invoice, which is required for transactions between businesses within the EU. The company initially claimed they do not issue VAT invoices, even though, according to EU regulations, I am entitled to one. Despite several reminders, I did not receive any satisfactory response or resolution. I do not recommend using this company if you need proper documentation for business purposes – their customer service is very poor, and their procedures are unclear.

I rented a car and windshield got cracked by a rock that flew of a semi trucks tire. Put in the insurance claim and it's been a month.and still no refund. Can't get ahold of anyone. Send multiple email to get an update and nothing. Send an email to let them know I was getting an attorney to resolve this matter and still can't get a response.
