I would give a 0 if I could. Do not use!! Booked a car for Japan, paid $1600 upfront. It was all conformed. Then when we arrived in Japan they told us we couldn't hire the car as we didn't apply for and get an I international drivers liscense from our own country of residence. They never mentioned this would be a require.ent when we made the booking and paid full price. We were stuck in Japan with our young family with ko transport. I requested a refund and it took over 3 weeks to get a response to say no. Also no credit. Poor service and communication. They do not have your best interest at heart. Would not recommend!!!!

Worst company ever. On arrival in Alicante Europcar told me that I had booked as a US citizen, while I am European. So they chargerd me 300€ extra. I refused and now Bookinggroup is threathening me to pay a no show up fee. Scammer!!!!

I would like to warn all customers of this website, which is operated by a group of swindlers and scammers. This is what happened to me during my visit to Bosnia, where I made a reservation, paid 100 euros, and requested the car at Sarajevo Airport. When I arrived there, I did not find anyone in the company with which the car was reserved, and I had to visit them in the morning. They assured me that there was no reservation and that this company had a lot of problems with us. When I contacted them trying to recover the amount paid, they told me that I could not do that because it was my fault, and this is of course a reason to laugh. Unfortunately, I did not find a headquarters for them or any office for their cases, so I warn everyone against dealing with these people. Scammers

I found this site through search on google for car rental in Dubai rented a car for 11 days through this Pakistani guys I asked this question why did they do a purchase for the deposit instead of a purchase authorisation now beware this is how they get you and got me I lost money booking through them when I returned the car I asked the guy to check the car he was happy and said yes car is clean then I get told after numerous texts messages with the Pakistani guy which I have proof was noticed that I have to pay 100$ aud for cleaning the car which is a load of bull as the car was clean then I get told I have to pay 20 aed as religion tax well in a nutshell they have your own money as they have done a purchase for the deposit the money has left your account you are on the mercy what they will refund you and they are complete scammers as when they ripped me for the money the left over money I said put it back in my card they replied no so sent through western union so cost me. More money they charged me religion tax 100$ aud to wash a car which car rental which I have used car rentals in numerous charges you to wash the car none do all the proper companies none of them charge you I rented the car through hertz the next country and I asked them do you want me to wash the car before I return it they said no we don’t want you to wash the car pls this company might look cheap when you book pls stay away and this is a real feedback I have texts messages proof about what the car rental Pakistani guys charged me it is a rip off and I will warn every single person to stay away and go to a proper company it looked sus to start with I should have known they don’t have any offices in Dubai when I turned up the Pakistani guy was standing in the car park with a car which looked odd to me and should have just stopped and not went Ahead with them big mistake when I asked him for the car deposit why are you putting through a purchase while every car rental company all over world does only purchase authorisation he said that’s the way they do and if I don’t like it they are not gonna refund anything stay away is my advise

You're not saving any money using this website. Rental cars are offered when they are not actually available. To get a refund is a horrible experience. Save yourself the hassle.

TRULEY ABSOLUTE SCAM! Theyre advertised customer serv 0800 for NZ is not a registered no. Does not work?! You can not get through to them, you book and naturally have to giv a credit card no. which they all of a sudden took money out of my account, also they booked the wrong date to what Id put in my booking, tried to contact them, they EVENTUALLY sent me an auto email saying due to my cancelling at short notice (24hours) they will be keeping my money, I CANCELLED a month before the dates I was due to pick hire car up! TRUST ME this is a very very dogey site, do NOT use BOOKING.GROUP. They are not based in NZ. TOTAL SCAM!!!!

Avoid. It just scammed me. When I booked my car rental, it stated the booking comes with free cancellation. When I cancelled my booking, it only gives credit in account, not refund. When withdraw credit, it charged me €60. This is not free cancellation as promised. This is in effect a scam.

DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. The worst customer support I ever saw. The plane was delayed 3 hours (not my fault). When we arrived at Ft. Lauderdale, the counter for Dollar Rent a car was closed. (NEVER RENT FROM DOLLAR). I can’t reach Dollar Rent a car. They have no working number, only a machine (954-377-8550). When I login to Dollar I get a message saying I can’t confirm or change anything since the reservation was made thorough Economy Bookings…. To contact their office. I called your ECONOMYBOOKINGS, rep would not help at all. All I wanted was to know if I can go back to the airport to pick up the car. Their rep will not answer this one simple question. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY TO RENT A CAR.

AVOID this company at all costs! As someone who books rental cars frequently and has never had any issues before, i was appalled by the service at Economybookings. Unhelpful staff, vague confirmation e-mail that was missing significant information (I was 15mins late to collect my car from the airport and Hertz was closed, turns out it closes at 8pm, and if you book directly with HERTZ they of course tell you this, but not this agency, they don't care - they take your money and run!) they do not have any out office numbers, and have the 'computer says no' mentality. Encourage anyone to spend thier money elsewhere...

I booked a car through Economy Bookings (car was through Alamo). When I arrived after flight delay, Alamo had booked my car and had no other cars available. Although I prepaid for rental, apparently Economy Bookings holds onto money until car is picked up (not something they inform customer of). They have refused to give me a refund or even a credit, even though they did not lose any money...instead the are stealing mine.

Booked through EconomyBookings a set up through Europa. When I arrived Europa was going to charge €53 A DAY for insurance. Would accept no credit care or information from my insurance company. Booked somewhere else and asked EconomyBookings for refund. They said at first read the “small print” which as you might expect was written to be confusing for a no -lawyer. Then after a review I posted said sorry and go to the same place I was communication with through the help section of app. How about the refund and NEVER BOOK EUROPA!!!

Ripoff, bait and switch. Showed up to pick up a car at denver airport, with Routes, and they said they couldn’t honor a Colorado drivers license, then they insisted I needed a return ticket. I told them I hadn’t bought a return ticket yet, and the Routes counter refused to rent to me. Then later , after requesting refund, they said I was a no-show, then they said I had a USA address, and they couldn’t honor. A total joke. Stay away from them.

I rented a car through Economybookings.com. On returning the car, to the rental company, I discovered a small crack in the rear left light and although I opted for Full Cover with No Excess, the rental company asked me to pay for the damage, Euro 619.50 ( yes Euro 619.50 - which I found to be way too expensive for the light, but I still paid) and they asked me to claim the refund from Economybookings.com, as this was the procedure. So, I did and claimed for reimbursement with Economybookings.com. Although in the email I received when I submitted the claim stated that I receive a reply about my case in 5 to 25 days, 50 days have passed I in spite of sending them several emails, I am still waiting in hope they refund me. This is not a way to conduct a business. I will definitely look elsewhere and avoid Economybookings.com

Economy Bookings took a $485.28 part payment for a rental with Europcar. Upon collection of the vehicle Europcar had no record of the part payment and stated that they were in no way affiliated with Economy Bookings. I then had to pay in full for the rental. Economy Bookings is a SCAM.

economybookings.com Support Reference b51013738 I am continually receiving replies from your customer support that my case is still being investigated. You are keeping all of my money - over $1200 ! Why is that ? I could understand if a compensation amount was kept for fees - but this was over 10 days rental !! The rental car company rented out the car we hired and made money - and your company is keeping our money as well !! After landing at our destination tired and weary after midnight at 2:30am (having been in transit for nearly 30hrs from Sydney, Australia to Mykonos, Greece) we arrived at the car rental office & they didn't have a car to give us !! How can they still be investigating after over 2 months with the same response every time!! Hoping customers never have a problem, because the Customer support is non existent and nothing less than an evasion tactic. *I am Extremely stressed at losing so much money !!

Economybooking is an absolute scam. I found a very attractive car rental through their website and paid thee car upfront. It turned out the rental company (Carnext in Miami, FL) required $2,500 of deposit for any rental regardless of the ca class or duration. I then cancel the rental and requested a refund from Economybooking. They sent me a notice receipt regarding my claim three weeks after. It's been five months now and I have never heard from Economybooking since then. No refund.

Scam! Dont book with EconomyBookings,3.5months later they still owe me 1500€ from the full car insurance.I sent all the documents for the claim 3.5 months ago, they said in the receipt it would take 10 business days and after emailing them 20times with no reply, calling them 4 times they cant give me any information or phone number of the insurance department.

One star is already one too many!!! I booked a car on 1 March and cancelled the same day. I immediately received a confirmation email promising a full refund within 5-21 days. It is now 125 days and more than 12 emails later. Economy are now claiming no-repayment due to Covid-19. My claim and their agreement was before the WHO declared a pandemic on 11 March and unrelated. Shameful. I shall not give up however. I am instigating legal proceedings and intend to publish concerns on as many sites as possible. intend to pursue them by all means possible... I suggest all the hundreds of others who have had similar bad treatment do the same.
