“Very pleased with the place, only a short walk to all the nice places, couldnt have asked for any more, beautifully furnished and has everything needed for a great weekend.”
“The flat was in a great location, in a lovely area. Would recommend to others and was a 'home from home'. Only way I would improve it, would be to have some more kitchen utensils, such as better pans etc. and perhaps a stock of kitchen basics, such as oil, pepper, salt etc. Otherwise a very comfortable stay.”
“The flat was the perfect location for the start of the Edinburgh marathon with easy access to the city sites either on foot or public transport for the rest of our stay. There was everything we needed to self cater and we felt comfortable and safe. We will happily use the flat when we next visit the city.”
“My family & i stayed here, very central flat, easy to get every where walking!! But buses running all the time, if you cant walk to far .The flat was well equipped so home from home, really enjoyed our time here, pleased be aware children under 18 arent allow in any of the bars that sell food? u need to go to resturants,as we found out, great place great location good value for money,”
“teh apartment is very well located for the city centre.just 15 minute walk qnd you are in the centre of Edinburgh and all of the sites.
the apartment is comfortably furnished. the layout of the apartment is good. whilst the apartment is on the ground floor there is no noise from the properties above or adjacent.
we were in edinburgh for the marathon and it was great to be able to relax at the apartment after the race.
we would definitely recommend the apartment for anyone travelling to the city and wanting to get away from the constraints of a stay in a hotel.
we are already looking forward to our next trip to Edinburgh.”
“We enjoyed being right in the centre of all the entertainment we needed in Edinburgh. The stairs to the apartment were difficult to begin with, but it was a small price to pay to be on the Royal Mile. Great space and views. Do hope to go back soon.”
“the flat is perfect, the location also. I can recommend it to everyone who wants to visit Edinburgh and who wants to be right in the center while being very close to public transport.
The only thing that bothered us is that you have to pay one part to edinburgh flats and the damage deposit to the owner of the appartment. This works confusing and it is not practical as we experienced when we had to get a refund of the damage deposit”
“Flat was lovely and had everything we needed. It was in a central location but you had to walk up a very long hill to get to the centre. Shower at the flat wasn't very powerful and once we had booked to stay at the flat we could not find any photos or information about the flat on the Internet but luckily when we got there we liked the flat. The landlady was also very nice and helpful.”
“The flat was in an excellent, central location. The flat was quite basic - the kitchen and shower room are tiny, but totally manageable. The bed was comfy and the bedroom was decorated in a fun and slightly quirky way. It was lovely and clean, and despite it's central location, quiet.
I did feel a bit vulnerable when going in the front door as it is off the street, round the back of the building, but this is my only reservation.”
“We had a terrific stay. Only problem was that we were not given contact details in time when we left Australia and had to rush around on arrival to find an internet cafe to find your contact details to get to the apartment. In making arrangements you could ask for people's travel details so your contact information is provided earlier
thanks”
“Very central. Warm welcome. Apartment was decorated very well and had all amenities we needed. Masterbedroom was noisy at nigt though! Seal windows or something. Overall nice. Thx”
“this flat is above a pizza hut takeout, which was abit off putting when we first arrived.Once inside the flat it became clear that the owner has dogs, and they do live here and let the flat while they are not in edinburgh. The flat is well equipt with everything you need, clean beds and towels etc.stocksbridge is a lively place ,with great shops and pubs.A great place to stay just as long as you dont have any alergies to dogs.It does say not suitable for dogs ,which gives the impression that dogs are not allowed.”
“The location of the apartment is very convenient- central, and at least one bedroom is pretty quiet. In the other bedroom you hear some traffic noise and when they collect the rubbish in the morning, what happens pretty often.
The sofa in the living room is great, with nice adjustable backs.
Like stated in the description, the apartment is "Recently refurbished." Unfortunately there is not too much space to put your stuff in the bedroom, but as we were just with two people this was not a problem. A little bit unpleasant was the smell of new paint in some of the rooms.
As we are not from Scotland, the payment formality was a little bit complicated.
But all in all we can really recommend this nice and clean apartment.”
“We had an brilliant 4 days in Edinburgh. The Sainsburys local on the corner had all you needed. The position of the flat made it so easy to do all of our sight seeing on foot. I would not hesitate to return for another visit.”
“A fantastic, compact apartment in a central location. The 90ish stairs up to this attic apartment were a bit daunting but a good way of working off all the wonderful food we ate! There are great views over greyfriars and the Old Town. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was perfect for relaxing after a day's wanderings.”
“While overall the apartment was a very good one, it was unfortunately let down by one or two small things. There was no a sufficient supply of toilet paper and I do not expect to have to go out and buy that commodity when I have rented good class accommodation. Equally there were no oven gloves or hand towel for the kitchen which made things less user friendly. In addition to the lift being hors de combat on arrival and so unwise to use the whole week the dimmer switch in the lounge/dining area was broken. The visitor guide referred to a map which was not supplied and so these comments were of no practical use.
Small things maybe but they do take the gilt off the gingerbread.”
“Lots of space for 6 people, comfortable beds, very well equipped kitchen, very nice living room & big sofa! Internet and 2 plasma tv:s worked well.Bathrooms nice & clean. The location was ideal for us. Shops & take aways were near, also the park. Only 10 minutes easy walk to the Royal Mile.”
