Our stay for the Edinburgh Fringe and Book Festival were made all the more enjoyable knowing that we had a wonderful flat to wake up to and go back to in the evening.

Edinburgh Flats have a good range of accommodation and a system of choosing that helped us find a good family-friendly place to stay. They were easy to communicate with via phone and email and helpful with any queries, but there was an administration error when returning my deposit which took some time to sort out and let them down a bit. Apart from this everything went smoothly so I would recommend Edinburgh Flats and would use them to find accommodation again.

We really enjoyed the flat during our 8-day stay. The flat seemed to present a level of quality. However, after we bought in our food to cook a meal, we discovered the pots and pans were useless, loose handles, rusty and flakey teflon. That was a disappointment because it contradicted the standard of the flat, the hoover was not working good and it gave off a terrible smell, plus there was no extended tube to comfortably hoover, we suspected the carpet might be giving off a smell throughout the flat? If you are renting out a flat these are things you should invest in, e.g. quality. There was supposed to be wifi but we could not connect, we tried 50 times to type in the code that's written in the book, it never ever connected us with Internet. But apart from all that, with all these things corrected, we would stay there again, because it is a really nice flat in a great location. the beds were perfect, the view of the castle from each bedroom window is a splendid site. The bathroom and toilet was perfect. And the welcome from John and Gill with tea and biscuits was much appreciated. Regards Frank Ogilvie Based in Amsterdam

We had a few electrical hiccups but perhaps to be expected in an older property and the stair-case will keep you very fit as you put yet another pocketful of change on the parking meter to keep the wardens of your back! Otherwise a spacious place and a nice way to see the city in-keeping with traditional buildings, recomended!

nice clean flat, lots of space, cheap for the quality and location, good communication with landlord, only problem was the facilities lacked in a few basic items such as oven gloves and cooking appliances were limited, the kettle was also broken. however definitely a good stay and would recommend it.

After some initial problems with contact, the takeover was friendly, pleasant and easy. The flat was well appointed and very warm. We had a great time in Edinburgh and the high quality of the accommodation added to the pleasure of our stay. If ever we are back in Edinburgh this appartment woud be our first choice for accommodation!

A lovely apartment with a view of Arthur's Seat. Close by a bustling road with shops and bars. Very good cafe and restaurant just across the road and excellent award winning veggie restaurant just down the road. The apartment itself is bright and modern and comfortable. Great heating and hot water. The only downside is the neighbours and the entrance to the flat which resembles a grubby council block. Neighbours also had dogs and the sounds of one running about upstairs could be heard through the night.

we had a good couple of days in this centrally located flat. the flat itself is a modern 2 bedder in a new block and is comfortable and well equipped with all the basics. the main attraction is the central location in Stockbridge, itself a pleasant area with good pubs and restaurants. the flat is a short walk down the hill from the new town and has a parking space in which we were able to leave the car whilst walking to all central attractions. reccommended.

This edinburgh flat was ideal for me and my friends, meaning everyone was together which was great for socialising, only a few minutes from town in a taxi. Kitchen very clean and well stocked with crockery etc, only thing missing was a corkscrew! Beds comfy and entire flat was tidy, a little noise from the road would be the only negative.

Well presented garden flat. Central location and we didn't need to use transport as it was a pleasant walk up to Princes Street. Warm, friendly welcome. We were particularly impressed with the store cupboard essentials, fresh milk & shortbread provided. Thanks, Lorna & Mandy, for a great stay. We'll be back!

Nice decent apartment in the city center. Very close to main attractions, though not noisy at nights. We have stayed there in quite big family company and enjoyed our time.

Warm, comfortable flat close to all amenities and the Royal Mile. Local Sainsbury's 100 yards away, good second-hand bookshops opposite, superb 'real' pub free of tourists round the corner (Blue Blazer). Remarkable view of castle from kitchen! Helpful owners. I was unlucky with noise from flat above being renovated (hence vg not excellent rating), but apart from that remarkably quiet given central location.

The apartment was on excellent location and was in very good condition. I'd rate 5/5 but the water heater had to be restarted occasionally to get warm water. I can recommend.

Perfect location for seeing all that Ediinburgh has to offer. The flat is located on a quiet side street in the heart of everything - just a 5 minute walk to Grassmarket, etc. We were excited to discover two bathrooms and a clothes washer. Despite previous review, we had no problem with the Internet and were connected the whole time. Highly recommend for up to four people looking for a comfortable, well located flat in Edinburgh.
