My husband was working at the Highland Show so we needed somewhere to base ourselves (him, me and our 1 year old)for the duration of the show. The flat was in a perfect location - half way between Ingliston where the show took place and the city centre. The highland show bus also stopped right outside the flat so no need for expensive taxis or anything like that. The flat was very nice and well equipped, with a newly fitted bathroom and everything you could possibly want/need in the kitchen. It was also spottlessly clean on arrival and the owner provided us with a highchair and travel cot so we didn't need to bring that with us. Local amenities included a Tesco, several takeaways, a couple of pubs and a nice cafe across the road.

I booked this flat for my parents who were visiting me, and it could not have been a better location. They had a back exit onto the royal mile, and a front exit onto the mound. So both new town and old town were at their feet. There could not have been a better location, and they really enjoyed using the back entrance. The view was excellent. The flat was finished to a very high standard, and thoughtfully done up as well, with a well equipped kitchen. They could not stop raving about it - thank you for such a wonderful stay.

We had a very enjoyable stay in this flat. It is a stones throw from the city centre but in a beautiful, quiet street. Walking distance to both the city and the botanical gardens (which are well worth a visit). The flat is really nicely decorated and clean. We had 2 small children with us and it suited us perfectly. The only down side was the storage heaters and rattly sash windows..... but the electric heater sorted it out so that we were never cold. We will stay again....

This lovely flat in Portobello combines a stay at the seaside with easy access to all the Edinburgh attractions a short bus ride away. The flat is well stocked for self catering while there is no shortage of good local places to eat, except oddly the sea front fish 'n chip shop was not open on Satuday evening. Recommended for anyone wanting a relaxing get away with city attractions close to hand.

I was staying in Edinburgh with a friend for a weekend of shopping, sightseeing, eating and other girly treats and Davie Street was a perfect location for us. We were close to Holyrood, the Royal Mile, the castle and Grassmarket and a short taxi ride to and from Waverley station. We loved the fact it was an old Victorian school (you enter through the "Juveniles" door) and it had been very sympathetically restored with high windows, ceilings and natural light. This gave it an extra feeling of space. It was extremely modern inside with a lovely kitchen and all mod cons. We had chosen to eat out apart from breakfast time and there were two Tesco supermarkets within a 5 minute walk plus a 24 hour (I think) CO-OP only a little further down the main road for our food shopping. There were a number of local restaurants, also within a very short walk, and we ate at an Italian one night when we were too tired to go into the heart of the city. I would certainly go back and would be happy to recommend it to anyone.

The flat was ideal Everything worked efficiently and the flat was bright and warm. The location near Holyrood, Scottish Parliament,Royal Mile and Arthurs Seat made it easy to walk everywhere near city centre and leave the car nearby the flat. We enjoyed our stay and would use this flat again if it is free.

Brian, the owner met us at the Ferguson Appartment, he made us feel very welcome and was very pleasant. The appartment was a great size and had everything you needed for a home from home stay. After our long journey it was lovely that Brian had left a welcome pack this included milk, juice, shortbreads ,chocolate, tea and coffee. The appartment was in a fantastic position, a 10 minute walk took you right into Princes Street. The appartment had private parking, this was great as we parked the car and forgot about it for the weekend. We had a lovely stay and are hopeing to go back soon.

This is the first time I rented a flat for vacation and was wonderfully surprised! The apartment was great! We were minutes from everything and just hopped on the bus to go downtown. The apartment itself was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We will recommending this flat to everyone!
