I was impressed with the ease of the ordering system but disappointed with the colour of the product. They did not look anything like the colours I had chosen. Each colour looked washed out. A lot of money was spent,at least to me on a pension. Will only buy thread now that I can physically see. So sorry. Kind regards Louise Faranda

Hi Louise, Thanks for your feedback, though I must admit I am baffled as to why you thought the colours looked washed out, as Isacord is a great embroidery thread that we ourselves use as do many commercial embroiderers. This poly cotton batting does not have the softness or feel of it's American counterparts. As it was a remnant, it wasn't expensive so nothing much wasted. Might be allright for a wall hanging. The service ex JM embroideries however was exellent and the shipping happened promptly.

A little concerned they arrived uncovered, One had unravelled quite a lot. Made we wonder if they were unused, when not in protected cover. Thanks for sending them so promptly. Regards Dionne W

Hi Dionne, sorry to hear that a thread had unravelled a little, unfortunately, like many industrial threads, Madeira Classic rayons on 1000m cops do not come seal wrapped, they come without wrapping, like many of the Madeira thread products, I guess it saves them some cost, allowing them to keep the overall cost of the thread down.

I have just written on your email, will not go through, so I have to do it all again!! The cross stitch Just Married. I have a few queries. The DMC threads are not on the DMC chart. I was worrying that I may not have enough thread etc!! 02, 03, 04, 06, 07. These numbers are not on the DMC chart. Also the cross stitch for the boy,girl and balloons are "half cross stitch" which I think will look unfinished, so if I do it with complete cross stitches, I shall run out of thread! Hope all this makes sense. Regards Sandra. Hope to hear from you soon as I have started it already. I was going to tweak it myself, but hopefully I wont have to!!

Hi Sandra, Apologies, I have not seen the email, but will look in spam after sending you this message. Colours 02, 03, 04, 06 and 07 are recent additions to the DMC stranded cotton range (actually 01 through to 35). As for the kit and design, these are also made by DMC, and if they state 1/2 cross stitch, that is what they have supplied thread for in the kit and you would need to buy extra thread as required if you were going to do the design in full cross stitch. We do stock the full colour range in DMC stranded cotton, including these new additions if needed.

The prices are great, but browsing is a total nuisance as there are these stupid constant pop ups that appear from side screen telling you what someone else in Australia has just purchased, so I try just stick to shopping when I know exactly what it is I want so I can get it done quickly

Hi Janne, Unfortunately, we do not have any control over the shipping costs charged by Australia Post, especially for international parcels as your order was. This is one reason why we try and keep our item prices as low as possible, to help offset the shipping costs, that only keep going up in today's economic climate.

Purchased the Knittin Kitten. Have to say wasn’t too happy with it. The lines were not dark enough to make out where to stitch.

I was shocked and surprised by the size of the balls half the size of the balls I usually buy, and the ply was 2 ply not the usual 4 ply I use. My fault for not reading the description properly, just falling for the pretty colours. I learnt a good lesson.

Extremely happy with the price of the Insulbright that I purchased. The parcel, however, was addressed to the wrong address. Mick confirmed it had been shipped incorrectly and offered to replace the goods which I truly appreciated. In the end it was not necessary as the person who received my goods was honest and returned them to me.

I have been unable to do the piece I purchased. I thought it was for a beginner. I was under the impression that the piece I chose was printed on the material and you work it from there.

Hi Keith, Unfortunately, international postage through Australia Post is expensive, and we only charge what Australia Post charges ourselves.

Hi Kay, Sorry to see this review and the fact that your item has not arrived. We shipped your order within 1 business day, and Australia Post has let us both down in this case. Also, I am unsure why you have said poor communication, as our system always sends our an email with the tracking details and a copy of the invoice as soon as it is shipped and we have also responded to each of your emails since, according to our email audit trail.

Love that it was posted within24hrs. But unable tp review products when stuck at Seaford GPO since. Not received yet. Despite complaining three times to Aust post. Suggest you use couriers instead.

Hi Elaine, So sorry to hear that this has not yet been delivered, please keep us updated on how you go with Auspost. As for couriers, we have asked TNT to open an account for us (last week) but although they say it is a quick process, we are still waiting. Once we have that arranged, we will be able to offer TNT Express shipping.

I purchased the book "ADDI Winding Instead Of Knitting, Instructions For Addi Express Knitting Machine". Whilst the book is very informative with a lot of different knitting ideas.

While I got my order in a timely fashion, I ordered 4 difference shades of metallic silver to see which would work best for me. However there are not labels on any of the threads, there I don't know which one to order more of!

Sorry to hear that the labels have come off. We do get the occasional one like this from Gutermann, as they do not seem to use a good adhesive on the like round paper on the end of the spools. I will bring this up with the rep so they can pass it onto Gutermann. Also, if we come across any here that are missing the colour number label in future, we will write the colour number on the spool. The only ones we have seen this occasionally happen with are the sliver and Metallic Effect ranges.

Unfortunately I can't really leave a review. I placed my order on 3/1/21 and am yet to receive it! The order process was simple with great photos of products. Although I am yet to receive my order so can't say how accurate the photos are.
