I contacted customer services to look for replacement lids for butter dishes. I now have 2 perfectly good dishes but the lids are the pieces that are likely to break. I was told that you do not do replacement lids as each piece is made individually and they may not fit. Sorry I do not believe this reason -I feel it is more with not wanting to supply replacement parts to your customers as it is more lucrative to force them to buy the entire dish again. When the world is teetering on the verge of an environmental disaster - your company should be making efforts to reduce your carbon footprint instead of manufacturing unnecessary pieces which your customers do not want or need. Also in these financially hard times, you might consider this a gesture of good will to your customers to show that you listen and care about them. I can guarantee you that if I am in this situation there are many many others with similar problem.

I’ve had a plate a bowl and an egg cup holder chip break or crack in the 12 months I’ve had the set. Considering I use it for best, I think the quality is very poor. I’ve just used one of the bowls with heart design only to discover there’s now a chipped edge and a crack in it.. god knows from where as I rarely remove them from the cupboard. The egg cup which was meant to made from a durable plastic type material smashed when my 2 year old son dropped it on first use and I had a plate break in half when my husband knocked it. Absolutely shocking quality. Would never buy from them again.

Mugs i had bought from the company but rarely used all started to craze when I informed them about this problem they said that the mugs were outside the guarantee period, obviously not made to last as other pottery is. They need to look into this problem as it is usually the firing of the pot, therefore maybe the kilns need looking at

All my mugs have crazed, customer services won't replace any of them. I've been collecting since the mid 80's when the company started, the early pieces are truly collectable and this has not happened to them. Unfortunately the modern, mass produced items all craze. Everyone I know has crazed mugs and plates! Sadly I won't buy any more pieces as this is clearly a feature of them. Other pottery i collect does not craze. The items are expensive and do not last.

My experience of Emma Bridgewater tableware is that the quality does not match the price A Number of my pieces are crazed! I am very disappointed with the product.

Bridgewater do have some great designs, but sadly, the quality of the products is quite poor. We have bought a number of products over the years, including, plates, mugs, cutlery and none of it has lasted very well. At these prices, this merchandise should be lifelong purchases, to be willed to descendants! Not one item that we have purchased has endured.

My son bought me a MUMMY mug. Very nice to look at initially but very difficult to maintain cleanliness on the inside due to indentations.

Me and my family have spent about £1,500 on my EB collection over the years and items are starting to craze even though they have only been displayed on a dresser or kept in a cupboard! I have also been sent chipped, scratched, and pitted items as first quality. I love the designs but can't justify buying any more EB as it is not fit for purpose. I have second-hand plates from other British potteries that are decades old and almost as good as the day they were made. Disappointed.

My Wife has 5 Emma Bridgewater mugs. All, to varying degrees, have crazed. 2 or 3 to a point where she doesn't like to use them. As they don't look clean. Given the price of these items and the time they have had to perfect their manafacturing processes I have to say we are more than disappointed. As these are of different designs and purchased as different times it cannot be assumed that this was a faulty batch. On reading their website you need to quote order numbers etc. in order for their customer services to respond which we cannot do as these were all purchased for her as presents. I have left 1 star as no stars is not an option. Needless to say we will not be purchasing anymore products from EB. Buyer Beware!

Recently worked at your Mier Park Warehouse, got to be the most unprofessional, disappointing BORING place to work Zombies have more going on, for such a big brand name the staff turnover is off the scale, retention is HORRENDOUS

Bought a kettle (not cheap) which had a fault that didn't turn it off when it was boiled. Customer services insisted that I send it back, then wait for a replacement. It's been over two weeks that I've been without a kettle, and they've still got my money. Not sure what is happening but I'm really unimpressed with how they've handled this.

Wanted to buy x2 pretty pint mugs and was shocked to find that they charge a £1 per letter to personalise AND £2.75 not to put anything on them at all so it's impossible to buy them for the price advertised. Furthermore the 15% discount they advertise can only be used against the charge for personalising or not personalising rather than the cost of the mug. I think this borders on fraudulent. https://www.emmabridgewater.co.uk/products/personalised-polka-dot-1-pint-mug

Contacted them 3 times - completely ignored my request for information about the delivery of a birthday present haven't heard from them the silence is deafening. I work in retail and if I treated customers like this I wouldn't be employed for long. Won't ever use them again. Shame as I like to support UK companies. There is no customer service of any shape or form. Took them a week to despatch a stock item, not a personalised one. Gets embarassing as it is now a week since the recipient had her birthday and still no sign of her present. Bet this review doesn't get posted!

Sadly a jug I ordered arrived with a chipped spout. I called Emma bridgewater and immediately got through. Within three minutes a replacement was ordered for me and I didn't even have to return the broken jug. Unbelievably easy to deal with.
