“This is a review on the excellent customer service received when a mistake was made on an order. I ordered a wedding present from Emma Bridgewater and there was a delay in shipping, unfortunately this meant that the item would arrive at our home after we had left for the wedding 300 miles away. I called and explained this to the customer service representative who changed the address on the order. I received an Emily a couple of days later from DPD which stated our home address as the delivery address still. I rang the Emma Bridgewater customer service again and was assured it was not going to our home address. Next day I had a notification of delivery from DPD, you guessed it, the item was photographed on my home doorstep 300 miles away, the day before the wedding. I rang Emma Bridgewater for a third time, explained the situation and a lady called Catherine apologised profusely and put through a rush order on the same item to be delivered next day but warned it might not arrive in time… Well I am very happy to say that less than 24 hours later, wedding gift in hand, we were on our way to the wedding! Thank you Catherine for turning round what would have been a 1 star experience!”

“I recently ordered a Mr & Mrs mug set for a gift. Easy to use website for ordering prompt delivery. When they arrived they were Mr & Mr. Called customer care a replacement was sent out same day for next day delivery. Excellent customer service 5*****”

“Fantastic website, so user friendly. Very easy to navigate and so quick to place an order. I was informed promptly by email that my order would be 5-7 working days. I placed it on Friday and it was here before 10am on Tuesday! Cannot fault them, perfect!”

“Sadly a jug I ordered arrived with a chipped spout. I called Emma bridgewater and immediately got through. Within three minutes a replacement was ordered for me and I didn't even have to return the broken jug. Unbelievably easy to deal with.”

“I contacted customer services to look for replacement lids for butter dishes. I now have 2 perfectly good dishes but the lids are the pieces that are likely to break. I was told that you do not do replacement lids as each piece is made individually and they may not fit. Sorry I do not believe this reason -I feel it is more with not wanting to supply replacement parts to your customers as it is more lucrative to force them to buy the entire dish again. When the world is teetering on the verge of an environmental disaster - your company should be making efforts to reduce your carbon footprint instead of manufacturing unnecessary pieces which your customers do not want or need. Also in these financially hard times, you might consider this a gesture of good will to your customers to show that you listen and care about them. I can guarantee you that if I am in this situation there are many many others with similar problem.”

“It’s really about what went right?! They publicise everywhere about their sale. Hound you with emails and then once you’ve placed an order, there’s nothing. 3 weeks ago I placed an order. I’m still waiting. They are dreadful. 2 of the items are apparently now out of stock!! Let’s see if I actually get the rest of my order?!?!”

“I bought several products from Emma Bridgewater and have always been pleased, products have been satisfactory and delivery quite good. The last order I made was bigger than previous orders which was a mixture of large saucers, mugs, large serving plates and tea towels. It was delivered a week ago and when I opened it, two tea towels were not enclosed. I emailed customer service and got a reply with a case number. I have been waiting but I still haven’t heard anything.”

“Very poor customer service. Products arrived smashed to pieces, rattling in the box. A mug was wrapped better than a large Tureen which looked like a mosaic in the box. Terrible customer service telling me photos had not arrived, when they clearly had, and no offer of a replacement. Took 5 days to speak to someone who actually apologised but by then the item had sold out so no replacement, only a second at the same price !”
