Within little more than an hour of my posting a negative one star review I was contacted by Philip Legge, Europasat Customer Services Manager, who took considerable time and trouble to help resolve my cyber frustration. The missing star is a) Because I could not get through initially and b) It is still a bit of a chore for me to monitor my usage, where before it was easy-peasy. However, Philip Legge's helpful intervention has gone a long way to restoring my faith. Thank you.

For the time being : close contact with your sales department , quick answers to my questions. The full set delivered a few days after having signed my contract. I am just expecting a good specialist to settle properly the whole stuff on my roof and make all working ...

High speed transfer limit - unnecessary. Promotion "Internet without limit" should be real without limit.

The internet connection is unstable and very slow I am getting at best 4. Meg which is not the 20 I was told I would get The installer was a great guy as was the man I ordered it from sadly the product is not what I was told it would be so very disappointed

Supply, installation and administration were all good (installation wqas excellent). The speed achieved via the satellite link is pretty slow - but it's better than the alternative.

We were so excited to be having a faster internet connection after many years of very slow internet using a BT line, but sad to say our fast satellite hopes have been dashed. We occasionally have a fast connection, but on the whole we are very disappointed with the speed. it varies day or night, so any excuse that it is being used by many other people does not really wash. Would not in all honesty be able to recommend Europasat. Sorry.

I recently bought a SES satellite kit from yourselves in January through Mr Steve Pritchard for installation in France. Neither the local installer or myself were successful in getting the system running. I visited your offices on 14th April with the tria and modem were it was found that I was using the wrong Cluster Code. I will return to France next week, and hopefully I will be successful this time. The staff at your offices were all very helpful on my visit, however, a little more care needs to be taken somewhere to avoid this situation.

Information on the site is comprehensive, subscription process quick and easy. Web interface sometimes behaves not in intuitive way, like credit card information entry - issue number should be specified as 1, otherwise card is not added silently. FAQ is comprehensive, all my questions were answered. Ticket support system is OK, support person I spoke to is OK, managed to activate second-hand equipment successfully.

Early days as yet (3 days online) but so far the overall package seems good. The equipment purchase was a particularly nice, and for a DIYer informative experience thanks to John Sidwell.

Satellite Broadband is never going to be ideal for web browsing because of the time it takes for the signal to travel via the satellite to the server. A web page requires numerous connections, each connection taking three quarters of a second to make. However, the actual download is almost instant and in practice a previously viewed page should load in under ten seconds. There may be further delays caused by congestion on the actual internet during the evening. Not great, probably equivalent to a 2Mb phone line connection, but you get used to it. A satellite connection is much more stable than a crackly phone line (mine has been rock solid for over two years) and is ideal for streaming video which requires just the one connection. The people at Europasat are friendly and helpful, it is like dealing with a small business, and I can happily recommend them.

Overall would have been very good, but they sent us the wrong code which meant we wasted about an hour trying to get it to work. However, when we called, they sorted it out very quickly and efficiently. I would certainly recommend using them & Steve Pritchard who acted as intermediary.

Had done a lot of research into different providers and some of the feedback about Europasat was not good. However, on making contact with the sales team, I found them helpful and the ordering process was simple. I was a bit disappointed that the costs weren't as transparent as they could have been. This was mainly to do with what seemed to be an 'add on' for renting the equipment when I thought that the price I had been quoted on the previous day was for purchasing the kit. The other slight niggle was that I had to chase Euroasat to see when installation was going to happen. This was due to a lost email I think. Having said that, the installation company were very efficient and the job itself was done very well. As far as the service goes, so far so good. Download speeds do vary but that applies to ADSL services too and depends on overall usage of the satellite. I am pleased so far though and the frequent 15-19mbs download speeds are a dream compared to the 0.13mbs BT were able to provide via the phone line. In summary, although this means of getting Broadband is expensive, it does what it says on the tin. Monitoring usage via the Europasat web client page is easy and so far, I have no complaints.

I was only told of the monthly 11euro fee, there was no mention of the connection charge . This only became apparent when my credit card was charged. Otherwise, the system is working well. Thank you.
