“Last retainer broke very easily, ordered some new one hopefully these are better. Also is it the same price for a retainer at top retainer only as it is for the the set top and bottom. If so that is a rip off”

Hi Riley, our records show that your retainer lasted about a year. This is normal in the initial stages of retention, there is more pressure on retainers as teeth are trying to shift back. Retainers usually last longer after the initial stage, but we do always recommend renewing them at least annually to ensure the retainer keeps doing its job effectively. In terms of same price for top retainer only, this is incorrect. You treated upper only so you will get 2 Upper retainers with the set. You ordered 2 sets so will get 4 retainers. We will happily refund one of those sets if you wish. We are certainly not a rip off. Thanks

“Whilst the concept of aligners are great, unfortunately EZ smile was not suitable for me. I had already used Invisalign 10 years back as I had crooked teeth. After my completion, they went slightly back. So I decided 10 years later to try EZ smile to finish off what I had started previously. So not a major correction I was asking for. EZ smile is affordable compared to Invisalign and it is the same concept. The problem I had with EZ smile is that whilst my teeth looked straight from an underneath view, they were not straight from a frontal view after completion of the program. I then got a few alterations after which at one point my teeth actually moved with a gap, which required another set of alterations to fix it up. By the end of it, I did not get the result of what I had requested from the beginning of the whole program, which meant that both EZ smile and myself agreed that there was nothing further that could be done. The before and after shots from the front view were the same. Only underneath you could see the difference. They were always accommodating and very supportive and the product itself is of quality, I feel that perhaps that as I was not able to speak to an orthodontist directly, the messages I was sending for what I specifically wanted, was getting lost in translation.”

Thanks Gisella we believe we delivered the end result that your plan showed. We refined it many times for you but unfortunately, you wanted more than the simulated result could offer. In hindsight yes you probably should have paid the premium price for an orthodontist to treat you face to face in order to get you the minute improvements that you were wanting. Thanks Lucas, we prefer to keep the price of our overall treatment down. Retainers are not overly expensive and are only needed once a year or so. When compared to other comparable companies in the market that charge $600 to 700 dollars more than us, We think we are a well-priced proposition.

“Write a review for what? The sign up process? Not fantastic, I'm not sure if it's because I'm Android but I couldn't do it on my phone which is anoying because I have the newest Samsung. Also I asked to purchase these days ago and I was never told my link was ready even though they said it had been ready since the 15th and I had to follow it up. I guess the process would be fine if you had alot of time I'm just very eager to get the process underway because I got overseas in exactly a years time and I wanted the process to be complete before I leave”

“My retainers continuously fit loose unfortunately. I did not experienced the pain/discomfort when moving onto new retainers and quite often after 2-3 days the retainers would fall off my teeth when talking. I had voiced my concern to ExSmile about not experiencing discomfort, they hadn’t heard that feedback before, suggesting I skip a step to move onto a tighter retainer which again after a few days was loose. I had a remake as well as utilised the additional retainer at the end of my treatment but still have the small gap in my teeth that I wanted fixed. I phoned a few times as well as emailed with questions and queries. They were always willing to help. I had a lot of hope in the treatment but sadly the treatment didn’t work for me to achieve the desired outcome and I gave up trying to chase additional retainers for treatment as they were all ill-fitting.”

Hi Ashleigh we are sorry that you feel this way, but as advised in our correspondence, the tiny space in your front teeth was on your simulated plan. You would not be able to achieve a better result even if spending $8k on invisalign. The orthodontist would still need to use a small amount of filler or file your teeth to alter the shape of the front teeth to allow it to totally close. We think we delivered the end result as per plan and think your teeth look terrific. Again sorry you are less than satisfied. EZ SMILE team.

“Though EZ smile retainers are easy to use and not too pricey, I was a little dissapointed with my results. The way the retainers are anchored, needs improvement. I voiced my doubts when I first started treatment (as my retainers did not cover one of my back molars) but was told this would not affect treatment. I was proved right in due course when the gap between the uncovered molar and the last covered one soon became bigger (a constant nuisance now as food gets stuck in it all the time), and though my teeth appear visually straighter from some angles, they are not level, so my teeth don't sit comfortably without wearing the retainers.”
