“With the COVID 19 pandemic, swimming pool sales have increased over 400%. Combine that with the labor shortage and shortage of supplies, you have a slim chance of getting a swimming pool anytime soon and at a decent price.
We ordered our MATRIX 54" 20ft pool on 5/29/2021 at the peak of pool season and received it today, 7/19/2021. Packaging was in excellent condition and actually arrived 2 weeks prior to the promised date. On top of that, we paid the regular price! Family Pool Fun could have easily taken advantage of all of us and skyrocketed their prices. The "less expensive" pools that you can buy at Target, Walmart and Amazon are double and triple the price right now and people are paying it! That's only if you can get your hands on one. The pool manufactured by Sharkline and sold by Family Pool Fun, are premium above ground pools that will last you decades(if properly taken care of). Ours has a 60 year warranty and is designed to stay up year round. These pools are no joke people. I will say it again, we paid the regular price. They did not stop taking orders, they did not jack up the prices. They continued to work their butts off to help keep us cranky customers happy.
I am appalled at most of the reviews that have been left here. I am so sorry you did not get your pool in 3 days. I am so sorry that they did not respond to your snippy email right away. I am so sorry that you did not cut these people some slack that have continued to provide you an excellent product at an affordable price. I am so sorry that the world does not revolve around you!
I have nothing negative to say about Family Pool Fun. This is a real company. They are not crooks. This is not a scam. Order your dream pool now. Expect it to arrive in about 6-8 weeks. Level your pool site while you are waiting for your pool to arrive. If you have anything to be mad about, be mad at COVID and the lame people not wearing masks or getting vaccinated so we can all get back to "normal".”

“I ordered a pool robot and within a week it was delivered. The price was exactly what others charged, but I received a Sr. Citizen's/Military discount. So, 2% is better in my pocket than someone else's. Communication with the owners was great. I read all of the reviews and up until Covid-19 interrupted normal business operations, FamilyPoolFun had great reviews.
I spoke to a local brick and mortar store and they said that ALL pool/spa items were taking 8-12 weeks longer than any other time they could remember, and it was because everyone was at home and ordering pools and spas at a record pace. So the 1 star reviews I saw on this page are mostly during Covid lock outs.
People are working from home and customers are expecting the same customer service as when companies were in full production mode. It is unfair to be so harsh on a small company. No, I don't work for this company nor do I have any vested interest in the company, but being a small business owner myself know just how difficult these times have been for everyone. Even my distributors that used to answer an email in less than an hour are taking 2-3 days to get back to me.
I did my research prior to making my purchase and it wasn't until I received an email asking for a review, did I see this page and all the bad reviews people posted. It's unfair to kick a man when he's down, but that's what I see in the last years reviews.
So this being the end of 2020, maybe this company will survive into 2021. The only reason I wrote this lengthy review is because of all the negative reviews and I had no such experience. So before you make a purchase from any online company, be realistic in your expectations. people are working from home (try to make a pool liner at home [ha ha]). Everything is taking longer than what it used to. Get used to it, it's the "new normal" Businesses will go under because of shut downs/lock outs even after you make a purchase and there will be nothing you can do about it.
So, I will reiterate, the communication I received was top notch, friendly, and the product was shipped in less than a week.”
“Despite everyone else giving this company 1 stars I am giving them 5. We ordered our pool on May 16th knowing that we were in the middle of a pandemic and that things would be delayed. We were first told that our pool would be delivered the last week on June first week of July. That worked for us since we had to prep our yard for the install. We then received a second email saying that our delivery would be the first full week of July second week of July. I kept in contact with the company via text message (yes it was a few hours or a day before I received a response). I also sent emails and always received a response back. While others feel like Jay is just giving the run around I did not feel that way at all. He gave me honest answers and told me that my pool was delayed.
The only problem I ran into was that my pool was sitting at the shipping warehouse in my town for a few days without my knowledge. But I made a phone call to the shipping company SCIA and they had us scheduled for the next day.
My husband and I checked our package and all pieces were there. We also used the extra time to level our ground. In the end and after a lot of youtube videos we decided to have a pool construction build our pool. The pool is absolutely beautiful and worth the wait.
My advice about this company is to be patient. While some feel like they are just getting the run around. I feel like this company is working hard to fill orders during such a difficult time in our country. Pools are still being manufactured but slowly since people are working with social distancing etc. No one and I mean no one could have predicted that COVID-19 would have impacted our lives the way it has. It also doesn't help that we are stuck in our homes with nothing to do so many are buying pools that normally would not. This season is a different case than normal. But I appreciate all of the hard work that Jay and his employees are putting in for us so we can still enjoy what is left of summer!”
