I have had meat previously from you and it was great - but the beef wing rib I had for Christmas was not up to your usual standard.

Beautifully ethically packaged, prompt delivery. Unfortunately the meat lack real flavour despite “outstanding breeds”. Lack of flavour and taste, a real let down considering the price.

Delivered on time, and well packaged. Sausagemeat was good. Chicken was good. Sadly, the gammon joint was much smaller than it appeared in the photograph, and far leaner too. I had expected a good covering of fat from a slow-grown beast, but there was very little fat, which made scoring and glazing ineffective. The fat was so thin, that the cloves pierced the meat! The flavour was OK, but I only as good as I have had from Aldi. I was anticipating deep porky flavours, and it just tasted, well, hammy. I think my expectations were just too high. From my first (and last) experience, the product here does not justify the cost, and does not live up to the promise of the wonderful photographs.

We had some Christmas meats and very tasty but the beef was overly fatty and tough. Very disappointed. Had exactly the same last year and was perfect so now unlikely we'll buy again from you. Great website, service and delivery but you charged a lot for something that was only just above average. I know these are difficult times for businesses and suppliers but what you're offering right now is just not worth the premium you're asking for. Sorry.

I was disappointed this Christmas. After previous good experience, I ordered two geese. They were both very poorly plucked and it took us a long time to remove the quills embedded before we could cook . Also very annoying was that we only received one pack of giblets between two geese. So short changed be one. This is an essential ingredient for sauces so I was very disappointed to have one pack missing. The delivery was good as always, and the quality of the meat was good. However the above mentioned problems mean I will not order from Farmison next Christmas.

The ham was absolutely delicious and good value for money. Unfortunately the topside of beef was as tough as old boots, despite following the Farmison cooking instructions and recipe.

The package was received on time, well packaged and everything was included as ordered. I must say that the product did not reflect the premium price, We've had beef of equivalent tenderness and flavour from supermarkets in the past, at less cost.

I have received several orders from Farmison and this is the first time we have been disappointed. The pork was brilliant and tasted delicious. When I opened the beef sirloin I was really disappointed. I expect some fat but there seemed to be more fat than meat. We cut quite a lot if fat from the joint and then decided it just wasn't big enough to roast as a joint and so cut it into 3 steaks. They were really tasty but we certainly did not get our Christmas day beef joint. It was a good job that we had the pork as back up.

The chicken is very good, but the 32 day heritage fore rib of beef really lacks flavour compared to competition-disappointing considering the price.

I ordered a whole chicken and 2 French trim lamb racks . The chicken was absolutely juicy and tasted delightful as we roasted it . But the lamb racks was very poor , there was very less meat and was full of fat which was very putting off. I ordered 2 racks and had to throw the other one as it was so full of fat and smelled foul . The lamb was extremely disappointing but the chicken was of excellent quality.

Ordered individual beef wellingtons for Xmas day, one was split open on arrival. Cooked as stated and let rest and all 4 were overcooked and not bloody as we like our steak. We had Iceland beef wellington on New Year’s Day and actually preferred it over these individual ones! Maybe I should have ordered a large one from you? I don’t know if that would have been any better. Shame as it’s the first time using your company and I won’t be rushing back to place another order.

The stuffing was very much appreciated by our guests. I would not have bought this product if you had advertised it correctly. You did not say that the turkey was wrapped in bacon. I don't buy bacon because my husband doesn't eat it

Unfortunately the sausages wrapped in bacon went off 2 days before the expiry day even though we put them in the fridge the minute they arrived. The turkey paupiette was flavourful, however didn’t come with instructions on cooking temperature or duration, so we overcooked it a bit turning it dry (probably our fault for overcooking though).

Not as good as we hoped. It seemed to lack the taste of previous purchases.

unable to complete as we have not eaten very little of the order.

I followed Farmison's own method of cooking the mutton. The result was disappointingly chewy, and more than a bit sinewy.

Somewhat disappointed after last year's (2000) delivery with the quality of meat ordered inferior.

Very disappointed with the goose/duck/pheasant roast. There were large pieces of skin and what looked like neck in the middle. Not at all pleasant when served. After 3 years I'll go elsewhere next year. Definitely not worth the cost.

The fillet was delicious but I was disappointed as I had ordered a Chateaubriand which is the centre cut. But what I received was an end cut of the fillet.
