“Delivery promised for Christmas Eve - and it came! So no anxiety there I followed the cooking instructions to the letter: softened butter under the skin, wrap in foil, leave to cook, rest. Best turkey ever. So pleased.”

“Generally the quality of the meat was excellent both the Turkey crown and the green Thai curry. The sauce was likewise but the stuffing in the Turkey was less popular and didn’t retain its taste well. I was more concerned with a delivery which I paid additional money for to be delivered before 12 midday and DPD did not perform at all well and delivered at 15.30 in the afternoon. Fortunately it all worked out but it was not as stated on your website and you should know that they will not help your customer service ratings”

“Like many other people here my meat arrived with the main event (fillet of beef ) missing. For me it’s not the fact that it’s missing that is most disappointing but it’s the none existent customer service. I called and emailed and WhatsApp on 23rd and had no response. I was cut off on the phone like one other customer. This is no way to treat loyal customers. I’ve been using Farmison for over 12 months now and regularly spend 50/60 a month. I’ll be revisiting where I buy my meat from going forward. So very disappointing Farmison. You really are going to need to up your game. 29th Dec and my meat arrived 23rd and not even an apology from you yet let alone a refund.”

“Cooked the bacon wrapped turkey galantine as per instruction, used a Meater plus (have used one for a long time now) and found the Turkey to be rather tasteless, very dry and very disappointing. Despite using a newly sharpened chefs knife, it fell apart somewhat during carving as well. The poultry gravy was voted the most insipid, dishwater like gravy ever tasted as well. The other items bought were all very good I hasten to add but at £115 for the Turkey, never again!”

“For Xmas 2022 we had a beautiful rib of beef. This year 2023 however I was very unhappy with the bacon wrap turkey galantine. It tasted like processed preserved meat, and not up to the standard of the previous year. I would appreciate your reply about this, particularly because of how expensive it was. . Based on this I would hesitate to recommend your products again.”

“Oh my goodness what a fillet! Absolutely superb, cooked perfectly to Farmison instructions in the Aga, it almost melted in our mouths, so beautifully tender, moist and such a wonderful taste, perfect Boxing Day treat, it was so good we ate the fillet for six entirely by four of us, have had to leave Farmisons details for all out guests, outstanding far superior to the turkey the day before!!!!!”

“I can’t recommend Farmison & Co highly enough and would have given them more stars if possible! We will be ordering our Christmas goose from them again next year. The ordering and customer service were excellent (including coping with my anxiety as the bird lockdown for avian flu was announced in the autumn), and delivery was guaranteed for the morning requested, which was such a relief. Packaging includes an insulated box with plentiful ice packs, suitable for up to 72 hours, so leaving the goose for 48 hours out of the fridge was no problem. The bird itself was beautifully prepared (no need for tweezers for the first time in years!) and came complete with a pot of already-rendered goose fat, so roast tatties were really simple. And the meat? Absolutely superb, with a rich flavour and tenderness which surpassed any goose we’ve had in the past 15 years. Very slightly (approx 5%) more expensive than a supermarket goose but worth every penny and more. Outstanding.”

“Last year I ordered the Sweet Cure Gammon joint and when it arrived it was exactly like the picture and when cooked was delicious. It was my friends turn to do christmas lunch this year but as they enjoyed the gammon last year they asked me to cook on and take it with me, this I did. when it arrived it was nothing like the picture but as I have trusted Farmison for years I thought it would be just as tasty and I didn't want to order another in case it was just the same and then I would have two. When I cooked it I was very disappointed. The meat was a lot darker and I did not like the taste at all. I could not take it to my friends so I had to let them down. I have since tasted the meat and disliked it so much that I have thrown it away. I have always been happy with Farmison and have recommended them I now am not sure what I will do now.”
