I ordered some boots in two different sizes, an 8.5 and a 9. I received a pair of 9 and a pair of size 9.5 in a box marked 8.5. Very confusing. The boxes and bag were so filthy that I got my blouse dirty and had to change. Excellent delivery though.

I have been sent the wrong size shoe. There is a returns service, but I think its really unfair that I have to pay return postage when it is the companies mistake. Its also a real hassle when I am so busy to spend time correcting their mistake.

This would have been higher had the tiem sent been of the size ordered! I clearly ordered 9.5 (shoes) and 8.5 was delivered. Currently exchanging without charge, which is why it's not "Very Poor", but I'm not impressed

Rated poor because I paid for Saturday delivery and didn't receive the goods until Monday. Was ok as someone was in anyway, but would have been hopeless if we'd both been working and out on the Monday

Bought 3 shirts by 2 manufacturers, all XL which according to the chart was big enough for my chest measurement, none of them fitted my chest! Bought an XL shirt from M& S instead - fits fine. Now I find I have to pay to return the 3 ordered from you. Even if I could take them to a store, you don't have one within 30 miles of me ( Portsmouth) Shan't use you again.

I received my two pairs of Merrell walking shoes. However, in the overall package was another packet, marked fragile, with items for another customer. I contacted the company to inform them that this had happened. I received an e-mail, in bad English, from Izabela in Customer Services telling me that I have to get the packet retuned with the packing note etc. In other words I have to cover for the incompetence of Field & Trek in the despatch of its goods. I have to pay for suitable packing to send a "fragile" item in the free post and waste my professional time making these arrangements. This is unacceptable and illustrates just what a dysfunctional organisation Field & Trek is and should not be recommended in future.

I ordered from you a new pair of Keen Newport sandals. I had researched well prior to purchase from you. It was price alone which secured you my custom. On receipt however I note that you are responsible for placing one of your pricing stickers in the heel of the right hand sandal. I have attempted to remove this with grear difficulty and even now, the remnants of the sticker's glue and other material have permanently defaced the product. I have photographed the same as proof of the problem. I note your return's costs have to be met by the buyer even it seems in events like this hence me 'making do' with a product that is marred by a foolhardy procedure of placing stickers which then are left to the buyer to attempt to remove because in all probability, one so placed cannot be satisfactorily removed by you prior to dispatch. The price listed on the sticker wasn't even the price I paid which makes the nonsense of any of this even more displeasing for me. I am at a loss as to how to now remedy the mistake made by others. Please contact me regarding this. As such, my rating can be no other than poor as I am dissatisfied with what has occurred.

The item I ordered was very good, but i paid for next day delivery. The courier company you use -yodel - are letting you down. I did not get the service i paid for as the driver ignored a large note asking him to either leave my parcel in a safe place or to call a number and someone could be there within a couple minutes to sign for it. Because of this my parcel arrived too late for the purpose it was purchased for. So i am not happy and will not be useful your company again because of this

We ordered a tent on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. and paid for next day delivery. The website stated that orders placed before 7 p.m. would be delivered next day. When we got the order confirmation email, it stated orders placed before 4 p.m. would be delivered next day. Due to this, we tried repeatedly to contact Field and Trek to find out when the item would be delivered. Unfortunately, the lack of a customer services phone number made this pretty much impossible as the contacting by email has a quoted reply time of 1 to 5 days. Not much help when chasing a next day delivery order. We even tried phoning stores but none of them would answer. We stayed in all day in case it arrived. As we had no contact from F&T at all on Friday we decided to cancel the order that night. In any case, the original order confirmation stated that at that stage the order had not been accepted and would not be accepted until a dispatch email had been sent. I was very surprised and angered to find that my credit card had already been charged for an order that hadn't been accepted. I hope that this is refunded very quickly. On Saturday, we were surprised to get an email from Yodel to say they would be delivering our F&T order today. We still hadn't had a dispatch email from F&T. The Yodel driver arrived around 10:15 but I refused delivery as we now had the order placed with another company. About an hour later, F&T finally sent the dispatch email, after the goods had been returned. Whilst the goods were brought to us within two days this was not within the expectations we had from the information on their website. We still would have been happy to accept the order being delivered on the Saturday had we been able to find out on Friday that this was when it would be delivered. May I recommend that: 1) the website information is amended to say "after 4 p.m.", if this is the case. 2) the customer services number is made available on the website. 3). More customer service staff are employed so that response times are brought in line with generally accepted levels for a distance selling company.
