Good customer service but poor quality product

My parcel was expected today but I received a text from dpd this morning to say that as they hadn't received the parcel from fields they couldn't deliver it. Disappointing but perhaps this is feedback you require

We are sorry to learn you were not completely satisfied with your delivery. Although goods were delivered quickly the waist size 44 of the Scott Stripe Trousers was very tight. A 44 usually fits me. I noticed on the first review of these trousers that a customer had the same experience. When this customer reordered a 46 size, thet apparently were no different to the 44 size. As I needed these trousers by Friday of this week I tried to contact you by your chat line but this was unavailable all day and your published phone line does not work. I am sending my order back for a refund today as I have had to make alternative arrangements.

Regrettably having attempted to change the delivery address your website would not effect the alteration requires. The delivery agents DPD accepted online to alter the delivery address but seemingly did not do so as their attempt to deliver the articles to the same address as the billing address meant that nobody was at the premises to receive them. I still do not have the articles and they are now to be delived to the local DPD drop point. I will not be able to retrieve the articles until wednesday at the earliest. All this happened because your website payment procedure would not effect and accept a change of address. Very frustrating and disappointed.

My purchase is not being delivered until tomorrow some 4/5 days since it was purchased ................ Yet if I buy something from Amazon it is more often or not delivered within 24 hours. You may want to review your delivery service ............... Regards Tony

Dear Mr Harman, Thank-you for your order from the Fields menswear website, we are sorry to hear that the delivery time was unsatisfactory. When a customer orders from our website, it is clearly stated, depending on what time the order is placed, when the customer is going to receive their items. Unfortunately we do not have a collection over the weekend, therefore anything ordered after Friday 4pm, will be delivered the following Tuesday. Postage and tracking excellent, but sent wrong shoes! No time to send back as im getting married sharply! They'll have to do, but not what I ordered!!!

I made an order solely because I had been given a £50 discount because of poor service in the past. I got the obligatory text/ emails the day before stating that my purchase had been despatched. I was expecting a text on the morning of delivery to inform me of my 1 hour delivery slot. I actually got a text at 9.40am saying that as the courier company hadn't received the package from Fields despite paying for next day delivery it was unable to deliver. I rung Fields who assured me it was due for delivery that afternoon. I then received an email from courier reiterating that delivery couldn't happen. I have now changed delivery to the next day. Shame no one from Fields know what's going on and have a funny way of trying to win back my custom

No notification that my order is awaiting stock, when I ordered it gave me no indication that the items were not in stock so as yet I have not received the items

You promised delivery fo the following day Tuesday!! As at 11.am today THURSDAY the shoes have not been delivered.
