I ordered a black/anthracite HAY palissade bench from Finnish Design Shop.
A large box arrived but to my surprise it contained an Iron Red coloured bench while the box was labelled ‘anthracite’. Right box, wrong bench.
I emailed Finnish Design Shop with a photo of the Red bench and the emailed receipt which confirmed an anthracite coloured bench was ordered. So far, so simple, or so you would think.
When I didn’t receive a reply I filled out a Claim Form, they advise it can take up to 5 days wait to hear back.
I have now received a reply to my email where they apologise for their mistake but want a photo of the box labels and have asked if I would like to keep the red bench with compensation or refund or exchange but that if I choose an exchange it will be months before they have the black anthracite bench in stock again. I checked the website, the black anthracite bench is listed as being availability to order with a mid-July delivery date. So which is it? It’s out of stock with several months delay on delivery or it isn’t? Either way, I’m left with a huge box containing a bench I didn’t order blocking my hallway very much regretting ordering anything from this company. While I await a reply to my email saying I want the bench I paid for I have received an email asking me to review my experience so here it is. Bottom line? More hassle than it is worth and a very straightforward scenario that has been dealt with very badly by Finnish Design Shop. You live and learn, never again.”
