“Learners have found the training to be inflexible. While it is appreciated that in order to give a full certificate it was agreed that an attendance certificate would be provided to anyone who could not complete parts of the more physical tasks. Some of the learners are in their 70's. Additionally the lack of support in gaining information that would help us to identify the learning needs of a learner that failed the written test was very unhelpful. This could have been provider to the learner themselves to avoid any data protection issues.”
“Found it quite long and somtimes repetitive as i only organise breakfast club and make toast and cereal ,thought there could of been a simplified version as i dont actually work in a kitchen”
“Disappointed in the end on module questions in 2 sections and the length of the HACCP section.
The question answers were to close to call with several answers being right, it seemed it was just a question of which one was more right.
The HACCP section was way too long. This is a L2 food safety course, an awareness yes, but that must depth, unnecessary.
Won’t be doing this one again in 2 years.”
“Very convoluted way to get on as an individual, with first having to register as administrator, set yourself up as a learner, then log in again. Course generally good but some illustrations too small or unclear to see what they are”
“Unfortunately I had a number of existing staff and they ended up having to do the course twice because I had only refreshed their learner accounts as I wasn't aware I needed to completely renew them. It has cost twice as much because I had to pay some people twice - not great. your IT chap was a great help and rectified before it affected everyone.”
“I founf the course quite hard to access - I think it is meant for multiple people in a team but this was just for me.
There was also a glitch on one of the slides which meant I couldn't move on as there was no "right" answer depite muliple tries. I had to call the support line twice (first to get onto the course and second to fix the glitch). Also this took much longer than I expected. If I'm being honest I would struggle to recommend this.”
