“Worst Decision for My Business – Misleading Sales, Technical Failures & No Accountability
Iam a sandwich bar owner and I strongly advise all business owners to stay away from Foodhub. My experience has been nothing but lies, technical failures, lost business, and financial stress.
The problems started from day one:
The sales agent Saravanan lied repeatedly during sign-up. He told me a landline was mandatory to use Foodhub devices, so I was forced into taking a phone line contract I never needed. Later, I found out the landline was not required at all, and I had to fight to get it removed.
He also made me buy a caller ID device, saying it was mandatory. Later, I discovered this was another lie — it wasn’t needed.
I initially contacted Foodhub only for POS integration with delivery platforms, and I made it very clear: if proper integration wasn’t possible, I didn’t want the POS device. Saravanan promised full integration, saying I could turn off Uber Eats and Deliveroo devices completely, and that I could update order statuses (like “on the way” or “delivered”) directly from Foodhub POS, which would automatically sync to customers.
After buying the machine and using it for two weeks, I discovered this was false. Foodhub cannot update order statuses — I was told I must still keep Uber and Deliveroo devices on and update them manually. The only thing Foodhub does is print orders, and even then, Uber deliveries often print without full addresses or door numbers, making it impossible for drivers to deliver.
The technical issues are endless:
Their integration team constantly makes mistakes — when I request a simple item addition, they change timings, delete items across platforms, or close my shop without notice. By the time I figure it out, I’ve already lost business and damaged my reputation with customers.
On one busy day, Foodhub closed my JustEat shop from 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM without notice, causing me a huge loss. Despite repeated requests, I have never received proper compensation. and they closed shop so many times.
Instead of fixing issues, Foodhub gives excuses:
Their integration manager Abdul kept calling, but only to repeat the same empty promises that “this will never happen again.” Yet the same mistakes happened again and again.
They compensated me with “3 months free rental,” promising I would save around £420 (covering both Foodhub £12/week and Datman £23/week). But in reality, they still charged me £23/week Datman rental, so I only saved £144. When I questioned this, they told me the free rental was “only for Foodhub, not Datman.” This is blatant dishonesty and misleading sales practice.
The worst part is trying to leave Foodhub:
They ignore emails, avoid calls, delay responses for months, and waste time with false promises just to stop you from cancelling.
They refuse to refund my £375 installation fee, they refuse to refund Datman rental charges, and they refuse to compensate for the business losses caused by their repeated technical failures.
Foodhub doesn’t want to fix issues, doesn’t want to take responsibility, and doesn’t want to let you leave.
The stress they have caused me is unbearable. Every night I go to sleep with mental tension, wondering: what will Foodhub break tomorrow? Which items will they remove, what timings will they change, or will my shop be closed again without notice?
Foodhub damages businesses slowly and traps you in a cycle of lies, losses, and stress. If you value your business and peace of mind, do not trust them.”

“We ordered food on foodhub at the value of £44 from Delfino and they offered me £3 refund and Delfino wouldn’t give us anything back as all the food was delivered cold! I advise you not to order anything from them! Stick to just eat or Uber”
“Avoid at all cost. They are so far behind other platforms. Absolutely disgisting service. Waited 1.5 hours for cold food. I spoke to Foodhub sevetal times about the wait and they said the food was on the way and gave me and absolute latest wait time after speaking to the store. I waited more than double and was promised by foodhub it would be put tight if I had to wait any longer. I was also told by Foodhub the store would call me to put ut right, BOTH NEVER HAPPENED. I was charged over £23 for food I did not eat and awful service. I will never order from Homies or use foodhub again.
Food hun then replied saying I should call the restaurant and the gave me a voucher....... so my reply was..
I only took the voucher for alot less than what I paid because you would not rectify the full amount and I asked several times but was told no, I was also promised the store would call me and have not. Why go through a 3rd party to place my order, who then take their commission and then ask the customer to put everything right. It took waaaaaay to long for just partial voucher... absolutely not good enough. So before you reply look into it properly and try and put it fully right. Oh and u did try calling the store and was told a flat rude no to them doing anything to put it right.
I will ensure everyone knows what shocking customer foodhub deliver until this is put right. Its not ok these companies keep getting away with stealing money from customers”
“Food order got cancelled after 20 minutes and taking my money. After 9 days got I spoke to them and got told they had withheld my money but did not explain why and that I would get it by Friday which is then 2 weeks! Will keep checking my account. Won’t be using this service again 🤬”

“The most disgusting food I have ever eaten and I have eaten in many places. Spent £30 to find out none of our meals had chips even though we ordered chips and the lamb shish I ordered from Stanhope Kebab (which is the same shop as foodhub) was shocking!!! I would have preferred to starve. I can’t believe they are allowed to sell food. It’s a shame I have to leave 1 star to be allowed to write a review.”

“I ordered food from a local takeaway. Tracking information was good and food was cooked quickly. The problem was the delivery. I tracked the vehicle and it made lengthy stops at various points. I then received a message to say my order had been delivered. I rang the restaurant owner who was helpful and contacted Foodhub. I tried calling the delivery driver but the phone was not answered. After a long we webchat with Foodhub I got a message to say my order had been cancelled. They then had the cheek to credit me with a refund “for your next order”. When I asked for a refund to my payment card I was told it would take 3-5 days.
I shall not be using Foodhub again when there are rivals who charge significantly less for delivery and do actually deliver.”
“Rude, weaselly staff. Took 1hr 45 minutes for delivery, food was disgusting and inedible. Refused to give a full refund.
Ordered here on a saturday night, sometimes I walk but I figured I'd get it delivered since I'm only 5 minutes away and I can get some work done while I wait.
After an hour I start to get a bit impatient so I try calling. No answer. Engaged. Try a few more times over the course of the next 45 minutes. No dice.
After 1 hr and 45 minutes a delivery driver shows up, saying nothing, and sheepishly hands me a wilted, wet box before legging it. By that point I'd already eaten because I didn't expect food. It's inedible anyway, so it all goes in the bin. See pictures.
I call up when they open the next day and get fobbed off and told to wait until the manager's in, he'll call me later. When the manager arrives (I call him), dude says I have to call foodhub. Great. I find a phone number on some site (foodhub won't let me log in on their site to file a ticket, just bugs repeatedly - convenient for them. And no public phone number) and manage to get a call from a nice lady that tells me I need to install an app and send the pictures. The man on the app tells me I need to call the restaurant, who tell me I need to speak to foodhub.
Finally the manager pretends he can't hear me and continually hangs up. Foodhub only agree to a partial refund because the restaurant says the food was "hot and freshly-prepared".
Here's what foodhub and Pizza Giorgio consider "fresh, good food". Notice that it's been sitting so long the plastic thingy on the pizza has pierced through the bottom of the wet box, and the paper is fused to the pizza.”
