The camera model that I wanted was shown as available on their website while it was actually out of order. I have first been told that it will arrive within a month then 2 weeks later, I called back and I have been told exactly the same which mean one more month to wait. After a month and a half I finally receive the camera. I put two stars, one for the kindness of the hotline lady, another one for the great packing of the parcel.

An item advertised as in-stock was, in fact, not stocked and took a month to arrive. I had to chase up to find this out after the item didn't arrive. Item was still advertised as in-stock on the website while they awaited stock from their supplier which is very misleading.

Item was displayed as in stock and ready for next day delivery. However, my order was delayed and I received no notification about the delay whatsoever. After calling several times I realised that the item was not really in stock and the store had to wait for delivery. The telephone support was very helpful and they upgraded the delivery to next-day, hence the extra star. However, I think the fact that they didn't have the item in stock was misleading and I lost the opportunity to have the item on a trip (buying from another online store). If I were to order again I would call first to ensure availability.

I bought a B+W filter. It arrived 9 days after order, so slow shipping. The seal had been slit, so the filter was probably a returned item, which is not how it was advertised. The filter had quite a bit of dust on it, which in my experience, is very unusual for B+W filters. Not happy. I have kept it as it doesn't actually look scored or damaged. I won't be buying from Fotosense again.

The delivery date came and went twice. I tried to contact the company on the phone but there was no answer. I had to speak to them on their online chat where I was told effectively that customer service doesn't exist during their dinner break. I enquired about cancelling the order and was then told that miraculously the goods would be in stock and delivered the following week on the third given date. Indeed they were. Though there was nothing wrong with the goods, the company suggested that the out of stock situation was because of their supplier not having stock. It therefore appears, as other customers have suggested, that fotosense advertise and sell stock that they don't actually have. Further, the dates they give for delivery are therefore not met. I was disappointed with this company as I hoped they would be more customer orientated and I would therefore return for future purchases.

Delivery at over two weeks was far more than the 5 days quoted. Add to that no communication from you until I complained about the non delivery is not good customer service. I appreciate that my order of £17.99 was not large but good service could well have resulted in furthur orders much larger in size. However in view of the the current experience that is now unlikely.

I ordered a camera battery and SD card on 25 Aug on the basis that they were "in stock" and that delivery would be within 5-7 days. I was therefore disapponted that the SD card was not even dispatched until 1 Sep, and the battery not until 9 Sep (I finally took delivery on 14 Sep, nearly 3 weeks after my order). My credit card was charged on the day I made the order. Though competitive, Fotosense's price was not the lowest, and I chose it because the website noted the item as being in stock. This hasn't inconvenienced me greatly, but I wil hesitate to order from Fotosense again.

On Tuesday 12/7/16 I ordered a Manfrotto Befree Tripod in red. The item duly arrived on Friday 15/7 but it turned out to be the black version. That evening I sent an email explaining that as the item was for a gift the red version was the preferred option and asking for an exchange , this seemed to be automatically accepted and gave a link where I could view the "Ticket", which had been raised, whatever that means, on clicking the link the message given was "Ticket not found". Anyway as it was weekend I was prepared to give it the benefit of the doubt presuming I would be contacted on Monday. Monday came with no reply and as I was working I was unable to get in touch. So on Tuesday I rang the Fotosense number on the website only to get an answering machine the first two times eventually getting to speak to someone on the third try at 10.00am. I explained the situation and received an apology and was offered either a £5 discount or a replacement within 3-5 days. I explained that I needed the item for Thursday this week and was told that they would have to speak to the warehouse about delivery options and would e mail me with these later in the morning. Nothing happened until 3.00pm when I received a call to say they could deliver on Thursday but it would be all day which was not suitable for me, I was again offered the £5 discount but when I said this amount was neither here nor there the lady told me she would speak to her manager to see what else she could do and get back to me later. No further contact was made until the following day Wednesday, when I called them during my lunch break, I was thanked for ringing back even though they were supposed to be calling me (now forgotten seemingly) and was told the tripod could now be exchanged on Friday or I could have the £5 discount, when I mentioned our previous conversation the lady told me they couldn't do any more as this item was being sold at cost, not sure why that is my problem but it would seem to be. When I said that posting a new tripod and paying to return the old one would cost more than this the offer was upped to £7.50 and I was told they would be making a loss on this item, again not sure how this is my problem. Anyway by now I was loosing the will to live, as I'm sure anyone reading this will be, so I accepted this new offer as I was now not going to get a replacement in time and just wanted to be done with the matter. All in all not my most enjoyable shopping experience.

I am very disappointed to write this review as I held Fotosense in high regard until I ordered my first item through them. I ordered a Telescope (Celstron Skyprodigy 130) through Fotosense which I was hoping would be delivered in time for a crucial presentation (and paid £700 compared to same product being advertised as £500 on other website just so I will have my product in time). After numerous phone calls and promises unfortunately the product was not delivered in time and I missed my opportunity. Only if the suppliers are honest and adhere to their promise.

Ordered a lumix lens which has limited supply options and Fotosense had best price. Item was shown in stock when I placed order with a suggested 3-5 working day delivery When it had not arrived 6days later, I phoned to query position and was told there was a delay because of bank holiday the previous day, so clearly had not even been dispatched. I was told "it should be with you in the same timescale. When it had still not arrived after that term it was told there was a supply issue. I was given the option to cancel the order or wait, which I decided to do due to the favourable price . It then arrived in 3 days, quicker than suggested.

Fotosense prices are very competitive. However their customer service as far as communication is concerned is very poor. I ordered a camera with a 5 day lead time and did get a confirmation email, but that was it. After 4 business days I called to try and ascertain when my camera would be delivered and they said it would go out on the 5th day. I asked for a courier name and tracking number and was told it would by Royal Mail 48hr, and i would receive an email with the tracking number by 6pm. No email, no tracking number and turns out the delivery was 24 hr. Yes I did get it a day earlier and yes the product is good with a 3 yr warranty. These days sending an update email is easy and a customer service must. Would I order from Fotosense again : maybe as their prices are competitive. Would I recommend them : No. How can they improve : send out more emails, all good companies do.

Received goods in an opened blister pack, with a crucial component missing. Have requested returns details and a replacement item, still waiting 4 days later. The main phone number didn't work either initially but managed an online chat with customer support, who were helpful but obviously haven't been able to affect a solution.

It's difficult to write a review... ordered a camera lens on the 5th Feb. Lens dispatched on th 10th. Now the 17th still no lens..... So far I'm £129 down...

Delivery was much slower than promised. The website does not make it clear that at least some of the Olympus items they sell are sourced from outside the UK, rather than being UK stock.

Cheapest on the net for Bowens bulbs by a fair few pounds. However, what I think what a joke was when I ordered a parcel and paid for next day, yes it was next day, the only downside to it was that it was dispatched five days after that so after almost a week I finally received my package.
