“Ordered two 1litre uncle toms rose tonic. Received two 500 mls rose tonic. Talk about being ripped off. Don't ever use them, complete scam.”

“Definitely do not offer value for money. My local garden centre were less expensive for plants 4 times the size bigger. Not happy. I had to return the plants back to them and pay the postage! I would not use again or recommend.”

“I purchased 4 azaleas after 3 months of not a lot of growth , not one bud on any of them also purchased a Lena broom which died after 2 days … I contacted them asking for some kind of response to be told I waited too long to contact them .. I reckon they are full of manure and I certainly won’t be purchasing again from this fly by night company … stay away be warned!!!, at least gardening express give you a guarantee with your plants … no I don’t work for them by the way.”

“Awful variety of colours on 10 Huechera plants recently supplied along with an equally awful response to my complaint. Didn’t resemble the website description in any way. I offered a simple solution by suggesting they send me a further 3 plants but was told to send purchase back to them for a refund. Packing them back up and postage was at my expense. First and last order. Don’t believe what you see on their website”

“I ordered one type of plant they sent me another, looks nothing like the picture on their website. It’s a totally different variant. There is no telephone number instead an online form. I requested a return for the correct plant, they said they would come back to me. A few days passes and no contact whatsoever, so I contact them again, they reply this time and say that I must pay for the return first. Now I’ve had to report it to my credit card and have to go through the process of a complaint to recover my money. I have purchased over 30 indoor plants from various places, never ever had an issue. Terrible experience!! I don’t recommend using this company!! Awful service that’s going to cost me more in time then the plants worth. On principle though, you can’t allow these huge companies to cheat you. Just another greedy company that obviously cares little for good service.”

“on Sunday I paid for delivery next working day which is Monday but Tuesday Evening I still hadnt got the item had to go to another company so asked for my money back no response so so must be as SCAM never again will I use these scammers and recommend my company never uses them again for anything”

“Exactly the same issue as a review further down - the potted Christmas Tree arrived, the roots have long ago burst through the sides and bottom of the too small pot so it requires immediate repotting. The bottom branches are scraggly and thin and the apex of the tree has been sawn off! Who sends a Christmas Tree with no apex for the Star? Having read the reviews of the lack of response, will not bother contacting them. Hopefully I can save the tree for the garden by repotting but not hopeful based on other reviews. Wish I had seen these reviews before purchasing.”

“£9.90 for a perennial plant that turned out to be little more than a sickly discoloured seedling. This was a trial for online buying of plants. Its not the best time of year I know but I bought similar plants on the same day from my local garden centre which were as expected for the price. You can't telephone this company ( I tried ) and you have to pay to return goods. Never again . Avoid”

“If you have ordered a Buddleia Prince Charming, have your magnifying glass to hand.It works out at £2.50. an inch.A tiny shrub emerged from the box. Bone dry and shrivling, yellow sickly leaves, the only healthy thing being the moss carpet over the soil around the plant.A sure sign of long neglect.”

“I bought 3 Clematis plants in 2021, it said they won't come good until the 2nd year. They are still thin and spindly and half dead. I have another Clematis growing next to them which is 5ft and doing fine so it's not the conditions. They are weak plants. Waste of money. The company won't do anything as too much time has passed but how could I advise them sooner when it said they won't come good until the 2nd year. Won't buy from them again. Save your money.”

“Placed an order for friends 20th Wedding anniversary for a China Rose to be delivered. Did not receive a notification about delivery & when I chased I was informed that delivery had failed & been sent to local Royal mail office despite my friend works from home & no attempt or card left. As this is a plant I requested for another one to be resent as that is what I had ordered and paid for. I did not get a confirmation of this & again had to chase up. I then received an email notifying me that my order had been cancelled and a refund processed which I did not ask for, completely disgusted with the lack of service and care. I have since emailed several times to escalate the issue with the operations manager/director as this was ordered for a special occasion I feel strongly about being let down. Again no response at all, very very poor & ignorant for such a company who like other companies need as much business as possible right now. I would highly recommend that you do not waste your time or money with this company. Even 1 star is too much in this case!!”

“They have glorified illustrations but the product does not match. Its better to display the exact product, and illustrate the grown size after. If anyone is looking to buy Sambucus Black Lace just pop into B&Q and you will get much better deal.”

“Ordered 10 x 9cm Elaeagnus plants in March costing £100. They were well packaged when they arrived, but only 2 had leaves. Anyway, I planted them all up believing that the other 8 should start sprouting over Spring - as long as they have a good root system. Over two months on and the 2 plants that already had leaves are doing well, but the other 8 are virtually still all bare, apart from a couple that attempted to sprout, but seem to have stopped now having only managed a couple of stunted leaves. So all in all, it's cost me £50 each for two small healthy plants. I won't use Gardener's Dream again. The quality of their plants is just not good enough.”

“Purchased a rooted Christmas tree for garden , done everything by the book , great care & well nourished soil etc .. totally dead in less then 5 months .!! When it arrived it did not look Pot grown tree but one that was dug up placed in cracked plastic tub then pushed in a outer tub so we replanted straight away . It was never to be used in the house but was purchased for a tree in garden to decorate Christmas time, well no chance of that !! The tree was £100 .., so contacted customer care & to be honest they could NOT care less , nice as pie whilst ordering but should you have a problem then JUST FORGET IT!!”
